Volume 1 of Ed Brubaker’s run is out of print AGAIN and I missed it 😖 I’m going to have to wait again for it. I agree his run is almost better then Bendis and I love Andy Diggle’s writing and REALLY enjoyed his Thunderbolts run. There was also the Death of Daredevil: Man Without Fear mini by Jed MacKay that's a bridge between the Soule and Zdarsky runs, which was collected in a single TPB. Can't believe I didn't think of this when I first watched this. :-O
@@NearMintCondition not easily? haha It was just a five issue mini. Oversize collection-wise, It would probably fit best at the end of Soule's run. It acts as a bridge between Soule and Zdarsky's runs similarly to the way DD: Reborn bridged Shadowland events to Waid's run. If it was collected at the end of Soule, it would allow for a fresh start for Zdarsky. Assuming that either/both got the oversize treatment of course (because they both deserve it at this point).

Merry Christmas my friend. I gotta get that Nocenti Epic Collection that's OOP (Vol 14 Heart of Darkness) before it gets too much more expensive! I believe vol 12 is coming out soon and will finish out the Nocenti run. I would say Nocenti is one of the better Daredevil writers, but the best runs are of course Frank Miller, Brian Bendis (by far the best of his Marvel superhero work), and Ed Brubaker. I thought Kevin Smith's run was pretty good too.

With the exception of Uncanny X-Men, Daredevil has had the best runs with some of the best writers ever. Bendis is the reason that Daredevil is now a top 5 character of mine. Superlative is an understatement.
Hello, I'm trying to get the ed brubaker daredevil books volume 1 and 2 in the vol.2 book it says issues 106 to 119 then it goes back to its original number correct? Does that mean when it says issue 500 does that basically mean issue 120 the continuation of issue 119? Please let me know if very much will appreciate it. Also thanks for this video! Hey there, you are 100 percent correct. The numbering system gets confusing not just with collected editions. So the original number 500 is the legacy number and yeah even after a restart it will go back to that.
The Ultimate Marvel Graphic Novel Collection #82 [Classic XL] - Daredevil - Marked for Death (which prints issues 158-61, 163-7) and The Mighty World of Marvel also skipped Daredevil #162.

I have one question most of ed brewbakers run looks like is either always out of stock or have sky high prices. The website you suggested seems to never stock those comics. Unless they are out of print. Think you could help?
Been wanting to get into daredevil but wanted to start at the bendis run then brubaker run, would i need to read the previous stuff to understand anything in their runs or am i safe to hop right in
I have a Daredevil Decalogue book that I bought without knowing the whole story. Brian Michael Bendis is a good writer so I think its safe to hop in. I really enjoyed the story despite not having any context.
I’m so confused around 11:44. You said it’s the end of the epic collection, thus being the end of “Volume 1”. But, that volume says “Volume 21”. Isn’t the 1st epic collection “Volume 1”? Also, why is the next book (the OHC of Quesada and Mack) referred to as the start of “Volume 2”? The spine of that book says “Volume 1”. I know that because I own the book. You also wrote in the little yellow sticky note with the book title showing “Daredevil Volume 1”. Sorry for noob question but comic orders and numberings confuse tf out of me and I’m trying to understand them better. Thanks for the help in advance
When he says refers to vol. 21 being then end of vol. 1, he's referring to Daredevil as a series, not just the epics. It's the end of vol. 1 of all of Daredevil. Epic collections are also not published in chronological order, sometimes vol. 6 will come out before vol. 2, for example. Vol. 21 of the Daredevil collects the final issues Daredevil, which is why "Vol. 2" starts off with the Kevin Smith material, which is numbered issues 1 to 15, instead of the original numbering of issue 300 or whatever. Also, the Quesada Hardcover is the beginning of vol. 2, it just has "vol. 1" on the spine because that's part of a series of hardcovers that continue to collect the material from Bendis and Maleev. Not a noob question, it's very confusing. Hope this helps.

Specially since it says it has the issue when it doesnt.
hey Omar , thanks for the video, recently ordered the brubaker omnis 1 and 2. I also plan to get the mark waid omnis later. Do you think that the brubaker run is a good jumping on point or do need to read the bendis run as well?
I think Brubaker is phenomenal, but it is a direct follow up to Bendis, my thoughts are to read Bendis first.
@@NearMintCondition Cool Thanks ! Okay now to wait for the bendis reprint
Does the same kind of thing exist for Galactus? An omnibus of some kind or anything else that regroups his stories in an easy way? Thanks.
I’m so confused I just started reading daredevil I started with lockdown part 1 so Matt is in federal jail and Electra is daredevil
Sorry if it’s been asked and I know this is waaay late, but I wonder if they’ll release a Daredevil vol 2 by Lee and Colan
anyone know which epic volume contains the man without fear story?
I have one question most of ed brewbakers run looks like is either always out of stock or have sky high prices. The website you suggested seems to never stock those comics. Unless they are out of print. Think you could help?
Awesome video 👍👏.
Thank you so much.
any chance that you could do this for Captain America?
I can add that to the poll sometime soon.
I like the current series, but for a long time reader it feels a bit like Vol 2 when Iron Fist pretended to be DD.
Cowabunga minties 🤙
The shadowland omnibus is in reading order?
It sure is. :)
Can I collect volume 1 of the series just through the epoc collections? Do they include ALL the issues?
No, there are no epics that collect any of Frank Miller's run. (Yet)
Im new to comics so I dont get the terminology what do you mean by volume 2 and why do they renumber it 12:40
I’m so confused around 11:44.
Hey, Omar! Ar you going to do a reading order for Wolverine anytime soon? Can't wait to see it!
I believe the next big two will be voted by the Patrons. I'm not sure what will go up, but I think Wolverine will be u pt there.
@@NearMintCondition Cool! Thanks for your quick reply as always!! Keep it up, Omar!🎇🎇🎇🎇🎇
