Owner was wrong in the first one and not the bartender. Why is the bar set up so inefficiently? Why does she have to cook when she’s the bartender? Hire a cook. He only fired her because she called him out and his feelings got hurt.

Speaking as a former fry cook, you don't "take time at the end of your shift" to clean the fryers. It takes a couple hours or more for that oil to cool off to the point where it's safe to drain it and work on the inside. You wipe it down and then at the BEGINNING of your shift, when the fryers have been off all night THAT is when you drain and clean them. And it doesn't even have to be every day when they're kept up. One fryer a day, just rotating every day and using fresh oil and shortening. That's it. A little time consuming, but not that hard.
I can see how emotional Aaron was when he was talking to Adam.
Of course, you wanna help your family/help them survive. What else does one have aside from blood? He knows the fine line between being nice and nepotism. Most of us, myself included, have a problem with drawing that line

So, people talking about the girl at 5:27 deserving to get fired but that owner needs sued. Unless they are paying non-tipped minimum wage on top of tips they are illegally forcing her to work a position where she can't earn tips by making her cook. One of my jobs lost a huge lawsuit on this exact thing and almost closed after they had to pay out for all the hours they made employees work cooking etc. instead of serving customers. If the owner was paying non-tipped minimum wage, he could absolutely make them cook and I'd be on his side. Though, based on what was shown, he definitely wasn't and they should sue.
She had been making drinks wrong as well and had a horrible attitude she also literally stole everyone’s tips as she walked out. She definitely deserved to be fired.

@@MRDYNAMITEDAWG I don't know if even Jon would have supported the guy firing so many of his staff. Jon usually tells people to do a single landmark fire and everyone else will likely fall in line. Finding staff to replace (at least) three waitresses in a day or two is very difficult.

My parents run a family business that deals with food. I’m actually glad my mom would be so hard on me because it’s business and that’s how it’ll be when working at a restaurant or a fast food place sometimes. I currently work at a fast food place for 6 months now and I’m glad that all that work from the kitchen with my mom always telling me to speed up and move fast because it did pay off.
They blame Jon and point the finger at everyone around them, when they did this to themselves and can’t take responsibility for it. That right there should tell any owner it was a good decision to terminate these people
