My son and daughter-in-law got married on 11/1. I plan to use the same strategy I used the (while everyone had dessert) for the Holidays. I have a 2 month old granddaughter and a 5 month old granddaughter - the youngest of 12. I held babies while their parents enjoyed the things I don't eat. It worked for them and for me, and it didn't seem awkward. I wasn't sitting and watching everyone eat cake. I was busy and happy! XOXOXOXOX Thanks for these great tips and Bright Survival Techniques!

I love most of your videos. I'm not part of BLE, and I could never follow your food plan, and I have a 12 step tribe I love, but your thoughts, research, advice, actionable tools are so valuable. Thank you!

Thank you. This is an exceptional video for "staying bright through the holidays" and, also, one of the best lessons for learning "How To Cope With The Stressors in Your Life." Being able to SUCCESSFULLY COPE with the "temptations," "stresses," "habitual responses" and/or "waining motivation to change/desire to be disciplined" and push through with one's commitment to self and the chosen course of action is what makes goals attainable and the new way of being sustainable. Thank you again, your message arrived just in time...when I'm down with the flu/chest cold and needing to begin again...only this time with real hope.

Your advice resembles the program for Food Addicts called Food Addiction commonly known as FA. I am wondering if you speak about this program to help others to find recovery pointing them to a program that has been around for decades and decades, not just eight years.

      Hi Krissy,
We just replied similarly to another of your comments, but are not sure which you'll see first--so we though it would be beneficial to mention it here as well.
It might be helpful to give you a general outline of what FA and Bright Line Eating (BLE) each have to offer. Hopefully this will give you some clarity on the differences.
Generally speaking, FA is a 12-step program that welcomes people who are looking to recover from food addiction. It encourages its members to make use of tools such as a sponsor, weekly meetings, and outreach calls. It also has specific guidelines regarding access to the program’s food plan.
Alternatively, Bright Line Eating focuses on providing an environment where you can sustain weight loss regardless of where you fall on the scale of food addiction or weight struggles. During our courses, you will receive video modules that teach you about the science behind food addiction and how to use Bright Lines in your everyday life. This method allows you to not only reach your goal weight, but to maintain it as well. The videos address a variety of topics.
Bright Line Eating also conducts weekly live coaching calls and 2 daily accountability calls. These calls allow you to ask questions about Bright Line Eating or any difficulties you may be experiencing.
We also have an Online Support Community that connects you to people participating in the same courses as you are, as well as some more experienced members who can give guidance and answer questions. If you’re stuck at a certain weight, or have a question you can’t find an answer to, we also have a support team in place. This support can range from guidance with self acceptance to talking with our eating disorder specialist.
I hope this overview has helped!
      - With love and care. 🧡

@@Brightlineeating Your reply is very thoughtful and well explained. Both programs to me, sound very much the same still. I am happy to know you are being so helpful for people who need you. This is a beautiful thing you are gifted with! For those who do not have funds available to them who feel they are in a rock in a hard place, do not need to continually struggle knowing that there is a program out there (Food Addiction Anonymous FA) that can help them free of charge. Hey, if there are those who have the money to part with and can afford it by all means spend money for your program (Bright Line Eating) that will guide them. I just love honesty in the world and that would mean conveying to others that there is a similar journey they can take, similar to yours they may use that is free if they do not have the funds to part with.

Do you have a video about your success of getting off of crack cocaine? That’s really needed too. I mean food addiction is a disease but crack addiction is so much uglier and hurts more than just the individual. Thank you dear.
