Good actions in Marshalltown Iowa and a UP size mixed freight I love that actions and nice CN L571 mixed freight hope you had a good thanksgiving red 😎👍
Another awesome awesome video Red, and man you stay warm out there and as always you stay safe out there and watch your back and we’ll see you on the next one
I enjoyed watching the action at the Union Pacific ex-Chicago & North Western Marshalltown, Iowa freight yard, Red! It was nice to see that CNW car still sporting CNW reporting marks. The Progress Rail engines that you zoomed in on at 2:09 must be lease units. After that westbound manifest slowed to a stop and then started up again, I thought the train was pulling out of town. Instead, it must have dropped off the conductor so that he could throw the switch tp allow the train to back into the yard to do some work. Hopefully, the train did not foul mainline track #2 for too long a time while they were working the yard. That was a decent size Canadian National train #L591 heading west through Cedar Falls, Iowa. Thanks Red, I enjoyed those manifests, huge they were.. That yard was packed, I was surprised that they were adding more cars to the manifest you showed with the conductor calling out the cars by the switch. That track looked empty, so maybe he was dumping some of the cars there and not added them.. Till next time, Be Crazy and Thanks!!!
Hello Red, an interesting flight over the UPYard, the diesel locomotives from Progress Rail are the Liesing locomotives? This very long UP freight train with many tank cars is great. The second UP freight train with its four lead diesel locomotives is also very nice, the chase flight is great. The CN freight train rounds off your video excellently. Thanks for showing it and have a great time. Best wishes from Germany Wolfgang
@wolfgangpfeilergartenbahnd6530 Hey Wolfgang, you're welcome! Yep I'm pretty sure those were lease locomotives. That's an EMD diesel shop. That yard seems to stay pretty busy👍
@@redsiowatrainvideos6645 As always, many thanks for bringing your passion to us. There's nothing like the sights n sounds of trains at work (but I like the smells too 🤠).

Marshalltown has a massive rail yard. What’s the biggest yard Red has seen in Iowa?
@jeffreyerickson3050 Boy in Iowa I'd have to say Marshalltown. Galesburg and North Platte are massive👍

Red, might want to bump up the shade on lenses a bit as background was bright. Thanks
@joebidenbites1015 Sure thing JBB! I actually figured out how to adjust the exposure on the drone camera. That should work better.

So is it safe to say that when you see new John Deere tractors in Marshalltown. Those cars were picked up in Cedar Rapids from the Iowa Northern?
@@sandyg9228 Yes, I'm sure the Iowa Northern brought them to the North Yard in Cedar Rapids👍
