Def not anymore. I switched to Emirates years ago and like them much better. But more recently I flew with Qatar Airways and they were even better! I also knew multiple people who worked for SG Airlines as stewards/stewardesses and they get treated like trash. Both were told that they would not be granted leave and unless they returned to their scheduled flights, they should consider themselves fired. Needless to say, they chose to not risk death/permanent disability and proceeded to go ahead with surgeries.

Great review! I have always thought that SQ's 5th freedom flights between JFK and Europe were a little known secret. They used to have a late night departure from JFK to LHR using a 747. I do miss the " Queen of the Skies" 😪. This was such a pleasant reminder of how much I love SQ. They are my all time favorite airline. The comfortable seats and delicious menu choices are always appreciated but what really sets them apart is their outstanding flight attendants. It's so nice to have FA's who seem to love their jobs and make their passengers feel so welcome. Take care and have a pleasant and rewarding week.
I was lucky enough to fly in Suites on Singapore Airlines a couple of years ago. Had the whole A380 cabin to myself for 13hrs. One of the best experiences on a plane, ever. Will be going back very soon.
I’ve flown with Singapore Airlines several times, loved the food and service. I enjoy your videos, they take me to where I’ve been before and where I would like to go. Thank you and safe travels!

Hi Trek Trendy, I would choose the Singapore chicken satay, cauliflower cream soup although that is a very tough one as the caviar would suffice as well. For the main I would chose grilled pork belly as I love eating all kinds of pork. And finally I would polish off the opera cake. This was a hard choice, albeit one I have to make quite frequently (as I am very rich and fly first class a lot). This was an amazing video! I'm impressed that they gave you a whole bottle of vintage champagne to enjoy all to yourself! The rest still looked pretty good and the card was a lovely touch.
Had the pleasure of travelling in all 4 classes on Singapore Airlines. I could never fault the services provided. I have compared them with a flight out on a different airline. Singapore would have to be my fave airline for overall service. Etihad & Emirates have been great but I have enjoyed Singapore Airlines for 25 years too. PS. I was upgraded many times due to work commitments so free upgrades are appreciated.
I sort of agree with you on this! Singapore is my #1 if I include the airport check in/lounge experience. Singapore is just such an amazing airport in general but the lounge was top notch! BUT out of Singapore/Etihad and Emarites I rank them #2nd #3rd and #4th lol my number one (A380) is Qantas! I may be bias because I’m an American who lived in Sydney for 8 years so I’ve flown 1st & business class with Qantas more than any other airline. But my ex gf was a 1st class flight attendant for Etihad out of Abu Dhabi so you’d think I’d get special treatment and I still preferred Qantas 👍 (And for anyone who wants to comment saying how expensive it is and how did I fly 1st class A380 so many times: Grew up traveling in a family of 5 plus moving to Australia from America as a family meant we all racked up so many miles. Each one of us would get upgraded at least once a year. Then as I got older my gf from high school went off to study hospitality then became a flight attendant for Etihad. They always hire pretty Australian and British women. So I would piggy back my credit card reward points with frequent flyer miles and her buddy passes and stack them to get insane perks! I don’t think you can do it anymore like I used to but for a while it was crazy! From 2008-2010 I got 4 economy+ round the world trips that I traded in for a 1st class Sydney to LA and a 1st class Abu Dhabi to LA.

Years ago i flew from Amsterdam to New York, economy..It was the best flight i've ever been on. Singapore airlines is so good..I did not want to leave the airplane, it was that good.
Best steak I’ve ever had in the sky was surprisingly served by American Airlines, in 2016 business class departing from Sydney Australia. Cooked perfectly medium rare, sensational eye fillet.
During Covid a plane I was on had less than 15 people on the whole plane, not including flight crew. Having the whole row to myself is probably as close to this as I’ll ever get lol
I was once on a Qatar airways flight from London to Kuwait, years before the pandemic, and I guess it was really only running as a positioning flight because there were more flight attendants than passengers in the economy section. I can't remember the plane type, but it was a wide body with five seats across in the middle, so all of us just picked a row and slept lying across them. Very comfy place to sleep honestly!
As usual, it is such an experience to travel vicariously with you. Top notch caviar is not something I've experienced often but I relish it when the opportunity arises. Keep us the good work and thank you, thank you, thank you.
When I was a child, I remember flying Singapore and we were in economy but the flight attendants were SOO nice I loved my experience. Another fond memory was while of Japan Airlines, flying from Japan to Malaysia and the flight attendants kept giving me snacks. I had Pocky, wafer ice cream sandwiches, and got one of those toy airplanes you could build. I would collect them every time I flew with JAL. Would love a review if you haven't done one already!
I took that flight 3 years ago and was very excited to fly in a Singapore A380 Suite - except it was the old layout, with 12 suites rather than the current 6. Don‘t get me wrong, it was still very special, but I had flown the old layout before. In the end, it didn’t matter because I overdid the red wine a bit and ended up sleeping in the chair rather than on the bed. This FRA - NY flight from SQ is not a standard route for the airline (it‘s an extension of the SG - FRA flight) which means their pricing is VERY competitive. Business class round trip should cost you around €2,000, which is around half of what you would pay on Lufthansa or Swiss (pre-pandemic). I used miles to upgrade one way, meaning the first class experience came in just above the price for a round trip premium economy ticket. I‘m hoping to do it again later this year.
You're definitely right with singapore being very hard to access. I live in singapore as an expat and only just managed to fly back home to the uk after well over 2 years. Singapore were briefly offering VTL flights, so vaccinated travel lane flights without stay home notices on arrival, but because of cases spiking they shut down those flights again. So pretty much it is, or was, just barely doable to get in and out of SG. Really hoping we open up again
When my family moved out of SG in Dec of 2020, we managed to get out before any of that happened! So great up we made it as we were traveling with dogs, so it would have been even more difficult. SG was ‘green’ back then, according to the country we were moving to and after being unable to travel through Germany (spiking cases and the airline kept cancelling the flights and moving us to another, repeatedly, as there weren’t enough people flying.) In the end, we changed to Qatar Airways and flew through Doha which was also on Cyprus’ green list and soon after turned red, like Singapore. We were so lucky the stars aligned for us!
Nothing like first class. Makes traveling fun. I still wish to drive places but not possible when traveling to another country. I was taking a flight from Chicago to Dallas when we got caught in a tornado. I was in the bathroom when it started and I was terrified. The flight attendant made me sit next to her in a jump set as we were diverted to another airport to wait out the storm. I asked the flight attendant has this happened before? She said she had never been through turbulence this bad. Nice to tell a scared passenger. Needless to say but I was grateful to wait for a hour in IKansad City whilst the storm passed. 20 minutes is a long time for straight strong turbulence. Beautiful bed that as with two nice pillows and awesome quilt.
I flew Singapore from Australia to the UK & back in economy, as I have a peanut allergy, so no satay for me, I was served 1st & the meal was very good, also once the stewardesses figured out what you were drinking they would ask you if you wanted another each time they passed, those little cups barely kept up with me, but the service was top shelf even in the cheep seats.

Emirates , Qatar, Etihad are partly run by the government I was told, and oil money is no object, spend to make passengers happy is their goal, besides you don't want to make the Sultans unappreciated flying your airlines
That bed looked so comfortable!! I am not a caviar fan, but your enthusiasm was enjoyable to watch while lying in bed flanked by my doggies! I really enjoy your videos-you are by far the best airline reviewer! Cheers from Chicago! P. S. That flight crew seemed fantastic… loved the personalized note, but for $8K, it should have been written in 14 karat gold!! 😂
Thoroughly enjoyed your review, I really feel like I’m on there watching you and one day I just may if I keep saving 😉 however you are hilarious drinking all that fab champers, eating first class food, then going through bad turbulence, I even felt sick watching you 😂 but it didn’t look like it affected you at all!! Cheers 🥂
Awesome review! Is the seat that much better than business? Doesn’t look like as much of a step up unlike their A380s. Thanks for the great content! Safe travels❤️
That's an excellent First class product, even it's not their best First class suite, which is on their A380s. 2nd serve of caviar is also not something you can usually get... Looks like you had some special treat from the FA.
I flew this same route on SQ26 on Jan 10th. Funny how the entire weather outlook at Frankfurt and NY was so different one day later. It was very sunny in Frankfurt as well as NY - no rain at FRA or snow in NY like it was for you! Loved watching this
awesome video. I am heading to Vegas in September, flying from Edinburgh, any suggestions as to who i should fly with and should i pay for business class?
Hey! I really like your videos. Fun fact, I used to work for Lufthansa previously and I actually purchased the automated coffee machines for them! Cheers
How do you handle that kind of turbulence? I'm embarrassed to say I'm absolutely terrified of it after a bad bout over the Atlantic once, and it makes most flights more anxiety-inducing than enjoyable!
Maybe someday I’ll get to fly on SQ and have an amazing experience. For now unfortunately it will be American Airlines. Thanks for taking us along on your journey Mr. Trendy!❤️👍✈️

*Dude* : No no you misunderstood me.. its well done!
*Chef* : Ahh now youre making me blushing
😁😁
🤣🤣🤣 i know what you mean 😅
Wow - this looks GLORIOUS!
Absolutely great video and I can’t wait to fly them this summer in first….. great info.
This is the best Airline I ever stepped on, so friendly the service is excellent and the size of your seat is just fantastic! The food was very good, plus dessert!
You know, I was thinking and I noticed almost all awesome firt class, emirates, ANA, Qatar, Swiss ect are found on the 777-300er, which I don't know , make me very happy since I love the 777 😀. Awesome video by the way
like always
Also, the stratolaucher was making I think if 3 or 2 fly today on California
Emirates , Qatar, Etihad are partly run by the government I was told, and oil money is no object, spend to make passengers happy is their goal, besides you don't want to make the Sultans unappreciated flying your airlines
“As you can see here I’m a very happy boy” I was laughing so hard lol
Flying that exact seat on Thursday. Excited!
Thanks for sharing your flight experience yet again. The champagne looked absolutely delicious.
Great start to my birthday with a video of Trek Trendy :D I also forgot to subscribe after watching all your videos
Oh Stop it! I love Singapore and Singapore Airlines......... you lucky, lucky man! Great review, keep them coming!
Wait until July and do its first suite on the same route . They are getting their A380 back
Thoroughly enjoyed your review, I really feel like I’m on there watching you and one day I just may if I keep saving 😉 however you are hilarious drinking all that fab champers, eating first class food, then going through bad turbulence, I even felt sick watching you 😂 but it didn’t look like it affected you at all!! Cheers 🥂
Awesome review! Is the seat that much better than business? Doesn’t look like as much of a step up unlike their A380s. Thanks for the great content! Safe travels❤️
That note was so sweet
beautiful ... always loved singapore airlines....
Loved watching this
Chicken sate is quite known and very enjoyable in the Netherlands. Although I wish there was a few extra meat or pastry meals.
Freshly soy marinated and box grilled satays are to die for.
with a creamy, slightly spicy peanut sauce or just plain
That seat looks incredible!
Wonderful job as always Will ! I always love videos about fifth freedom routes😎👍🏻
awesome video. I am heading to Vegas in September, flying from Edinburgh, any suggestions as to who i should fly with and should i pay for business class?
Another great video. Really enjoyed. Here’s hoping travel truly opens up in 2022.
Simply love your videos. Must say this first class is about one of the best ones for me.. No hot towel?
Hey! I really like your videos. Fun fact, I used to work for Lufthansa previously and I actually purchased the automated coffee machines for them! Cheers
I’ve missed the content mate. Thanks for sharing!
Keep them coming! Awesome job.
How do you handle that kind of turbulence? I'm embarrassed to say I'm absolutely terrified of it after a bad bout over the Atlantic once, and it makes most flights more anxiety-inducing than enjoyable!
Get your doctor to prescribe an appropriate sedative, and remind yourself that turbulence is just potholes in the sky!
So jealous!! That’s absolutely amazing!!!
Maybe someday I’ll get to fly on SQ and have an amazing experience. For now unfortunately it will be American Airlines. Thanks for taking us along on your journey Mr. Trendy!❤️👍✈️
I have seen this area on Airlines the UK show. I am from the USA,but I love these shows from a round the world.
Interesting, don't have physical menus, but hand you a frequently used tablet - presume this is to cut printing costs and nothing to do with covid? Great report.. look forward to the next...
I thought it was an odd thing to do. Ah yes very valid point there! Anyway thanks for watching :)
Hi could you tell us how you pay for these flight, so flight you booked through miles but with Singapore, how do you do it?
Fantastic video of my favourite airline 😊😊👍👍
That looks like a delightful flight. For the next season I'd love to see more budget flight reviews. (within Japan for example)
I loved intro CELEBRATION TIME C’MON, KOOL AND THE GANG LOL
Very good review, i think it was way more extensive than alot of your others keep up the good work.
Pricy dom slammers - solid video, cheers my friend
I’m glad the Tims are back, not the same without them.
