The beginning of his theme sounds a little like Arceus, the god of Pokémon. This really shows what he thinks he is.

Omg you're right! I always noticed the similarities between the two songs, but never quite put two and two together like that!
The biblical quote regarding death the final horseman of Apocalypse was fitting too considering it is the last seal that God breaks before bringing about the end times, similar to Ghetsis’ plans to end Unova by freezing it over with Kyurem, a Pokémon known for being pale or gray in appearance. Notably in its Pokédex entry, kyurem is also described as the boundary Pokémon, which could be thought of as the boundary between heaven and earth, the last seal before Ghetsis, playing as God, tears down that boundary.
He has to be the cruelest Pokémon villian to this date.

@kaii Nah Cyrus may have tried to murder literally all of existence but that was with cold indifference. Ghetsis tried to murder you the player and took glee in doing so, manipulated a child for his own agenda and had his main Pokemon on the lowest value of happiness (as shown by how strong frustration was) which shows to me that Ghetsis is by far the crueller of the two

@@lordtt3984 Truly the worst. At least Cyrus cared for his pokemon, in his own bizarre Cyrus like ways (evident by the fact that he has a Crobat). Ghetsis' pokemon probably either hate him or fear him.
And thus we behold: a man more soulless than Cyrus, more ambitious than Lysandre, more determined than both Archie and Maxie and, above all, far more cruel than Giovanni. The worst of mankind incarnate. A man with no honour- when defeated, he turns to violence and threatens to kill Lillie. Truly, the epitome of evil.

Honestly one of the best themes Pokemon has ever given us, in my opinion.
This man is the embodiment of a fully-fledged sociopath; a truly evil and selfish man masquerading behind a charismatic and "caring" persona.
This is a man who very cleverly plotted out an entire scheme to make him the ruler of the world, meticulously molding his "hero" from birth to the present, to convince everyone to release their Pokemon so he could waltz in as the new head honcho without contest.
But his plans were ruined by Hilbert/Hilda being recognized as the other "hero," and with Ghetsis' own plans falling apart before his eyes, his true character comes out as he tries to brute force his way into getting what he wants... what he and he alone desires... to essentially be the God of a new world. His world.
Years of lies and mental conditioning thwarted by a few moments of honest philosophical debate and truth. Sounds about right.
I prefer the N's final battle theme, but I like the drums of this theme.
It's writing like this that makes me wish all the other regions shared a similar dark underlying theme, instead of happy-go-lucky "all's right with the world in the end" story arcs.
I know some people don’t like how this twist killed the message of the original black and white games but I don’t care, this guys plan is interesting enough to make up for that

The hydreigon line, a tragic species with two souls fighting for dominance over the body upon the final stage of evolution. From its conception, its doomed to the pain of fighting with itself for total control. Still retaining its viscous nature upon evolution, few are willing to take on the task of raising an adult hydreigon. It can never know true friendship through the bond with a trainer because of this. As such It was on one fateful day when a young Ghetsis was mauled by such a feral creature that he realized the world is unforgiving and only something that cruel can survive in it. He would eventually grow to tame that same species of monster that tortured him in his youth and assert his complete authority over it. If one were to ever unlock the full potential of a hydreigon through for example mega-evolution, it wouldn't be through a close bond with a trainer, but with an acceptance of the mutual distain and hatred for each other formed through their own painful lives and understanding of the world.
Holy crap, this would work so well for Ghetsis’s backstory!

You made this theme sound far more demonic than the original, and it fits Ghetsis so much... since he's meant to be a demon in the Pokemon world and largely inspired by the freemason's deity Baphomet.
You nailed this remaster! And if Kira's laugh fits so much too, it's also not a coincidence: this is the theme of a guy who, I quote, said: "I'm absolutely perfect! I AM PERFECTION! I am the perfect ruler of a perfect new world!"

It took me at least a week to beat Ghetsis on my first ever playthrough
Is it just me or was N the easiest battle it couldve been and then ghetsis was a nightmare
More than that. If you look closely at their team compositions, you realize that Ghetsis's team was built to be able to curbstomp N's team.
The man was always ready to dispose of N at any time.

Hydreigon alone can beat N's Whole team due to it's moveset
Seismitoad can beat the legendary dragons due to it's Water/Ground type and it has rain dance and the ability Swift swim to double it's speed.
Bouffalant due to is normal typing can deal netural damage to almost any elite four member and wear them down at least.
Bisharp can beat the Ghost Psychic and Dark type members
Cofagrigus can beat the Fighting and Psychic Type members.
And Eelektross has No Weakness At all.
Due to all that and and how high their levels were he was ready to take on the Entire Pokemon League and N as well.
This is really intimidating and fits Ghestis superbly,I really love the laugh at the beginning of this remix and the orchestration is almost cinematical really impressed Zame

I would love to hear a reprise with the song slowly becoming more chaotic and more off beat as ghetsis loses his goddamn sanity
The quote before the remix fits Ghetsis perfectly it’s terrifying. It’s like this myth predicted his atrocities. Killing ‘with the beasts of the earth?’ Just like his plans in the Unova games.
Let’s just hope the pale horse bit never happens. Last thing we need is him gaining control of another Legendary Pokémon.

I might be late to this video but I’m just in awe. This remix is perfect. Ghetsis is what I call Pokémon’s truest villain and this remix does a phenomenal job at portraying it. I especially loved the laughing that was added at the beginning. I kept rewinding the video over and over just to listen to that part alone, god this remix is so masterful.

I knew you would eventually touch my favourite piece of music form all of pokemon games. I was worried your style wouldn't match the vibe, that Ghetsis' theme has. However you proved me wrong! You absolutely nailed it! The drop... Oh the drop! Finally the best part got some love it deserved.
This art work screams a final boss of a serious jrpg where the villain has attained god hood and is moments away from casting the world into oblivion. Only the true heroes are able to stop him in these final moments. Is that what this is? No. It's just a bad guy from a pokemon game. One of my favorites I might add.

The Gen 5 games always gave me mega Naruto vibes; with Ghetsis being the Madara equivalent, N - Obito, the Shadow Triad - Akatsuki, and the legends the bijuu. I fully expected someone behind Ghetsis trying to restore the original dragon for his own ends.

I'm using a new pair of earphones (birthday present) and I just noticed the menacing/mad/evil laugh from 0:15 to around 0:30 -- that is so creepy, and SO totally appropriate for this dude!

Ghetis is both designed and behaves like a true JRPG antagonist. Pokemon hasn't had that really be a thing other than for the mystery dungeon games. I can see this being his first face theme in like a persona game. Fantastic!

I can’t seem to get this out of my head when thinking of Ghetsis, but it’s a comparison that makes a lot of sense in some aspects.
Ghetsis reminds me of Emperor Palpatine of Star Wars, with N being Anakin and the BW protagonist being Luke/Leia.
Ghetsis is the antithesis of everything in his world. More soulless than Cyrus, more driven to achieve his objectives than Maxie and Archie, more ambitious in his scale than Lysandre, but most importantly far more malevolent than Giovanni. He masquerades around as a benevolent leader behind a mask of a concerned and determined man hell bent on working for the good of the people.
Sounds a lot like Palpatine.
He manipulated a small boy from a young age to match his ideals and become his puppet figurehead for the population to follow. He twisted his mind and did this purely for his own gain, without much regard for the life of N. Similar treatment as Anakin.
And later the protagonist fights N on multiple occasions (as Luke does with Vader), until one final confrontation where outside the throne room all of the Allies and enemies of Ghetsis and N against the protagonists own, fight for the future of the people. The protagonist has reached the end of the line and achieved what many failed to do.
Ghetsis is defeated as Palpatine was (bar the death from his puppet), before the disillusioned N/Anakin are redeemed and look for a way to find a solution besides the one they chased in the time prior.
Yeah, a few bits don’t match, but I couldn’t help but compare.

Alternate B2/W2 Scenario:
When the player defeats Black/White Kyurem, Ghetsis uses DNA Splicer on *himself* to merge with Hydreigon. (like Lusamine did in S/M) and he is unbeatable. But another hero comes with another dragon pokemon... and his/her name is Hilbert/Hilda. With some intense fight, N, player, and Hilbert/Hilda realizes they have to merge 3 dragon pokemon to stop him, and fuses Reshiram/Zekrom/Kyurem and creates the ultimate dragon, which uses special beam kind of thing to finally destroy(which means kill) Ghetsis.
That laugh is sends chills down my spine

But amazing remaster nonetheless! You can hear "Ghetsis" if that's what you're expecting, if you weren't paying attention you could easily have misheard. Phenomenons like this are known as audio illusions, my favorite examples being brainstorm & green needle and gimmie your
