I feel like some Pokémon should only be possible to catch at very low health (like 5% or lower) with a Master Ball. Arceus should probably fit that bill.
Edit: Or, considering several legendaries can communicate with humans, make it so that catch rate changes based on a conversation you have with them, SMT/Persona style
But then you’d have to waste your master ball on them, and if there were multiple Pokémon like that you’d only be able to get one of them
You shouldn’t even be able to capture god, it should be like with calyrex where you prove your worth and he allows you to capture him for as long as he wants to be with you

@@sixzero2733 My headcanon is that this is how all legendaries always act. You don't catch them, they allow you to catch them, and they are powerful enough to break free if they ever get bored of you.
Second phase is GODLY. You depicted such a great way to add a choir to the already terrifying theme. I also love the nods to gen 7 with the almost spacey vibe to it. Knowing Arceus while the creator is not from this world.

I'm convinced that if the player character Diamond/Dawn finding and fighting Arceus is canon, then they are EASILY stronger than Red. Even without the Arceus fight, they still defeat Cyrus, Giratina, and Cynthia, some of the strongest evil leaders/pokemon/champions in all of Pokemon.

This cover is terrifying in the best way possible. Truly befitting of an all powerful deity such as Arceus. I especially love the rendition of Spear Pillar’s theme near the end. All the hype was well worth this amazing payoff, Zame!

*Imagine this: Arceus with an ability that combines Protein and Color Change.*
*So basically:* Every time Arceus uses a move, it becomes that type. But BEFORE Arceus is hit with a move, it becomes the type that resists it.
*For example:* You use Flamethrower, and Arceus will become a water-type so it wouldn't be very effective.
You use Hyper Beam, and Arceus immediately transforms into a ghost-type.
Oh. And it has *Recover.* Fun fun.
Also it doesn't run out of PP. *FUNFUN!* :D
EDIT: Oh, and the Master Ball will break if you use it against it. YAY!

Even just an ability that turns the user into a type that always resists if possible would be crazy, let alone the first part of Protean or whatever. Like, Ghost, Normal, Dragon, Poison, Ground, and Electric would all be useless against such a Pokémon.
But honestly, I love the concept. Such a battle would be better (imo) in a real time style as opposed to turn based, which is what I want to see a Pokémon game attempt (aside from Poké Park). I want a Pokémon game that has little to no focus on catching/obtaining Pokémon and is instead about exploration, but in a world and especially combat system that feels more akin to like Xenoblade or BotW.
imagine getting Arceus all the way down to 1 HP and getting a text that says "You are worthy...."

Hey that Phase 2 is actually really nice! I’ve wanted a different theme for Arceus for a while. I think he ought to have a theme that conveys “the danger of the judgement of a creator” and one that’s more like “Now! Prove your worth! Arceus will join you if you show the strength of your bonds!”
The first would only play if you failed to complete certain story elements and Arceus would be literally uncatchable, even with a Master Ball. The second would play after a sort of Delta Episode type post game, and would sound not angry but more like the major chords of Dialga and Palkia and the Lake Trio, with the sort of upbeat energy of the Galarian Bird theme or Ultra Necrozma. These two themes you made here would fit that former scenario. I just think Arceus deserves a battle theme that makes you feel alive and invigorated, happy even, and not just “you’ll be destroyed”. Again, circumstances and story would matter a lot though.
Game Freak better not mess up mythical events.... because there is so much potential in a remake to make a truly great pokemon game

Honestly, they should've made Arceus the one pokemon you can never catch. That would've solidified his god status and made him highly revered by the fandom.

Somehow, you've found yourself at the top of the Spear Pillar again, despite going the path you know leads to the bottom. Something is keeping you up here. While looking through your bag for a potion, you notice an old flute that you've carried with you as long as you can remember. It's glowing, very slightly. You pick it up, feeling compelled to play it. The notes that come out feel sour, and wrong, yet ethereal at the same time, somehow. Feeling satisfied, you put it away in your bag and begin down the path you'd just attempted to take, but notice something... off. The bricks in the wall seemed to curve suddenly, now leading to a faintly lit staircase that you know wasn't there before. Going up the staircase feels harder and harder with every step, as if something is trying to hold you back, or is it pushing you forward? You can't really tell. Reaching the top takes you to an area you've never seen before, a large platform that looks to be made of glass, but upon further inspection, you're not quite sure what it is. The Pokéballs on your belt begin shaking, and you can tell your Pokémon don't like being... wherever it is that you are. Suddenly, you notice it. A large, looming shadow stretching towards you, coming from seemingly all directions. Your Empoleon is forced out of its ball, and despite you never seeing it back down from a threat, it's cowering behind you. The shadow finally takes a shape, one you recognize from old books you read in school. "It couldn't be," You think. "Nobody has seen that pokémon in centuries..." A bright flash of light confirms the fears in the back of your mind... Arceus, the creator of the universe, was standing in front of you. You stand, terrified, but unmoving, trying to show the least bit of courage you could. Your Empoleon, seeing you stand firm, tries its best as well. A sound that could only be described as ethereal comes from Arceus, and huge ball of light comes flying in your direction. Empoleon stands firm between you and the titan, glancing back at you with eyes that tell you it's ready to fight. Without saying anything, it turns back, and fires an immense stream of water from its beak, breaking through the ball of light and hitting Arceus. The area around you distorts, warping and twisting, and you know there's no turning back now...

A battle vs "trainer" Arceus is something i'd kill to have, especially if it puts itself as the last pokémon with some special form (maybe Mega or something) after a whole legendary team.
I would love if arceus was an actual boss fight instead of a Pokémon you could just catch in one go with a master ball until you beat both forms

Fighting Arceus if done right, definitely would be the greatest legendary battle in Pokemon games history. The mystery allure that surrounds him is something no pokemon has. He's the creator of Pokemon, and he's barely ever shown in any pokemon game besides DPPT.
There would be a missed opportunity if they didn’t revolve the Diamond and Pearl remake postgame around Giratina and Arceus with Arceus having a new Origin Form so powerful that he could reset the entire universe/send you back to the title screen where only he appears

Man, Arceus is such an incredible concept, but because it's Nintendo and Game Freak we're talking about here, there's no way in heaven or hell (pun intended) that Arceus will ever showcase true horrific proportions equal to a God.

You haven't seen this one before... Your pokedex bleeps at you registering a new pokemon: "Arceus Discovered." it says but it seems like it's screaming because of the silence. The pokedex starts lagging and saying strange stuff. You cant make it out but you can hear: This.. Poke.. God.. Egg..Emerge..World..create..God.. As it finishes bugging out it crashes, you out it away and ready your first pokeball as you approach this pokemon. The pokemon screams at you and challenges you to battle. You spend hours fighting it until it seems tired.. "Human, you have earnt my trust.. You are worthy." It said. As it glows red, and turns into a humanoid form! And it Dynamaxed! You continue to fight....
You're pokemon.. Somethings up.. They won't fight. They must be scared. Until your pokemon looks at you and screams at you! Are they against you!? You rumage through your bag, masterball... Perfect. Ou throw the master ball at it...*

Imagine if Arceus is really that big and really that powerful then the Original One must be atleast twice as powerful because Arceus is just it's Mortal Vessel, so while Arceus is a Dimension Breaker, the Original One is the type that would be able to kill of all of existence at once, seeing Arceus is THAT big really puts the fear of God into Pokemon Trainers who manage to get a mere GLIMPSE of Arceus' power.

I prefer the stock Original gen4 theme.
It was so 'Pure', so cold; yet had this simplistic, minimalist Greatness to it that just cannot be bested. Imo, some Masterpieces are best left unotuched.

Everyone gonna be the very best that no one ever was until the Master Ball they threw at God gets vaporized and finally reveals his true ultra instinct form and gets his base stats multiplied by three.
I love that every theme related to Arceus isn't divine, awe inspiring and soothing like it could have been since, you know, the god of creation and all. But instead they're eerie, stressful and even scary to a degree, because he is the god of everything, and could destroy everything on a whim. Even a fraction of his power is enough to completely and utterly destroy humanity.
I really hope Legends Arceus has a climactic final boss battle against Arceus where he uses the plates to change his type so whenever you hit him with a move it switches typing to be good against whatever your using, forcing you to switch your team constantly while being attacked, then when he's run out of health he brings out all the plates and becomes omni type where he's immortal and you'd have to use some in game gimmick to weaken/defeat him.

It's weird, because a lot of legendary themes before gen 4 and also after are serious bangers and hype up the encounters, but.. Gen 4's legendary themes are always like, grand boss themes or they're loud and frightening. I love this approach to the themes in Gen 4, and it's sad that they haven't really recreated that feeling when fighting new legends since.

I love the battle theme don't me wrong. But as a greek myself, I cringed a bit after seeing the phrase on the 2nd part of the fight. You should have just wrote it in greek if you really wanted that extra touch of mysticality ( in my opinion of course ).

I can feel the Bamboozle when you hit an unexpected phase 2 and skypillar theme start playing with +178% angery

I feel like the final battle with Arceus should be at least three phases long, each new form more powerful than the last. By that logic, this song would be complete with one more part to the remix.
However, this theme is truly befitting of the Pokémon God! The end is here and He comes to deliver Judgment drawing power from the cosmos themselves! Standing against an almighty being is futile but it’s what we humans do best.
If Arceus were a boss battle, I’d imagine we’d need to gather all the type plates, the Adamant, Lustrous, and Griseous Orbs, solve some puzzles hidden on Mount Coronet and in the Sinjoh Ruins, catch one of every Unown, and acquire the Azure Flute from an old woman in Solaceon Town after defeating the champion. Finally, Arceus would be waiting at the summit, preparing to test your strength.

I'm scared for the gen 4 remakes. I hope they don't turn out to be as much of a cash grab as sword and shield, but a pokemon game that could genuinely pass as a work of art among gaming hand crafted by passionate devs that care about the source material and not rushed through production by executives. Bringing back true events for mythical pokemon like darkrai and arceus while making them a genuine puzzle that doesn't hold your hand the whole time would be a dream come true for a post game.
Dude arceus is the 1st being to be born doesn't mean HE himself has the godly power , the Godly power belongs to his 1000 hands a.k.a unown.

This would've been perfect for his legends Arceus theme especially with these phases. The one we got is cool but this is far more epic.

Just picture this: It is a cold afternoon (morning on the Americas) on February 26th, and just yesterday Game Freak and TPCi announced a Pokémon Direct scheduled for today. It's less than a minute away, and you stare at the premiere countdown as you dare to take the last rundown on your head of all you wished was announced today. On the top of that theoretical list lies the Diamond and Pearl remakes. Just as you finish, and pray to Arceus for your wishes to materialize, the countdown ends and the screen turns black. Everything is in silence. Not even Mr. Ishihara shows up to welcome you to the event, as you've grown acostumed to. You begin to wonder if maybe your internet connection's off when this starts playing.
