You are right about this song sounding like "Creep" by Radiohead. Radiohead got sued for it and lost. You got a good ear for hearing the similarities!

The Hollies are awesome, songs from them that are top notch are: "He aint Heavy, hes my brother," "bus stop" and "long cool woman in a black dress"all chart toppers! FYI, the Hollies named the Band after Buddy Holly! One of my all time favorites...

A song from my youth. Written by Albert Hammond who wrote a number of great songs, of which "The Free Electric band" was meaningful to me as a youngster trying to find my way. Such memories, so thanks for that one. Be well, and keep the good tunes rolling.

@@user-gt2uf8cq9y Agreed. But so many lesser artists get missed because of the need for views and likes which drive creators to use popular songs from popular artists. I grew up on Genesis, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin and so on, all of whim have songs with millions of views. But Tanita Tikaram, had big hits off of her first album and is worth a listen. Or one off singles from an age ago. Joybringer by Manfred Mans Earthband, or Burn Baby Burn by Hudson Ford, it's difficult to get anyone interested. Or Jamie T if you want more up to date music. Anyway the list is endless. Good of you to reply though, and the attack on the face paints made me smile. Be well and have a happy everyday.

First, Happy Birthday T. Glad to have you two back, been a week since I’ve heard from your content. The 70’s was my High School years. But when the 70’s had ended, there was a departure from the true Love Songs. This song was a beautiful example of love songs. The songs that were danced to at Proms around the country. I remember when the local Radio Station would have a request night when teens would call in their requests to be played over the radio and the girls could be heard saying, that me and my boyfriend had a fight and I want him to know I am sorry and play this song. Funny, bet none of those couples can even recall their BF or GF name today..🤣

It has only just started but man that's a good catch. And in fact, and I say this as a musician, Radiohead, intentionally or otherwise lifted a pretty long segment out of this and they combined it with another segment that's also similar, it's just too much. And so The Hollies sued Radiohead and won. It's cool that you noticed the similarity.
