I think with me is my parents always talk down on me so I carry these thoughts with me everywhere else.I even have flashbacks of me doing embarrassing things and i don't want to repeat that.

I've really been feeling like absolute shit today, in my head, anxiety, etc. This guy is inspirational and his videos always help me to realign my thoughts. I've watched through almost all of the videos, but I think I need to make another run through to help ingrain this stuff in my brain. I need to read the book again too. I watch how many people Dr. Aziz helps and it inspires me to want to do the same thing because I can't imagine a greater feeling than changing people's lives for the better. Keep it up Aziz!

Hi Dr Aziz. I'm struggling a lot with inferior complexity because of trauma from past mistakes that has ruined and breached severals people's trust in both professional and personal life. I dont feel confident because even when I have written detailed plans down to the last character, it just messes up and I don't feel confident because I only have a wealth of things I cannot and shouldn't do, and only know that I will fail again and again and again, and because of this I have been in and out of jobs for 10 years. I'm considering buying your book, after failing at a task from work earlier on and have come to check out this video during my lunch break.
    Thank you sir.

  • @blacksheep9772

Very well explained. Ive seen a few 'how not to care what others think' videos recently and have found there wasnt a whole lot of substance to their point of view (eg: just stop caring .... ?!) Realising that I was projecting my thoughts about myself onto them was stressing me out more because once I made it THEIR FAULT they thought this or that about me, well I know I dont have power over others thougths so I also felt powerless over othrrs thinking I am stupid or whatever. But now I see where I went down the rabit hole, but had made a wrong turn at assuming what I was thinking about me was what "they" were thinking about me. This video helped me quite a bit. My first time seeing your videos xo Im going to check out the rest. Thankyou so much 🌷🌷🌷

If One feels discouraged to speak front of group of people (meeting, conferences, classes, etc) then they should try to stop worrying about others and start thinking that if you keep your point in front of them they might not like it but you want to however it will make you feel free.. just once forget that anyone is in the room. Speak.. express ..feel free avoid what people think.

Aziz I read a comment that loving yourself is the answer and I always hear that but how does one do that? I feel like absolute shit all the time.....too fat, too weird, too quiet, too queer, too nerdy, too scared to talk to people, not knowing what to say to people, choosing comfort of my home and then feeling like shit that I''m a coward or shit that I'm too much of a coward to do something about.

One thing i want to add is.. Remember the last time you were caught in that scenario, think of the last person that embarrased themselves like you did. When you think about that you probably cant think of one person who possibly embarrased themselves and then think about everyone else. They probably already forgot because they are already too busy worrying about their own life to be fixed on your mistake. It's just so unrealistic

I'm going to have to disagree with you toto. You'd be surprised to learn of the anxieties and fear that lurk behind the mask of "pretty" people, men and women alike. The observation that "pretty women" or handsome men "have it so good and never suffer from the things I do" is a false story we tell ourselves. I can tell you this is true from personal experience with scores of patients and clients I've seen over the years.
The truth is you're not alone. Social anxiety is a human thing and knows no bounds due to looks, money, success, or any other external factor.

Personally its not too much the rejections or what other peole think...(of course it is ..but im talking about my biggst obstacle very clear now) but micromanaging what to say based on their facial expressions and this happens autimatically. On the phone i can speak very fluently and relaxed (business, social friends, girlfriends, anyone) On person i cant focus on what i want so much cause i am influenced by other peoples facial expressions and its really very painful. I can do some "tricks" like apprpoaching a person immediatelly, or saying an affirmative loop inside my head all the time so i dont focus on their reactins so much, but as you can understand its very difficult to do it all the time , and quite painful to interact with people. (On the pther way on the phone im by far very very confident and i enjoy it also..) How can i proceed with the who cares what other peole thing iabout their facial expressions?

Mihir Dwivedi Great question. Sometimes this happens (not just in our heads). Someone criticizes us, compares us to someone else, or tells us we're falling short.
It's worth being curious about what the feedback actually is. IS there some truth to it? Am I slacking off or not putting in much effort? Take a step back and look. It's not personal.
Then, also give yourself permission to reject the feedback. It might not be true. It might have NOTHING to do with you. In which case, challenge it in your mind. Don't take it in. It's ok to reject feedback : )

It's all in the numbers. Don't give up, keep moving forward and getting those "no's." That's what can lead to yes!

...would you shout across an open plan office to tell a woman how beautiful her recent hair style is, and face the characterisation of the crazy dude that acts unpredictably and in ways not socially acceptable (and have the nasties of the office scene use it against you in gossip and office politics), or would you wait months for the opportunity when the two of you happen to cross each other ?

I really appreciate your videos, as they have been so helpful to me but why do you always direct them to men? there are PLENTY of women having extreme struggles standing up for themselves and finding the confidence to get out of abusive relationships of all kinds or even just to get higher in a career. societal expectations usually push women to be quiet and submissive, so your videos could seriously be a life saver to some of them. plus, why would you want to drive off any potential subscribers?

i'm assuming because he is a male who used to suffer with the issues he discusses, therefor making it easier to talk about

    • @GetMoreConfidence

      True, that's how it started,

    • @GetMoreConfidence
      @GetMoreConfidence  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

Mainly because as a man I suffered with all these issues and I made it my mission in life to help other men overcome these same challenges. However, things have changed over the last couple of years I'm now able to help men and women equally!
