Best way to get off the mtn dew is to simply leave without it ! Its a sht product and when you havent had 1 for 2 months you wont be able to drink one for all the shit in it. You dont have to eat "healthy" but ditching that shit is a great start. Remember to LOG EVERY DIVE and get signatures. There is a padi solo diver cert. That requires 100 logged signed dives. Though i have learned solo diving isnt as fun as youd guess cuz theres nobody to share it with when its over. Tho i do still drysuit solo. Drinking and sailing dont mix. First you think youre just gonna get a buzz then your tearing up your shit or worse someone elses. Finally. Lost my mom in 2021. Much love bro. Fair winds.

“I have no warrants out.” Bahahaha. You’re killing me smalls I was an instructor for Armor officers years back. There’s a public speaking trick I learned that may help you. Your video has an agenda and there are a several points you want to make or the outcome of your video. Make an outline with a beginning, middle, and ending. Make bullet points about what you’re trying to convey, doesn’t need to be word for word. If you stick to something basic like this your message will be easy to understand. I think you have some potential bro. Hopefully I’m not coming off like an asshat, just wanna help. Cheers bro
A couple years ago I stayed in an anchorage right off Punta Gorda, near Port Charlotte, it was free and has public bathrooms with showers right next to the dingy dock. The ride was less than a 1/4 mile.@@OffgridOceanLife
Switch to dyneema rigging with dead eyes stainless rigging cavitates and needs replacement every 5k nautical miles 22500 around the world seriously look up how to videos give me a year and I will hopefully be ready to set sail in my new boat

Ok, be careful my friend, the ocean is no game, always safety first. I strongly recommend you do a course and get you license. In some countries they might ask for it. It is easy and you¨ll feel much more confident.. Good luck bro !@@OffgridOceanLife
5:35 I meet one captain once, that told me, in one Boat, you always pee sitting down, no matter if you are a guy or woman,... take this tip to you also! Lol..
Haha yea I’ve heard that on a couple comments, I probly should. Beats cleaning the bathroom lol
Good looking boat. What's the crew plan?
Thanks man:) it’s just me out here lol I’ll probly have friends and stuff on here and there or I’m not against new people that want to see what the life’s like either
please find a locatior beacon for emergencies so you will be found by satellites if you are swept overboard..
I’ve got a gps tracker for the boat but definitely should get an epirb or something for me to
Loving the videos man. I’m also just getting into sailing myself with a Catalina 22. You mentioned getting swept by current and it happened to me while trying to go after my daughter off our boat. Luckily I was picked up by a friendly sailor on a dinghy but not before I yelled HELP! like a bitc* 😂.
Great lesson learned. Word of advice tie the outboard key to your wrist 👍🏽⛵️
Awee man yea that scares the crap outta me.Are you trying to liveaboard one day or just dipping your toes into sailing?
@@OffgridOceanLife I’m out of Ft.Lauderdale so I do little overnights around here but I’m going to venture out to the west coast and keys. I’ll add you on the socials. If you’re ever this way I’ll give you a hand or a ride 👍🏽
@@Gab3A cool, yea I’ll be going back down to the keys around march i think
Sad when a guy calls himself that name (like a woman) anytime he shows the need for help. Thats lame. I've never hear a woman complain like that yet tons of guys seem to fund a need to mention sounding like a girl. Don't be like that.
@@prototypeq13lol, you know what you are being right now, right?
Ya gotta dew the dew lol
Lmfao I read that comment before i saw the name and I instantly knew it was you haha yea man they taste so good out here when it’s all hot and the saltyness
Do you have to pay to use the dock with your dingy?
what kind of keel? do you have a protected rudder?
It’s a fin keel with the skeg protecting the prop and rudder, actually just had the boot of the skeg break and the rudder was Jst being supported by the steering system
Finally! 😂
lol :)
does it cost anything to dock your dingy at the marina?
Yea usually like 5-15 dollars, but u can lock it up at public parks and boat ramps to usually for free
if you reach the netherlands ( head inland) i'll welcome you and cook you a meal on my 30foot 50year old seadog💪
Haha thanks, I might take you up on that one day in the far future lol
@@OffgridOceanLife well, i mean it!
Fair winds.
Jst got Off the mtn dew :)
Lol. Grats. They say its harder to quit than dope ..... or wait maybe thats cigarettes.
Any ways, I got a gopro and a gopro gimble/charger combo you can have. Used em both in se asia few months and haven't used em since. Po box and I'd ship em off.
@@kevingumfory love the generosity man but I’ve got a GoPro, I Jst need to put it to use lol
Hey, I am considering a Bristol 29.9. How does it sail singlehanded? What don't you like about it?
Honestly it’s the only boat I’ve sailed lmao so it’s hard to compare it to anything but I absolutely love it and like everything about it.from what I hear what doesn’t get stronger built which is what I like, not the fastest out there thougj
How much was the boat if you don’t mind me asking? Very interested in doing the same!
25k. 30k after the self sufficiency upgrades. Hope ya do it, best thing I’ve ever done
Amazing thank you! Very inspiring:) will start saving!!
Is this an S2 9.2?? I just got the same boat!!
Naa this is a Bristol 29.9
“I have no warrants out.” Bahahaha. You’re killing me smalls
I was an instructor for Armor officers years back. Cheers bro
Naa man that’s what I need is some feedback, I appreciate it.i think I get what your saying I’m gonna have to practice on it
Thats a very long dingy ride.
Ehh I think it was like a mile and a half wasn’t tooo bad
A couple years ago I stayed in an anchorage right off Punta Gorda, near Port Charlotte, it was free and has public bathrooms with showers right next to the dingy dock. The ride was less than a 1/4 mile.@@OffgridOceanLife
I might have been there for a couple weeks, was it next to the bridge?
Sure was.@@OffgridOceanLife
Switch to dyneema rigging with dead eyes stainless rigging cavitates and needs replacement every 5k nautical miles 22500 around the world seriously look up how to videos give me a year and I will hopefully be ready to set sail in my new boat
Nice, yea thanks I didn’t know you had to replace that soon. I’m on a bit of a budget or I’d replace a lot of stuff but I’ll get on it soon
Yeah it’s every 10 years or 5k so I would just make sure you get it done before you leave the coast do you have tow boat yearly plan? You need it captain and I understand budget I am thinking I might splash my boat masts on deck in a year but she will have all new exterior paint well wet and bottom anyway in Texas
@@captainjollyrogersailingso6809 nice. Yea I just painted my hatches and helm on the episode comming out tomorrow
O-H
I-O
Dont forget to get a windvane. Or youre going no where far. Other than tbat the worlds waiting
Yea ive got a lil autopilot but that’s about it
@@OffgridOceanLife Look for a used windvane. Those little autopilits wont get you far. First few days of constant use at sea they will fail. But windvanes take you all the way. I have a 47 year old aires. Theres lots of choices. To best fit any budget.monitors are good. Forget the hydro vanes there great but 10k get used aires for 1k or a new monitor for under 4k
We know why you call her Mary Jane.😉
Lmao I dunno what your talking about ;)
Oops. The Bristol is very similar to the Alberg 30 as far as what I mentioned in the first comment.
Yea they’re pretty close
Where you get money? aint none of that free! Trust baby?
Saved 50 grand, it got me a couple years of sailing but yea I did Jst run out that’s why I haven’t made a video in awhile, Jst trying to build it back up
