Ingredients: 1lb/500g chicken breast (you could use thighs too) 1/4 cup honey 1/4 cup light soy sauce 1 tbsp vinegar (any kind works) 1/4 cup chicken stock/broth or water 5 large cloves garlic 2 tbsp butter 1/2 cup all purpose flour 1 tsp garlic powder 1 tsp salt 1 tsp red chilli flakes/crushed pepper ---------------------------------------------------- Tips: • If using chicken breast, pound it like shown in the video. This way the meat is tender and not rubbery. Skip if using chicken thighs • For pounding you could use a mallet, rolling pin, pestle, wine bottle, anything strong really • This sauce is great on wings/fried chicken/fried veggies too
The way you did this video was different, with no talking. It was relaxing and made me want to try your recipe even more. The music selection was beautiful
I love how this video was shot and to the point. TH-camrs who video their recipes just talk and talk and talk and almost toward the end of their video is when the recipes are actually shown. TH-camrs with those kinds of videos should take lessons from this one.
I made this tonight and must give it 5 stars. My wife agreed. It was a fun meal to prepare. The chicken was moist and flavorful and I think the sauce would be excellent with just about any meat or even on many vegetables.
I made this chicken recipe tonight following your instructions to the letter and it was delectable! I had 2 Springer Mountain Farms chicken breasts (the most tender chicken in the market right now) I cut them cross-ways to get 4 pieces. The chicken was tender and the sauce was just perfectly seasoned! The sesame seeds and green onions at the end made it very Asian-inspired. I served it with white rice and a salad and we loved it! A nice new recipe for chicken that isn’t just the ‘same old same old’. Im going to try this method next to be the chicken in my Cobb salad. I’m a new subscriber now! Thank you!
Made this last night and we truly loved it! I added some fresh lemon juice. And found it needed some extra honey or sugar. But so good and we will make it again. Thanks so much.
I've discovered you from your comment in Kimono mom! I can also say that this recipe was very easy and it became my roommates'' favorite meal! thanks a lot!
Have it all ready to make tomorrow night for supper. Going to serve with smashed potatoes and corn on the cob. Need to make a dessert tomorrow. What I wanted to say is, I use a small cast iron pot to tenderize the chicken. It works awesome on any meat product that needs tenderizing. Also smashed the whole garlic bulb. I’m so glad I kept the pot. This recipe sounds amazing. Almost wish I would have said no to supper with friend tonight.
Thankyou for this video. I am 15 and getting into cooking ive failed many times trying online recipes and felt like giving it up but this video helped so much and it tasted so good my family loved it :)
I stumbled upon this recipe of urs for my boss, thou I didn't follow the way u cooked the chicken breast( coz my boss doesn't like oil in his food,I pan grilled the chicken) .The sauce turned out sooo amazing he loved it.Two wks in a row this is his lunch😆.Thank u for sharing ur recipe🥰
I made this last night, it was so good. First time I've ever made something that tasted like it came from a real restaurant with a chef. Next time I would use a little less soy sauce, but was still amazing. And it was soooo easy!
Hey! i would like to try this.. but i HATE garlic. if i were given a choice between death and drinking garlic juice i would gladly die. so- my question is- did the garlic taste strong in the chicken?
@@Nur-lz1tl The garlic was definitely a factor in the flavor. But I don't see why you couldn't reduce it to little or none. I used about a tablespoon of minced garlic. The soy flavor is also very pronounced in this, and the sweetness of the honey balances it all out. I think it would still be good with just a hint of garlic.
What a relaxing video! And that looks so flavorful and delicious. I would love to try it. I would just need to tweak the recipe since I have five people to feed. Thank you for the wonderful presentation.
Just made this as one of my first chicken dishes. I'm finally teaching myself how to cook actual dishes (after overcoming years of hesitation/internal fear of making bad food or killing myself from some dumb kitchen accident 😂😂) and this was a really nice starter dish, I had fun with it. Appreciate the brevity of the video, as well as the shot selection and production! Thanks for the recipe! 🙏🏼💯
This is the first recipe I’ve tried of yours. It’s sooooo good. Btw, if I want to replace the honey with sugar like in your new garlic recipe, what would that conversation be? It’s not 1:1 I believe.
Ingredients:
1lb/500g chicken breast (you could use thighs too)
1/4 cup honey
1/4 cup light soy sauce

This looks delicious.. more like chicken kindu, right? I’m going to try it. Thanks.
Is it alright to cook honey .I've read somewhere that cooking honey is not advised .
@@aryaanil1890 I have cooked with honey lots of times
That marinade/sauce is the exact same as my asian wing sauce just add some roasted ginger and a bit of orange juice!! YUMMY!!!🙂

Sooo true
No one listens lol. High quality video, no talking, short & straight to the point. perfection
Delicious and easy recipe, added a 1/4 cup of orange juice to the sauce to balance the soy and it was a game changer.
fresh or store bought?
@@kule5391 store bought, I like the simply orange brand.

Same here🤣
I hear the music and see a world war 1 flying ace in a French restaurant eating this chicken and drinking root beer.

Ditto! I made it last nite for dinner. It's easy and scrumptious!
The production quality, music choice, and quality of food is incredible.
Made last night. Delicious! Made for great leftovers, too. Thank you!
Beautiful presentation…. Well balanced and lovely recipe. This was thoughtfully put together. You very much understand the balance of ingredients.
Made this last night and we truly loved it! I added some fresh lemon juice. And found it needed some extra honey or sugar. But so good and we will make it again. Thanks so much.

Oh nice! I love Kimono Mom's channel 😍 so glad to hear my recipe was a hit with your roommate!
I liked to mix a tiny bit of corn starch’s after taking out the chicken to get a bit more thickness to the sauce. Thanks for the recipe 👌
Seems like a nice idea but wouldn’t it interfere with flavors? Makes it a bit less of everything?
me too 😁
@@hana.the.writer5074 most people don't taste corn starch

tried it tonight, superb....however my only substitute was the dry white wine, switched it to gingerale...we don't like alcohol in food.
