That 4th quarter Lebron, 5 3's, 19 points, a couple of great assists. . . one of the quarters ever. And there was none other than Kawhi, Harden and Westbrook on the floor _AGAINST_ him. Lebron was playing as if to say, "Yeah, you guys were my contemporaries... and you were great. but let's not forget who the best among us is..."

I grew up about 10 mins south of Akron and Lebron came to watch one of the girls in my grades 8th grade basketball game because her dad was his friend. My friend and I were some of the only people at the game and when we saw Lebron walk in, my buddy sprinted 30 minutes home to get his Lebrons, came back and we walked up to him got fist bumps and my buddy got his brons signed. My late father got to watch Lebron play at St.V's and always said he was the greatest athlete regardless of sport that he had ever seen. Granted he had watched several future NFL hall of famers through the Stark County football machine. Lebron is more than an athlete to people where I'm from. He represents the 330 and has done more for the city of Akron than any single person. I never saw Michael Jordan play, just like I never saw Johnny Unitas play QB or Paul Brown coach a game. I can't say any of those guys are GOATS but I've seen Lebron play several times and he is the most athletic human being I've ever seen. He is the greatest athlete to ever live. #bronsexual

So, if Lebron will never be their greatest player, here is one thing Jimy paints a great picture of that nobody can deny. He is far and away the most dominant in NBA history.
His level of play and the length of time he’s played is historic. Nobody will touch his records for decades. Maybe ever with no more high school prospects. What he has done for the length of time he’s played is hard to illustrate just how impressive it is.

Lukas will likely have 35+ ppg seasons to make up for that difference and scoring is easier now (imagine if he increases his minutes even more). The issue with Luka is that I doubt he's going to remain as dominant for long, but I can see Luka eventually surpassing LeBron's pace, which isn't a stretch, since he's a better scorer, just like MJ was (and MJ was far ahead of LeBron as well). What will prevent Luka from surpassing LeBron will be longevity imo, but if we compare both at 30, Luka might be ahead...

Like there are and have been well-rounded or complete players. But none that are historically elite at multiple things. And then none who have been for this long. That chart represents that super well.
But yesterday, I noticed another ridiculous stat. So the 40k points (which didn't even need to be mentioned in this video!) made him the only player with 40k points, 11k rebounds, and 10k assists. He was also the first to 30/11/10, 20/10/10, and is still the ONLY player with 10/10/10. He passed Magic and Nash and is only a few hundred assists from Chris Paul, who is still playing but LeBron averages more assists per season so he'll slowly overtake him anyway.
The only player who's mathematically on pace to just get 10/10/10 is, to no one's surprise, Jokic. But he's 9 seasons in with just over half the rebounds and under half the assists. He'd have to play at his current level for basically another 9 years with little to no drop off... and he still wouldn't have 20/10/10.
      This is insane.

Appreciate the greatness while it’s here!!! While a lot have opened their eyes over the years, unfortunately there are countless of people who truly hate this man for stupid reasons. They will begin to finally understand his greatness when he’s retired which sucks but I’d hate for him to pass away for y’all to truly appreciate him and understand how great he is. Just like yall did Kobe smh I hope it doesn’t happen like that.

This is one of the best videos you’ve put up.. What LJ has done is spectacular and the stats really tell you what he’s doing is just not anything normal as we might think it is.. We’re so accustomed to this level of play that we tend to overlook what we’re actually witnessing.. To be able to be in the conversation of the best player over two decades is something we must give him his Flowers for.. This isn’t about the GOAT conversion.. more for us to remember and cherish this kind of play that we probably may never see again👑

Not to take anything away from Lebron, or other players, but 4th quarter scoring can be deceptive. For example Anthony Edwards is averaging 6.2 ppg in the 4th quarter compared to 8.1 for Lebron. The difference. Anthony Edwards is on the number 1 seed in the west, and is part of one of the best defenses of the last 10 years. The Timberwolves have held 18 opponents below 100 points, and have been apart of a lot of blowouts. Anthony Edwards hasn’t needed to do nearly as much as Lebron, and the Lakers in the fourth to win games. And Lebron needs to do a lot don’t get me wrong. Lakers are struggling. And this holds true for all the other players who are leading the nba in 4th quarter scoring as well (outside of Giannis whos the 3 seed.) The fourth quarter scoring leaders this season are Trae Young 7.7 points in the fourth and the 10th seed, fox 7.7 points in the fourth and the 7th seed, Curry. 7.5 points and the 9th seed, Durant 7.4 points and 6th seed… etc. basically the teams that have been in a lot of close games will have the point scoring leaders, while players like shai, ant, Tatum, Jokic, etc will be in cruise control. Doesn’t mean any of these players are better than each other, just that it’s a bad stat to compare stars.

fair point, makes a lot of sense! I havent thought about that while watching.
I also thought the many comparisons with 21th season was weird, first we saw that he basically was the only player with a resonable 21th season, from that point on I would have loved to see the comparison by age, not the season, Im sure he would have led everything by age as well, but we could have gotten some better context from it.
Still I always love his videos
