I'm not a Hot Wheels fan but I do love restoration videos. Seeing someone take something that is on the brink of junk and bring it back to life is awesome. Great job.
This video is so satisfying to watch. I find it amazing how people like this gentleman have and make time to fix things. It is a nice hobby to have and if a lot of youngsters would have a craft like this gentleman, they’d be a whole lot more productive in life. Thanks for sharing good sir!
I don’t know why I’m here. I have work early in the morning but here I am watching the most random video on the planet, but at the same time It’s really satisfying to watch... I foresee myself watching more. Cool vid 👍🏽
Now I have to go look in my mom's attic for my old box of toys, I think I should have a lot of 70's matchbox and hot wheels. I'm looking forward to this, you just gave a 50 year old man a new hobby, lol. You did a great job, beautiful work, keep em coming.
I was watching this on my phone....the family insisted I pop it up on the tv....awesome and so unexpected....until today I had no idea that this type of restoration existed!
For some reason this was in my recommended videos and for some reason I clicked on this video and for some reason I watched the whole video for no reason because i will never need to know how to do this. And I was not disappointed
I have been painting real cars for 30 years but it all started with models. So satisfying to see this process on a small scale. Keep up the good work. Also amazing how much more it costs for all the parts and material to get your work done versus how much that car costs Original.
I've always LOVED cars! Growing up my grandad and dad owned a garage. My dad was always restoring pickups. 56's mostly. I loved it. And I've collected the hot wheels, and Matchbox cars myself. Watching you restore the red car took me back many years. My dad is gone, but I'm sure he's watching your videos with me and maybe restoring something in Heaven if God allows. Again, thank you so much. Never knew people restored toys. And I'd have kept that one too for my collection! My real favorites are the minis. "I" got my grandsons old ones when he grew out of them. I'll never grow out of "my" toys. Or my memories. You have a Blessed Holiday!
Beautiful to look your work. I do restoration on video games and systems by myself. Usually I am not interested in little hot wheels or matchbox cars but man this is nice. You did the job with a lot of detail and passion ! :) greetings from germany keep up your great work
Looks awesome, there is hope for all the redlines I have stored away. Just so sad there was no ad's on this..looks like TH-cam is doing it's best to drive creators away from the site
I have had a ton of trouble on this site when I do a toy pull down. These get demonetized and then fail a manual review. I'm wondering if the fail is because I show a drill and tools. So this has me looking to see who does similar style videos to my demonetized ones. I'm starting to realise the absolute failure of the demon process is TH-cam never tell you where and why a video fails. It really feels like a system thats heavily bent to their favour and not the creators.
I didn't even know Hot Wheels made a 68 El Dorado!! I NEED to get one. This is the car that my parents drove me home from the hospital after being born. I would love to have one¡!¡! Love this guys videos I am hooked.
man, i have hundreds of hot wheels and matchbox cars from childhood, all needing restoration!!! this really is cool, i will have to dig them out. . .it will keep me busy for a while!!!
I love this! I have so many of my old Hot Wheels from my childhood. I had no idea that this was possible. I just always took as good of care of mine because I didn’t know this was even possible. Thank you so much for this excellent video and I really enjoy your commentary, it is very helpful. I now will go through mine (1960-1970) and maybe I can attempt to restore some that need it. Again I say thanks for this excellent content. I now go to watch more of your content.
Thanks for the suggestion, I do appreciate the subscription but I only get a chance to reply to comments once a week at most. I work roughly 55 hours a week at a full-time job, have a family that includes a grandson, maintain comments on this YT channel and I also have a larger YT channel. I typically reply to all comments within 2 weeks. I'm pretty certain you can ask anyone of my subs and they will tell you I reply to 99.9% of all comments. I'm sorry thanking you or anyone in a timely manner is not at the top of my list and it never will be. I have a 4 year old that is a million times more important than anything the internet has to offer.
I'm confused about the "Redline" designation. What does that refer to? I'm looking on google and all I could find was that it was discontinued in 1977.
Nice job I’m about to start a resto on a Eldorado myself, just drilled it out , gonna strip it later and I’m waiting on the spectra flame paint..I wasn’t going to do the vinyl roof but I think I might now after watching you do it. Thanks for sharing your redline wisdom
Hey man! I recently found a 1968 Custom T Bird in all red at a garage sale. It's in very rough condition and I am gathering my strength to restore it. This video motivates me to do so! Keep yo the great work (although this video was released 6 years ago).
Subscribed. I am a fan of the Hot Wheels cars and just watching you restore this OG hotwheel from cruddy to Godmode was complete bliss! Especially if you like working with your hands to do this kind of stuff. 100% awesome. Bring us more retro restorations!!!
Please don’t listen to comments about your narration, 100% balanced. I have never watched a video like this and everything you said was great. Some people need to stick to cartoon channels. Thank you for your effort.
Thank you! Oh I don't pay any attention at all. If I did, I wouldn't do the videos. These are for a now 5 year old and I couldn't care less of what the negative folks say..

Carlos Noriega have you seen Marty's Matchbox Makeovers...? Equal in quality and calmness... until you see his closing credit outtakes haha...

You're like the Bob Ross of Hot Wheels restoration. So relaxing!

Didn't know this was a thing but man is it satisfying.
The fact TH-cam really knows how to satisfy your mind by just adding random shit to your Recommended is smart and creepy in a way.
When I was a kid I did my own restoration with nail polish and took a beating for it as well
Same here.
Hahaha that what you get
Me too
Yes, a true artist suffers for his work.
Lol
A layer of primer and then silver would really make this car's paint pop!!!! Great job with a quick restore!!!!
A very satisfying ending! Rebuilding the wheels is a difficult task for us. Would love to see more videos like this one! I'm back!
after you pulled the wheels off, you shoulda got a camera shot of it sitting on some mini cinder blocks
HA! That would have been hilarious.
😂😂😂😂

Looks awesome, there is hope for all the redlines I have stored away. Just so sad there was no ad's on this..looks like TH-cam is doing it's best to drive creators away from the site
Thanks!
It's just full of those shitty viners now. All the original TH-cam stars weren't even in YTRewind smh. Content like this is hard to come by now.
5 more years and youtube will be a netflix like pay-platform and some other company will have a video sharing site with no political agenda.

man, i have hundreds of hot wheels and matchbox cars from childhood, all needing restoration!!! this really is cool, i will have to dig them out. . .it will keep me busy for a while!!!
I used to play with them all the time when I was a child. This reminded me.of my old memories.. Keep up the good work
Your vids are strangely relaxing! Thanks :)
Ha! Thanks!
I just commented the same thing on a video as well. I always watch them to relax.
Hmm. Maybe I need to make some ASMR vids :) Thanks, I appreciate it!
Andrew Cryer I'm on break and I'm totally into the video but yet...I'm falling asleep ..weird.
:)
It is amazing how people can destroy something but can restore it almost the way it was
Excellent work! Your patience to fix and restore the details, like the original, was amazing. Keep the good working man!
Thanks! They are all for a 4 year old so they won't stay looking good long!

I'll answer myself because I just found it. Red lines on wheels. Aha!
lol.. Sorry for the delay.
First time I saw this type of restoration
Hat's off your patience man
Yo hubiese querido restaurar mis autitos regalones de infancia....buen video....novedoso.....te ganaste un suscriptor. Saludos desde Chile!!!.

La verdad q no.. mejor sigo viendo desafio sobre fuego..
I found at a pawn shop a 1970 boss hoss mustang chrome. the only thing wrong with it is a missing wheel.
Well, looks like the Redline shop can help you out with that, not that they were sponsoring this video :)
They weren't but I wish they were. The paint can get kinda pricey.
It was a hot wheels first collectors club mail in as that started in 1970
It has the 'CheckEngine' light on.... Damn it!
17 minutes of straight passion, awesome job
What a beautiful work! I wish I had your patience.

I wish hot wheels would release a sweet 16 revival lineup, so I could buy brand new the original hotwheels
Incredible video! it never occurred to me that you can restore hot wheels. Very cool
Considering the condition of this car before this is one hell of a restoration well done 👏
Thanks!
