Yea... how many years have I known that? If I could just abstain it would be so easy. But nope this issue has to be managed. So manage it I will. Thanks Susan.
Absolutely! Keep it easy peezy! Plate of vegetables sprinkled w spices, vinegar, lemon juice w protein on top and a bowl of fruit. Oh yes the freedom in fasting. Darn if we could just abstain.

I got so much from this! Just wanted to say thank you. I will be starting November 3rd doing as much research as possible before then. I'm excited this sounds like it will address my needs. If there was a scale from 1-20 I'd still be a 25. I was not surprised at all to see my score was a 10. I want to learn how to get off the eating struggle bus. It's exhausting

Susan you hit it right on the nose.Or gut( no pun intended). So true that recipes are not necessary in the first 90 days.Weighing and measuring and making sure the food is clean and abstinent is challenging enough.

Thank you for this! I felt very lonely because I don’t use recipes! Real food for me has to look like it does coming out of the ground. I can’t turn it into a veggie burger because a burger is Not My Food. I’m also SOS free as long as my food looks like the real food.

I don't have a problem with dairy but fruit is part of my sugar bright line and all grains/starchy veg are part of my flour bright line. This is me

Great point about the RECIPE THING!!!!
Recipes have ALWAYS been a RECIPE FOR DESASTER for me.
I eat plantbased very very very high raw.
    I ditched all the recipes.
I eat mono fruit meals or saldads with 3 ingredients (dressing included)
This was the ONLY thing that helped.
Recipes definitely are way to stimulating combinations for me.
And nuts and nutbutters definitely can not be in my house or my life.
So much freeeeeedom after you understand and implement these things

I saw you just now on Lewis' interview, and I admire you soooo much!
The way you can see this thing is bad, and just stop,...
    I wish I had...
I think my problem is I need friends that aren't addicts and that are healthy...but none of those pol want to hang out with me being the most unhealthy I've ever been with addictions feeding an early death.
But most ppl (if not all) suck. So I don't know...I am a housewife with all the support, money, time and anything necessary to change my life around, I just need to DO IT,
    But idk how,....
    Any advice for me?
    Anyone?

Hi Sarah! We love that you've reached out here for advice! You're right about surrounding yourself with people who will support your lifestyle or be a safe space to troubleshoot and recharge for life in the "real world."
That is why the folks in our membership value our private support community so much. We'd strongly recommend that you try finding a support community like that. 🧡
If food addiction is what you struggle with, we invite you to give Bright Line Eating a try. It's not a matter of "deciding to stop" but of taking the next right step, then the next one, then the next one. 🥰

First principles: what is food? What did our ancestors eat? When you define 'food' properly, there is no confusion, only clarity. What did our metabolism, over millions of years of evolution, evolve to consume? Animal products. Fat and protein. The fact that we can digest carbohydrates at all is a holdover from our ape ancestors--admittedly an effective survival method, which is why we didn't get rid of the ability entirely. We are apex predators because we can hunt for 3 seasons, then can pack on weight foraging berries and tubers to survive the lean winters. But we have, through technology, expanded, refined, and distilled the substance originally meant only for 'survival' and turned it into vice, overindulgence, and addiction: refined carbohydrates (which includes, and especially, table sugar). It's like running a car primarily on nitrous--sure it'll "work", but it will rapidly deteriorate the engine.

You can stop eating fattening unhealthy food. You can.

    • @marjol3in

Yes, but we can still binge on healthy foods. Food addiction is food addiction.
