F#minor is a key that's generally not used a lot in jazz, and this song was originally in A minor. Some people play it in G minor, but as I said, F# minor is a bit unusual, and personally I like the sound of it - it's got quite a different character than the other two.. @@totallyfake2852

It varies from person to person. Some people don't notice, some people, particularly ones with perfect pitch do. There's also a phenomenon called "synesthesia" where people associate each key with a different colour. @@totallyfake2852
