Doing the mirrored picture inside picture makes this playthrough that much better. Thanks for the little details!

You could have satisfied the summer crops goal. You had three planted in the field when you revealed that goal. The turn when you redeemed the fall forageables, you could have gotten the blueberries from your partner and watered for the other summer crops and delivered to both goal cards.

I really enjoy the board game and video game but I don't think I would ever play the short variant used in this video, especially with some of the goals (the legendary fish and reaching the bottom of the mine in particular) that would require focusing almost exclusively on them to achieve in so few turns. The game is a little luck heavy but it does such a great job of capturing the charm of the video game. With catching legendary fish there isn't anything you can do if you never pull them from the bag but in general there is a decent amount of luck mitigation through upgrading tools/professional upgrades. Stardew Valley isn't my favorite board game or the greatest game ever, but it is just enjoyable to play, especially if you are a fan of the video game.

Thanks for the runthrough. I don't think the Final Thoughts video is the right one though.

Who designed the inlay? Could save 40% space by double use the finger spots. Keep an eye for these faults.

i'm not sure if it's a fault if they're simply trying to fix it into a standard sized game box :)

@@rahdo a standard siced gamebox with 50% air in it is a fault for nature i think.
From my german view many of our puplishers try to look more for such things.
We as consumers should have an eye for this.
So maybe the tray is right but the decission for the boxsice is not.
      Thats what i feel about.
Just constructive criticism. Try to with my poor english.

that is certainly a fair point :)

The inlay is incredibly shallow (maybe half an inch?) and is the width of the box. Any changes made to it could not have made the box any smaller since the box is the width of the many punchboards the game came with and the folded game board. The box is far from having 50% air, it is pretty densely packed with components. Making the inlay smaller could have saved a little plastic but would have also likely made the components not fit in the box as neatly.
