I was surprised to see the NS power helping on the UP ethanol train, Red. I can't remember seeing them before. The UP mixed manifest with the mid-train DPU was cool 😎! It had quite a variety of cars on it. 😊😊😊😊😊❤❤❤❤❤
Hahahahaha Red 2 with the dental floss dance! Love it! Well Red, a lot of action in this video! Awesome drone work as usual. Wow, that rain sure did flood everything. I'm glad your camper never got soaked. Fantastic video Sir. Keep them coming! Cheers 🇨🇦
Hello Red, the flooding of the Iowa River looks terrible. The UP freight trains and your drone flight are great again. It rained very heavily where you live, so that the railroad crossing was washed away. There is also a lot of flooding in southern Germany, so that houses had to be evacuated. Thanks for your video and have a nice Sunday, best wishes Wolfgang
Hi Red boy you have had some rain. The flooded area looks like a mangrove. Hope everything dries up quickly & no more flooding its so awful when your property gets flooded. All great trains you caught that day Red, The best train was the 5 loco intermodel that turned out to be a manifest! The 4 loco intermodel switching tracks was cool too & 2 mid dpu's that was awsome. See you on the next one Red, take care. ❤😊👍
Great video today, Red! Lots of fabulous trains and flood shots. I'm sure glad it didn't get into your camper. It had to be bad enough with your yard getting trashed. Is the Mississippi flooding, too? It's amazing the power that not all that much flowing water has. I can't imagine a flash flood! Tell Walter and Roger I said hi. I hope they didn't get wet. I always enjoy watching your posts. I hope you and the dogs have a spectacular weekend, and I'll chat with you later. Thanks again! 😊😊😊😊😊😊😊❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Great assortment of trains and cargo. The first crossover was really moving but slowed quite a bit by the end. I bet the water was close or on the tracks at peak flooding
A lot of the UP trains on the Clinton sub roll through Rochelle Il on the Geneva sub Red. A lot of them stop at the UP Global 3 and get cut and other cars get hooked up for Chicago. And yes both Iowa and Illinois have a lot of rain and flooding.
Sure was Nervous about the Mississippi River Floodwaters over the past 2 month down South of St. Louis around Chester, IL. Floods can be very Destructive. 🤔
That's a lot of water everywhere! How has everything been since? Best catches are the last train with that old scheme leader and the NS Dash 9 leader with also their older scheme.
Elephant style 4 engine lash-up on that monster stack - awesome catch👍 seems the ties are dropped at the exact location where the are used, or? Otherwise it seems random how them ties are placed. The rail gang puts the pre-fab rail in as well, or? Hope you can catch them for us. How is Cedar Falls coping with the water?
Thanks Aranea! Usually the ties are close to their replacement spot. I hope to catch the tie gang. Getting the schedule can be difficult. No problems in Cedar Falls, Montour was definitely worse!
Saturday, 25 May 2024, was a busy day of railfanning in Montour, Iowa for you, Red! You must have been running from doing work around your property to the tracks to catch trains. All that overflow of water from the Iowa River was amazing. I have never seen that much water covering the ground before. Just out of curiosity, do you know if that lake near the paper mill in Tama, Iowa was refilled by all the rain that had hit the Montour/Tama area of Iowa?
Several comments. 1st. I hope you are available when the tie gang comes through your area so you can film each machine doing what they do. It's been 20 years since I was on a tie gang. 2nd. There is flooding going on here up by Shakopee Minnesota and Savage Minnesota, along the Minnesota River.
The tie gang usually messes up train schedules lol. Although double track will still allow slower train traffic while the tie gang stops each time for each train to pass.
Darned if all that water doesnt look like my backyard after a heavy rain, it gets 15" deep at the low end. Ive even found crawdads in it, and i am about a mile from the nearest river.
@@redsiowatrainvideos6645 i more or less preserved the last one i found a couple years ago, but it was only the shell that was left, and it had been a good sized one......some people say they taste better than lobster! My sis & i used to catch them in the river at our summer house at Havana Illinois, in the late 1950s/early 1960s, we would play with them until we were tired, then let them go back into the river, these were small ones, only about a few inches long. And, we were very careful not to let them grab us with those pinchers, that would put the hurt on in a big hurry 😵😨😱😢😭😡😠❗
Another great video Red man you stay safe out there and watch your back and we’ll see you on the next one
Thanks Timmy!
A very cool 😎 intermodal with 2 mid-train DPUs! Very long, too! 😊😊😊😊😊😊❤❤❤❤❤❤

Thanks Phantom! Red 2 can put on a show. Went from drought to flood. No surprise in this state!

Hey Wolfgang, you're welcome! I hope that's the end of the high water. We went from drought to floods in a matter of a month!

Hi Carol, thanks! A lot going on that day for footage. One bad thing about the flood water is the amount of bugs afterwards!
@@redsiowatrainvideos6645 oh no! 😱 I never thought of that Red.
The priority train wasn't wasting any time at all. I love fast trains! 😊😊😊😊😊❤❤❤❤❤

Hello Red . Fantastic shots love the bridge video 👍🏻😎Robin out.
Yo Robin, thanks! Water was touching the span even.
Great assortment of trains and cargo. The first crossover was really moving but slowed quite a bit by the end. I bet the water was close or on the tracks at peak flooding
Thanks David S! The water was up to the tracks but not over the rails. Took a lot of power washing at my property.
@redsiowatrainvideos6645 ill bet. It hasn't been this wet in years. At least the drought is better
I always enjoy your drone footage. You have become very proficient in using that drone for aerial footage.👍🏼
Thanks Colleen!
It was nice of them to put some “extra tracks” by your place. Are they gonna connect it so they leave you a CNW hopper?🤣
Boy wouldn't that be nice Cory! Tracks will go on a near by river bridge soon👍
Superb vid Red, just captures everything, luv where you're living, right by the action.❤️ The speed of that steel going by u. 😎😎😎😎
@@VTACTechnical Thanks VTAC! My spot is definitely close to the steel. That's my getaway property👍

your video,s are great thanks Red !
You're welcome Jack!
Yeah there’s still some lingering water in places, doesn’t look like it interrupted UP rail traffic, which is just awesome. It’s drone time Red.👍🏼😎
Now it's bug time around here Nancy! That old CNW line was well designed for high water situations👍
Hi Red, those trains were flying. Nice drone shots. Sorry to hear about the flooding. Hope all is well now. 🚂🚂
Hey Anthony! Still have some clean up to do but it could have been worse.
That was a lot of power on the intermodal/auto rack for no longer than the train was. 😊😊😊😊❤❤❤❤
Sure was Nervous about the Mississippi River Floodwaters over the past 2 month down South of St. Louis around Chester, IL. Floods can be very Destructive. 🤔
That's for sure! The 2008 Floods were devastating up here in Cedar Falls. Lots of clean up involved.
Nice catches!
I feel for the farmers that may need to replant their flooded fields. 🙁🙁
Hopefully the big rains are done for awhile. What a mess!
@@redsiowatrainvideos6645 It sure looked like it. I can't imagine what it looked like at the height of the flooding. 🙂

Still some standing water around. Gonna clean up down there tomorrow. Lot of power washing!
@@redsiowatrainvideos6645 Good luck out there!

I was definitely busy that day with trains and chores! That's a good idea with Cherry Lake in Tama. I may check it out tomorrow 👍
Thank you for displaying the 🇺🇸 for 80 yr anniversary of D-Day
You're welcome Jeffrey!

Trying to get the curfew schedule on the tie gang. That can be tough along with schedule changes.

Things got a little wet there in Montour. Did you hear how many inches they had there? (Thanks for the Vid.)
You're welcome Fred! I heard 5 inches of rain in a short period of time.
wow cant believe as high as the water is on the bridge there flying thru there
I thought the same thing!

TURN ON CC PLEASE....

Hopefully You Can Catch The Tie Gang Working
Gonna try. Getting the schedule can be tricky since I don't live at that property.
Herzog must have been through.
Military surplus International payloader?
Hopefully I can catch a tie gang soon.
One extreme to the other
For sure!
