I think I know why she does that. I think its because thats the exact way she wishes someone would have taught her. People like that realize that yelling, being short, being sarcastic or annoyed by the person learning is only going to put them off more.
Ashley is not only a badass bartender and mixologist but she clearly cares about her craft and has a real passion for it. She’s also not too tough and aggressive like some of Jon’s experts. She wants to be encouraging and pass on her knowledge to other people. I really appreciate that!

I don't drink, but I find mixology fascinating. It's like super fast paced chemistry combined with putting on a show while producing something consumable and being able to do that consistently over and over. It's amazing.

She’s so confident, but there’s more to her than just confidence. I wonder if she’s ever struggled with being more passionate or being better than other people? I’ve found some people don’t like to outshine others so it holds them back. But Ashley isn’t afraid to stand out. Add to that she seems to love teaching and understands what people need help with. That is such a skilled talent to have. Y’all should do a “most asked questions” segment with ppl from this show.
She very much has an earned confidence. Like you can tell she's confident because she's proven time and again that she's capable and knowledgeable about her craft. She doesn't over sell herself either so it doesn't feel like bluster with nothing to back it up.

Our bar recognises it, we're just run by a brewery which charges us premium prices and forces us to do price increase after price increase. We're on a council estate, and yet your prices are almost twice that of the next most expensive on this estate. Its the sad reality of being controlled by a company that doesn't only deals with numbers
Demographics. So important. Is your customer base affluent or not? Sophisticated or basic? Young college age or older settled and mature? Lots of research. Office executives with an office credit card or pink collar commuters who can just afford 1 drink? That all affects your choices of service and prices.
I love how her passion exploded from just being properly taught one cocktail. I think it's incredible Jon recognized it and made her part of his team. She is an incredible teacher. She meant what she said, she just needed the opportunity to be successful.
In addition to a natural bartender with great presence and a striking look, Ashley seems like a natural trainer. She can really impart her enthusiasm for the profession.

Mia, Lisamarie, and Jenny Costa (as well as others I’ve failed to mention) are rather fair to their trainees. Jenny Costa even offered to lend her aid to the bartenders in “Empty Pockets” during the stress test. Although to be fair, some of the employees have disrespected the mixologists as well in one form or another.
Ashley really improved in this she went from being one of the rescue bars to now working in the best EDM bar, she has found her passion and I'm so happy for her.
Ashley went from working with a incompetent boss who never admired or noticed her potential to the best boss who respects and loves her skill. Starting from the bottom to the top. She's awesome! She's what you need to be told that you don't treat your job like a casual thing or annoyance, but tackle it and dance with it. She's happy, enthusiastic, fun, EVERYTHING you want to see a person who is doing her job with both love and respect. Remember, it's not the job that's meaningless or boring, it's cause you don't think or have the imagination to make it fun.

Imagine if everyone found this excitement and interest over their job. How much every industry would change because people care about their customers and craft. As a mail carrier, my father is loved by his clients because he loves organization and people. Its these little transferable skills and likes that really make a person spark.
Honestly, seeing Ashley go from slumming it in her original bar, to busting her butt and getting to where she is now, I think everyone that watches BR is proud of her.
Tbh i think this is the most enthusiastic bartender i ever seen. I never knew people could have such a passion for bartending. Usually there just there make drinks and interact with the customers. But she enjoys BOTH parts. She enjoys making the drinks and interacting with customers.
Ashley is such as perfect complement to Jon's hard-nosed demeanor. She pulls them up from the top with her positive energy while Jon gets down in the mud and pushes their ass outta the mud with his no-nonsense grind.

This video pops up now and again on my feed. I absolutely adore this woman. I have none of her talent in mixology but admire her drive and passion in the craft. John granting Ashley this opportunity was such a benefit to bars on the program later on. She is a valuable asset and deserved the opportunity and recognition.

Imagine if everyone found this excitement and interest over their job. How much every industry would change because people care about their customers and craft. As a mail carrier, my father is loved by his clients because he loves organization and people. Its these little transferable skills and likes that really make a person spark.
Honestly, seeing Ashley go from slumming it in her original bar, to busting her butt and getting to where she is now, I think everyone that watches BR is proud of her.

Tbh i think this is the most enthusiastic bartender i ever seen. I never knew people could have such a passion for bartending. Usually there just there make drinks and interact with the customers. But she enjoys BOTH parts. She enjoys making the drinks and interacting with customers.

Ashley is such as perfect complement to Jon's hard-nosed demeanor. She pulls them up from the top with her positive energy while Jon gets down in the mud and pushes their ass outta the mud with his no-nonsense grind.
