I'm with ya on the Allenstown barrel cases. Terry Rasmussen, and his crimes against women, and children still leave so many questions. We have at least two mothers (likely murdered) either not found, or not identified (Denise Beaudin, and mom of girl in barrel). Marlyses' 1 yr old daughter was found in a different barrel, and with a girl he fathered. That makes me wonder if he kept her youngest ( like he did Dawn aka Lisa) Sarah alive for awhile? ....Terry was an ugly drunk (violent), that didn't fair well with Thanksgiving with famiies, yet somehow still got the women, and held multiple identities, plus got away with untold murders.

About 40 years ago I read a science fiction story about a new technique that could extract memories from bones. It was told from the perspective of a man listening to an interview with a scientist on a TV talk show, excitedly explaining how with the new technology they were able to recapture the final moments of life from the remains of Civil War soldiers. The man, it turns out, had murdered his wife and now thanks to the new technology police were going to see him commit the murder by examining her remains. Very similar to the way DNA is leading the the identity of unknown victims of crime and criminals decades later.
You mean "the team" not "the guy" right? Scientific revelation are rarely ever discovered by just one person, and takes many years of many different researchers to crack the code.

As soon as I saw the picture of the barrel, I knew what the story was. Watched this story on TV while my fiancé and I were staying in a hotel. We got so invested in it as the pieces of the puzzle started to come together. One thing that upsets me is how he killed his own daughter and she will never be identified.
I'm from Roseburg Oregon. There is a story I heard of a young girl found dead near a local strip club a couple of years before I was born. Great job to all that wouldn't let this case rest until she could.
Federal databases weren't really that organized back than, no federal fingerprint database was until the advent and further usage of computers in the late 80s and mainly the 90s. There is an episode of Unsolved Mysteries of a case of a girl in the 80s who killed someone and was picked up on shoplifting in Los Angeles and they claimes the FBI sent back the fingerprints within 5 days but it was too late because they released her on the shoplifting charge. But thats complete bullshit, because the LA regional office wasnt going to process any, let alone all petty shoplifting charges in the entire LA county back then, let alone in 5 days, that would be tens of thousands. They didnt have the resources. So the true crime shows bullshitted to scare perps, but in hind sight its easy to see

I would love to see if dna could be linked to the boy in the box. The latest info on it was he was sold to his killer and the daughter of the killer helped her mother get rid of his body. It’s such a sad case that probably will never be solved.
So boy in box was sold to, "killer", and "killers daughter" helped her "Mother"? Get rid of his body? So a family murdered him? So if they know that the boy was sold to a killer are we assuming the Killer is a man? So the "morher" is the "killer's wife"? And the man had a wife and child/daughter? The killer and the wife and child/daughter get rid of the body together, so a family kills him? So if they know that there was a man who had a wife in the child and the wife got rid of the body who are these people? That's a lot of information. I mean it's not everyday that they say the killers wife and child get rid of a body and not know who the Killer is but no he had a who was wife is and who is daughter is? @@ayajade6683 Years later? Proof? Kinda sad that peoples gone missing for so long never had a family member or even a friend to report the missing !! Honest question here tho, is it Joe Rogan who's narrating the Lavender Doe case ?
I feel terrible for every single one of these people. Robert was only 20 years old, had been to Vietnam twice and was experiencing PTS so young. He went through so much in his young life. To end up “missing” from a VA hospital. Extremely sad. Very sad.
I trully can't understand how someone go to sleep every night knowing their son is missing. It doesn't matter if he was a "runaway", I would have looked for him everyday... If I didn't know where to report, I would ask people, put fliers, scream in the middle of the fucking street! For some reason this really pissed me off. The other cases are really bad, but Jason's case made me so sad. He was there the whole time, she just didn't care enough to look for him. It's clear for me why he was a runaway...
If you're a runaway and your family cares about you, they will look for you. My family never looked for me. I got beat down when I was 14 years old and had to be put in the hospital. It was that bad. A doctor treated me because it was the right thing to do, But they had no idea who I was. Everyday I was asked who I was, who my parents were and where I lived. Sometimes it was a cop, a doctor or even a pretty nurse. They would say you know Your parents are probably worried sick about you wondering where you are and I would start to cry but I knew they didn't give a shit even at the age of 14 or maybe even younger. One cop I remember told me I will find out who you are, your parents will be looking for you. After a couple weeks the swelling in my face was almost all gone but i was still very black and blue they would allow me to walk the floor and get some exercise by week three two Policemen tried again to find out who I was but I pretended I was out cold because of all the medicine they were giving me. I heard them saying to each other while they were standing out in the hallway they would be pressing charges on my family for abandonment., Later that evening while walking the floor I slipped out the door. After a couple days back on the streets I went back to where I lived I remember seeing the disappointment on their faces and my step dad saying well I see you been fighting again. I think that was the nicest thing he ever said to me. And my mom didn't say a lot even when she watched me get beaten by my step dad. It was definitely a very abusive childhood. A couple years ago I spoke with a girl that lived across the street from me and I made the comment that I didn't always do the right thing or didn't handle myself very well. I did smoke a lot of pot back then and she said David nobody in the neighborhood could blame you we all knew what went on in that house and what you had to put up with and I just started crying and I said why didn't anybody say anything ? And she said because back then it was a different time not like now where people will speak up. I admit It made me feel good for her to tell me that. I really want to delete this but I'm not. I'm not telling you this so you feel sorry for me. I don't want that. Just be aware of your surroundings and look for anything that isn't right and speak up. You may just save a kid's life.
While we can't know what was going through her head to avoid reporting her son missing - fear of police, ignorance of the process, questions about jurisdiction - what I CAN say is it would've helped immensely to report him. The missing persons report just adds that person to a nationwide database, so the question of where he lived, etc. doesn't matter, as long as he is still in the US. If she reports him in Louisiana, a cop in Texas would see him as a missing person upon running his name. Also, as we see here in this story, the missing persons database can be used as a reference point for identifying John/Jane Does. Its a simple, painless process to do a missing persons report, and it starts with your local police department/sheriff's office.
Corriveau's case is so tragic... it had to be heartbreaking as anything could be to try to clear someone they love from being labeled a deserter. I can only imagine, as my husband served three deployments (3 separate deployments during a 6 year period) in Iraq, that this young man had some serious issues caused by the violence he must have witnessed and/or participated in during his two tours in Vietnam. Vietnam destroyed the mental health of many once hopeful and balanced young men at that time. I hope his family, or those left, are at peace now and that his soul itself is resting in peace, as well.
Makes me mad that the police didn't really attempt to bother asking the military if they may have someone who was missing. The whole case sounds very botched and it's heartbreaking because they could have solved the case most likely by just going to the military and asking a yes or no question.
@@jenn3873 What goes around, comes around. If you murder someone, you pay the price in some way, whether the people around you know you did it or not. You have to live a lie, live with guilt, etc. For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction.

Alot of police won't do the report cus one he was a frequent run away so she probably thought he a out there somewhere and didn't want to communicate with her. 2 he was an adult so for police he wasn't a missing person he was an adult who left and wasn't missing just gone from his mom like he did alot and now is a adult . She probably figured he didn't want nothing to do with her and just left it alone I mean like most ppl think when someone dies someone within the family would be notified and since she wasn't why would she think he is dead and not just somewhere living life .

@@treefrog0826 Wow. This is the most touching story I have ever heard.
This breaks my heart! I respect the individuals who dont give up & dedicate themselves to solving the case/ giving family peace of mind.

They were probably worried they’d be violating HIPAA
Of a dead man?
It breaks my heart when there are people found and there's national and even international efforts to identify them but have no family or loved ones to ever identify them. 💔
So happy these people were identified no matter how long it took.
Thank God for giving people the mind and diligence to do forensic work.
I literally grew up in Chester County a few miles from Longwood and where Bulldog John Doe was found and had never heard this story before now. And he was found two days after my birthday as well.
I'm so glad someone did a slight segment of the bear brook murder, it happened closely to where i live and scared me and i have not been to that park since. ive been wanting to research it but i haven't had the time.
So sad for these victims. New sub I’ve here, enjoying your videos x
Thanks. Much appreciated.
What kind of mother doesn't report his son missing after decades of not knowing anything about him?
Alot of police won't do the report cus one he was a frequent run away so she probably thought he a out there somewhere and didn't want to communicate with her. 2 he was an adult so for police he wasn't a missing person he was an adult who left and wasn't missing just gone from his mom like he did alot and now is a adult . She probably figured he didn't want nothing to do with her and just left it alone I mean like most ppl think when someone dies someone within the family would be notified and since she wasn't why would she think he is dead and not just somewhere living life .
I've been around Allenstown for most of my older life, the fact that something remotely interesting happened there is quite fascinating
Thank you for your latest video. While the number one on this list is technically not completely solved (as in the “middle child” is not named even though we know she is connected to suspect) I remember hearing about this case. It is my hope that with more research the case can be truly solved. Genealogy has done wonders for cases. Again thank you for this video.
As always, we're glad you liked it, it was super interesting to read up on all of these cases. You are definitely correct, the Allenstown case is not fully solved, and it may never be, given the fact that Rasmussen is dead. It would be great if the middle child could be identified though!
@@TheCrimeZone They know who some of the middle child's 5th-ish great grandparents are. So they know generally which family and which area they're working with. Only problem is, that couple had a lot of descendants, and if there are NPEs in the mix (adoptions, affairs etc) it's going to be very hard to identify her.
Thanks for sharing, and the remarkable work that you all do!! Ms. G.
This is so sad, I feel bad for all those beautiful souls 💔
It’s so sad knowing how most of these cases, decades after the murder and they’re finally identified that the murderer likely will never be found. The killer themselves could have died by now, and the evidence is so far lost to time.
The Barrel Murders-all are 💔but the little girls losing their lives just tragic
I would like to see the boy in the box case solved, I think it happened in the 40s or 50s?, But that little boy never did get an identity.☹️
I just found out that you’re Canadian’s as well!!! That makes your guys’ channel a million times more better!!! I’m on west coast (Vancouver) but I support anything that comes out of our beautiful glorious country! 🇨🇦♥️🇨🇦♥️🇨🇦♥️🇨🇦
#4 - The Navy also removed the Corporal's deserter status, allowing him to be re-buried with full military honors after his sister got a court order allowing him to be exhumed and moved. He has a headstone that reflects his service and decorations.
That thumbnail is fkn terrifying 😱😱😱 I did not need to scroll past that right before bed 🤦🏾♀️🤦🏾♀️🤦🏾♀️
DNA Match but they let him go because he said he only picked up the woman for sex duhhhhhh
Just sad, heartbreaking for those families, darkest days for those families.
When someone like Gabby Petito gets the entire world freaking out and obsessing over her, yet someone like the Lavendar Jane Doe, the same age, just as beautiful, goes missing and no one even raises an eyebrow... makes me very sad. The same thing is happening now, Gabby deserves to have the world looking closely at her case, but you just know there are 10x as many missing girls right now, and they all deserve the same level of interest and concern, but will sadly never get it.
Anyone else thinking that the mother of Rasmussen's daughter was also killed by him? That her body just hasn't been found?
