@@JurijsJutjajevs I’ve always been intimidated by high tech setups because I don’t like using co2, but I really have the perfect tank and lighting for a high tech setup 😅 I’m swapping sand for soil again after having algae issues. I’m still thinking of the layout, but an iwagumi like this might be the perfect scape!
Some people might find it embarrassing to share failures, I believe it helps keeping it real. In addition negative examples are stronger and help memorize the lesson
Hey Juri Great video as usual 😊 I have a tip for you, I found a handy tool in Davinci Resolve (I think you're editing with it) In the colour tab and search "deflicker" in the top right hand corner then drag it onto the node. Then just use the "detail to restore" slider to kill the flickering. It should completely remove the flicker from the Lighscreen and lights.
welcome to a life of pulling riccia out of spots you dont want it. stuff never goes away, harder to get rid of than duckweed! that said, such an easy plant to grow
Excellent and concise tutorial. 👍 I am not much of an Iwagumi person myself, but I can appreciate the concept. What next? Uhm, I like wood structures, so maybe an Island scape with wood, supporting rocks and cosmetic sand surrounding it? I'd love to see a couple of videos, in the same way like this one. 😎
You are very good at coming up with new (great) video ideas, that is why i follow your channel :) that being said, i liked that your analysis of several tanks to find out common plants, maybe you could talk about that a bit more? (maybe an analysis of several tanks and some of the rocks/plants/fish/tank size could be an interesting video).
nice scape, im glad you gave the walk through with it as well. although i think iwagumis are a little overrated, doesnt change that less detailed scapes leave little room for error. i actually plan on doing one in the future with red pumice/lava rock myself so it was really nice to see someone more experienced do it as well.
Great tank and tutorial. Did you dose APT Zero the whole time? Or did you switch to APT 1? Also, did you use Microbe-Lift Special Blend on this tank? Thanks!
Apt zero = Apt 1 And yes I’ve been using apt zero from the start for the entire time. Carpeting plants get most of what they need from the soil anyway. After planting I added special blend and Nite out from arka and on d I added the fish Thera p as well. Since the aquarium was already pre cycled (dark start) I only added the microbe lift products bi weekly as recommended
Currently your tank is my inspiration, i love your choice for rocks, btw you ever experienced any melting in the initial stage? Alot of people says tissue culture plants do melt at beggining, you ever had any issue like that so far?
First things first I removed the source of trouble and trimmed down the carpet harsh and syphoned all melting and loose plant matter. Afterwards I did what usually helps in most cases: bump up the CO2, clean filter, dose some good bacteria, and stay on top with regular water changes. In addition I spot treated some algae on the rocks with APT fix lite.
That rock type doesnt do it for me at all, guess its the color that imo doesnt go well with the green plants. Im not a Iwagumi expert by any means, but isnt there too much space left from the top of the highest rock to the water surface ? Looks a bit weird would have elevated it a bit more :) Anyway, high quality video production as always a pleasure to watch!
It’s rather unusual I agree. IMHO the color goes well with the green, but it’s very colorful, which isn’t common for iwagumi. The issue with the open space at the top would be solved for photo contest by lowering the water level

Nothing like watching some Aquascaping content at 1am.
That’s what weekends are for 🍿 📺
For real! Currently at 2:16😂
Definitely a Dutch aquascape should be the next
was watching this beautiful video at 1 AM while eating ice cream 🍦 😎 Gorgeous plant choice! Very nice Iwagumi
My first video of the day, inspiring, to say the least. Great information
Such great information. I’m planning a rescape of my 21 gallon and this is very helpful 😊 beautiful scape!
You welcome, will yours be an iwagumi or something different?

@@catpax6075 keep in mind Iwagumi has relatively low bio mass. dark start and floatings plants afterwards will help with the start
It looks stuning and that UNS tank and the cabinet goes so well together !
Thanks mate, what should I do next?
Glad you shared the carpet maintenance issues, most channels leave a build on the results without summarising maintenance and tank troubleshooting.
Some people might find it embarrassing to share failures, I believe it helps keeping it real. In addition negative examples are stronger and help memorize the lesson
This has to be the most expensive tank start I've seen in a while.
Beautiful work and I enjoyed getting the whole journey in one video
Cheers Logan, I wish I had your VO skills 😂

I’ll forward the info to my editor. Thanks
Great tutorial! Love the dark start method! Thanks for the video Jurijs!
Thanks Mike, what style you want to see next?
welcome to a life of pulling riccia out of spots you dont want it. stuff never goes away, harder to get rid of than duckweed! that said, such an easy plant to grow
What I hate about RICCIA the most is when it turns dark green. It’s like a completely different plant than the one I added
id love to see you do a red crypt carpet with black lava rock hardscape
Excellent and concise tutorial. 👍

😎
I haven’t done a proper island 🏝️ in a long time
I love the contrast of the stones against the plants you selected! Beautiful scape mate! I’m only 3 weeks behind on videos 😂
Thanks mate, as much as I loved the contrast, I couldn’t get used to it 😂 my next iwagumi will be classic again
@@JurijsJutjajevs 😂 I get it! Classic is best!
What I was waiting for🙂
Hopefully you like it 😉
I am a massive iwagumi fan, you managed to make such a nice tank the end was unfortunate😢. I think you should do dutch style next.
I’ve been thinking about doing one for a long time 😏
Damn, that turned out incredible!
Thanks for watching, what should I do next?

That’s an interesting topic. My initial question was “what layout should I do next inside the UNS 60U aquarium?”
Superbe !

Keep the plants all green and keep the plant choice simple. No experiments and no Riccia 😂 any suggestions what I should do next?

TC plants are sensitive to ammonia spikes. Performing a dark start prior planting will help avoid plant melting
Great Aquascaping content! I wonder how did you deal with that algae outbreak? less light time? less CO2 injection? Thanks in advance!
First things first I removed the source of trouble and trimmed down the carpet harsh and syphoned all melting and loose plant matter. @@JurijsJutjajevs Makes sense. Thanks a lot mate!
I would love to see a jungle still scape next
A jungle style 🤔
You're always supposed to use an odd number of stones. Part of the natural imperfection of iwagumi
did you just plant it with the foam still attached to the plant...

Klein anfangen und dann erhöhen ist immer ein guter Plan
What kind of lighting are you using and which brand is that?
Life Aqua master pro 2
Next i would go for a convex nature style.
Carpet or sand?
