I really appreciate your recent upload. I've watched all of your videos. However, arriving in NYC with your "Tims" might be a problem since the east coast right now is hot. Your videos are addictive and your sense of humor is contagious. I do have a question: With your frequent travels, have you learned any new languages, and if so which ones? Thank you for sharing your travel experience with us all.
At the risk of piling on the Pronunciation Bandwagon, I just wanted to advise that a macaron - as in the delicious looking dessert you enjoyed - is pronounced as in “don” or “on” - (mac - are - on) rather than like “moon” or “soon.” Admittedly, I’m charmed by your accent, so only mention this because a “macaroon” is a different sort of confection - one made from shredded coconut. 😉
Passengers are encouraged to keep their seatbelts fastened at all times but one can choose not to except during takeoff, turbulence and landing. However, if one has an accident because the plane hit turbulence and one didn’t buckle up, one can’t blame the airline since they did issue the safety briefing.
I always like to keep the seatbelt on (but I loosen it up in the air). In a rapid decompression everything can fly around or a heavy turbulence can push you against the overhead bins.
Huge thumbs up for actually going with the Japanese selection of food aboard this flight. I feel it would almost be a disservice to just order the western options!
I'm allergic to fish, seafood, and soy so I don't have a choise in the matter. Which sucks because I'd really want to try all the wonderful dishes Japanese cuisine offers.
@@drunkvegangal8089 We also have divers here in WA state. A local diver told me it can seem like war down there sometimes. The guards and security around the trailers that store the Geoduck are amazing.
Another great video, thanks. You're fast becoming one of my favorite channels on here even though it's unlikely I could ever afford any of your travel experiences. Your casual but very immersive style is very much the draw of your videos. Keep travelling!
Loved your video. My wife and I were lucky enough to fly ANA First Oct 2022 from LAX to NRT, just as Japan opened up fully from the pandemic. We were the only passengers in first. The crew were amazing. Regarding the food, we did both the Western and Japanese menus, the crew just seemed to want to spoil us. A bargain with Virgin points. Incredible experience.
Well, that was quite the flight! I think it’s nice to be able to sleep and wake up rested when you arrive! I can’t begin to imagine how economy passengers get through 15 hours sitting up! The food looked wonderful and a good choice for all the multiple sections of your meals!
As someone who've traveled to and from Japan multiple times (to Western Europe) I can just tell you, you get used to the overall 18 hour flights. I'm kidding, you never get used to it, it's tiring, especially when you try to sleep and the passenger infront of you decides to recline all the way onto you.

It's a tough job there Will....but thanks for all the hardship!! LOL Seriously I know it really is HARD to do what you do....and expensive...even with miles. So thanks for sharing some of the coolest seats in the sky!
Will, I really appreciate you showing the actual price for tickets like these. I hate seeing so many videos just saying "I booked with miles" every time.
I can not afford to fly internationally in first class and but I fly business almost all the time. The prices seem astronomical for what you get. The service is never the same no matter what airline you fly. I understand the staffing issues and the increased demand is not going to push them to provide better service or update cabins, maybe influencers like you and Sam Chui can lead an initiative to get these airlines to up their game.
Glad you tried the Hibiki. With a glass of ice that full, I (ever so discreetly) place the excess ice cubes on the floor saving one in the glass for the whisky.
Always love it when I see a new video posted by you Will. Love watching your trips and listening to the commentary. It makes me angry though to see how far your miles get you. The safety briefing saying "Please keep your seatbelt fastened at all times while seated" Will "Nah mate, it's coming off!"
If you are paying for first class, and it's not in the crucial taxi, takeoff, and landing parts of the trip, it's okay.
I was thinking that, too.
I've always understood seatbelts to be required only during take off, landing or turbulence. Otherwise you're free to unbuckle.
