    What about that small pressure button that’s not there on the earlier 2000. Do we need to install that too?

    • @GrenergyTriFuel
      @GrenergyTriFuel  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      That button you are referring to is the carb run down switch. If you purchase the kit, there will be a step by step how to install guide for this switch.

    What is Honda's rationale for saying you shouldn't convert the older model to LP/NG? It's obviously not an operability issue, since the mod works. Could it be a reliability issue, long term?

    • @GrenergyTriFuel
      @GrenergyTriFuel  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      As a company, Honda simply would rather not want the liability of saying it works with alternative fuels. From their prospective, what ever comes from the factory is what they advertise and that is that.

    • @orlypalomar
      @orlypalomar 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@GrenergyTriFuel Yeah, I get that, thank you. But why single out just the older model? Does it employ, for example, a different metallurgy that makes it specifically not recommended to run LP/NG? I'm just curious what the technical reasoning is for them to release that bulletin.

    • @GrenergyTriFuel
      @GrenergyTriFuel  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      In the video the product manual is not of Honda, it is from our competitor. Our competitor does not recommend LP or NG for older model EU2000i simply because their kit does not work well on the series 1 EU2000i.
      This issue is only with our competitor, NOT us “Grenergy”. We have found no reason why LP or NG wouldn’t work on the series 1 EU2000i. Because of this, the kit it self speaks volume on how much testing and R&D that goes into our products to ensure it works better than anyone on the market.

    A few questions,
    1. What are the vents in your unit installed for.
    2. I have a Hutch Mtn kit with a Century regulator. Can I buy from you the adjustment piece for the high rpm use and the metal carburetor manifold with bolts without the entire kit?

      Hi Rolland,
      1.) Please click here --> grenergy-us.com/pages/whats-up-with-the-air-vents-why
      2.) Unfortunately we don't sell the fuel adapter separate unless its under warranty. You could always put the HM kit on eBay and recoup money towards the Grenergy kit.

    i'm curious about the extra round air vents you added........did the engineers at honda miss something?

    • @GrenergyTriFuel
      @GrenergyTriFuel  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Ed,
      The breather vents help balances the low-pressure vacuum inside the generator case. We find that this extra vacuum draw comes from the engine fan resulting in additional low pressure inside the case. This extra vacuum other than engine vacuum from the air intake box, can result in the demand regulator opening its diaphragm excessively, causing the engine to run too rich.
      With this fix, a better fuel economy is achieved which results in an extra run time of 1-2 hours per tank of propane.

      @@GrenergyTriFuel If you could use the wind air speed tool to measure intake and out take air speed with the vents uncovered and then a test with events covered. If you pick up AirSpeed I can see making vent holes. But if the airspeed slows down this will make the engine and parts run hotter. One guy with a sportsman 1000 4 stroke gasoline inverter generator took the side cover off and put a fan on generator installed generator and fan in the shade in the summertime. generator didn't last too much longer until it was smoking oil excessively out the exhaust. Obviously he was burning oil and had a lot of blow by with an engine getting so hot. These enclosed case inverter generators pull the cool air in push them through the case and the hot air goes out the back. Sort of like a cylinder head if you hog it out too much you'll slow down the velocity the speed of air won't travel as fast.

    I stopped watching when you bashed plastic, just because it’s not metal.

    • @GrenergyTriFuel
      @GrenergyTriFuel  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Obviously Tom Cee never had experience as an automotive technician.
      Mr Cee, just because it can be made out of plastic, doesn’t mean it should be plastic. I’ve seen my fare share of top dollar cars with plastic engine parts fail over a span of a few years. Leaving the owner with a very expensive repair bill and a not so reliable car.
      It’s also common sense for a business like myself to reduce liability. Especially when working with highly flammable vapor fuel types. And doing so with cheap 3D printed parts is NOT what your customers would want to pay for.
      Please see TH-cam links below for plastic engine part failures.

      Tom Cee is the type of person who likes to dip his fingers in electrical sockets to tell the world 120v is over rated, just because it’s not 120kv 😂
