      That’s an oddly comforting thought, I’ve never thought about it that way.
      The list of unsolved murder cases is slowly shrinking with new DNA evidence, which has been used to put killers who were prolific in the 70’s and 80’s behind bars. Hopefully, the only unsolved murder cases we’ll be left with in a few years time will be the ones that are almost 100 years old.

    The partial kidney sent to Mr Lusk with the 'From Hell' letter in the Jack the Ripper case was not confirmed as being from one of his victims. Catherine Eddowes was missing part of her kidney when she was found so the theory was that it was hers, but her injuries and mutilations were public knowledge and, given the proximity to these events of the London Royal Hospital on Whitechapel Road, the sending of the letter and kidney could just as easily have been the drastic prank of a mischievous medical student.

      I saw a show where they claimed that all of the letters supposedly sent by Jack the Ripper were all sent by a newspaper reporter who worked in London at the time as a ploy to sell more newspapers, although I can't remember his name. Someone involved with the show had the handwriting from the letters compared to samples of the reporter's handwriting that the newspaper company still had and they were a 99% match. They claimed he could have easily bought the piece of kidney from a mortician or med student.

    Something that fascinates me about these killers is what made them become the worst people they are now. There could have been a chance for them to have a good life but they gave up their humanity to feed their insanity. People who made them become like this are worse too. The only redemption for those people is to bring the killer to justice. Such a grim reality we live in.

    • @mszoomy
      @mszoomy 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There are many factors that make a person a serial killer. Most suffered some sort of trauma as children; physical, emotional, mental or any combination. Some people are more susceptible to those factors, people you might consider "simple" or slow. Sociopaths and phsychopaths. These people rarely adjust to the world we live in. That's your typical serial killer but to be a serial killer, you only need to have killed 3 people. I still think some people are just born bad. A person like that, might have a chance with a good upbringing but if not, it's like putting logs on the fire
