    I actually love this scape so much, it showcases the sansui really well and it being a nano tank just shows the accessibility. Personally I'd have gone with the classic H Cuba and Monte Carlo to w hairgrass at the back but this scape still looks amazing!
    For fish I thought Ember Tetras at first but I'd say Celestial Pearl Danios w Cherry/Red Crystals

    Happy to see this little tank coming along so nicely, thank you for the update 😊 I think if you’re going to use co2, it’s always best to spend the extra money and do it the right way and use an electric solenoid. The risk of gassing out your tank overnight isn’t worth it in my opinion. When it comes to the fish, I think around 5 or so male endlers or guppies would be very happy in there with the current layout. A small group of microrasboras would work as well, but they would really appreciate some floating plants and/or stem plants to make them feel more comfortable. Can’t wait to see what you add either way 😁

    I love this little nano tank setup. The plants look amazing. I would stick this little guy with some blue shrimp and d.tinwini or danio sp. TW02. They are so cool. They look like little speckled trout or something like that. I would use the ADA ball valve as well for the CO2. No need to have it run constantly and you can also adjust how much is going in the tank if the plants are doing very well and may not need as much CO2. This valve will allow you to dial it down. I can’t wait to see it stocked with fish. 👍🏼🙂

    I tried once the dry start method with eleocharis and didn't like the evolution with this plant. Then I tried montecarlo and the grow with this plant is insane. Thanks to that now I cultivate my own montecarlo for different purposes, but I do use tap water, never removed the cover and just have a very tiny hole for ventilation. This is a inspiration for triying again with eleocharis, looks very nice. Thanks for the video!

    To answer the questions :
    a) I'd use a solenoid. I'd be afraid to leave the CO2 on for too long by mistake.
    b) For fish i would use Green Neon Tetra / Paracheirodon Simulans. The green of the fish will fit the tank accent. This is a nano tank and this species has a max size of 1.5 inches. This species also likes the tank a bit acidic which is fine with a CO2 system.
    Great tank ! Thanks for the video.

    For fish celestial pearl danios might be good, but they wont school to the same extent as say a chili rasbora. However, based on kong shrimp, you'd already have a touch of red, so perhaps a more teal or blue fish, neons or cardinals to really get a nice color pop.

      ONF flat Nano or Twistar E Series, depending if you need the control and your aquarium size

    Do the little solenoid regulator! Been wanting to get the tropica system and the only reason I haven't is I don't know if I can retrofit a different regulator with a solenoid

    Jurijs, I have just invested in an ADA cube 45p, got my substrate etc but looking for lighting rn, your endorsements work because I am looking at twinstar, what difference do you notice from twinstar 1st and 2nd generation 450e as it’s very hard to get the 2nd gen where I live atm and was wondering if first gen will be a good choice, I also notice the newer II version has lower Kelvin so is difference light composition what’s that like?

    Hi did you switch on the light 24 hrs during the 10 weeks and after putting in fishes?

    Yet another amazing scape. I was wondering I have seen some scapers use Co2 during a dry start. Did you do this?

      That's absolutely silly.

    • @JurijsJutjajevs
      @JurijsJutjajevs  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I've done this before yes. But its hard to tell if it had any beneficial effect. This nano tank and video proves its not necessary. However, if you want to max out growth and speed up the DSM maybe having extra Co2 will help

    I'm about to build my first tank very soon. I've been watching videos like crazy and have learned alot. The one subject that everyone talks about but does not elaborate on is, "melting plants". What does this mean? What causes melt and how do I prevent plant melt? Besides mold, does dry start have any bad side effects to submerged plants?

    • @JurijsJutjajevs
      @JurijsJutjajevs  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If you do a bio active DSM, no mold and no other disadvantages. It only takes patience to wait prior filling with water

    Since the colour scene is so mild (black rock and green plants) I think that the Endlers guppy would be nice fish, and cherry shrimps.

    If I want to do plants only and no fish or shrimp do I need co2 and filters? Can I just follow this tutorial to grow the plants and then fill the tank with water and just leave it with minimum maintenance?

  • @jeanmck1577

    I would put chilli rasboras as I think they'd look amazing against the green and the grey rocks.
