Yep yep. Another chance for a worthwhile comparison too! The acoustic gives a very different vibe from the original.
"Freezer" is a great hard-rock song that has 70's/80's vibes. "Giovanni" is unique and out of this world. But there's no shame to play safe and remain in your comfort zone 😏

Giovanni is a character from a 1934 sci-fi novel Night on the Galactic Railroad. The character goes on a journey and the song takes you on a journey.
Love Miku and Saiki trading vocals and harmonizing in Freezer. Also love the opening riff especially when MISA joins in. Now you should check out one of Kanami’s more progressive songs, Giovanni. The instrumental version is a must to grasp how complex the music underneath the vocals is.

Up until about 2018-19, when they use to play all their songs exactly as recorded in the studio, I use to sync up the fan video with the album recording and, with a little mix from the live video for ambience, playback the fan vid with perfect sound. I did that for years and still occasionally do. In the last few years they seem to go off sync on a few songs, but it still works on others. Their older songs are 🔥🔥🔥.
Here's how to do it: Search out an old fan vid of say, the Paris version of Freezer, and open it up in one window, and then grab their official release in another window (it can just be an album release with no vid). Then sync them up with a few clicks by counting off the initial beats, and wall-a... perfect audio with a live performance that didn't exist. Hearing Band-Maid with great sound is the Real Existence, right? 🤘🤣

The Copy/Paste Wars of 2022 were a brutal and relentless display of unshakable fandom and devotion to a single purpose -- win at all costs. The true victim of all this insanity was the most innocent, and yet, also the most responsible -- Jake, and by proxy, Future Jake. Jake had asked for comments regarding what to react to next. In fact, he even encouraged them. Little did he know what furious hell he had unleashed. . .
Oh, I forgot to vote for a song. Hmm. . . I'll stick with the 'non-fiction days'. Those other 2 have enough votes, I think. 🙃
A relatively straightforward song from this band, but I love love _love_ the Run-DMC/Beastie Boys back and forth between Saiki and Miku trading words or syllables. Sadly, this is the only song they do this in. And while it is relatively straightforward instrumentally, everything is just fantastic. I love the sound of the bass and guitar. Drums are unsurprisingly right on point. Everything hits hard and that solo is one of my favorites. I like to say this particular particular song is "octane rock" because it makes me wanna go baja racing out in dune buggies or do some motocross or something. It's like the theme song for X-games or something. A top ten Band-Maid song in my book and their best pre-Just Bring It track imho.

The fact that Kanami is too quiet in the mix during the solos in her live versions is nothing new, and I suspect that this is even intentional. In this respect, a little more ego wouldn't do her or the live-sound any harm at all. :)
And I understand you so well about the temperatures. I'm sitting here at 1:03 a.m. in my home at 28 °C. During the day, well over 30. It's not funny!

I will say Sayonakidori acoustic and the album track definitely have different vibes. Not to throw more on your plate, but unlike something like something like Smile, another banger but the acoustic and the album are more or less the same in tone, the album and the live acoustic of Sayonakidori starkly contrast each other.
LOVE this AWESOME song!! You can also put me down for Giovanni, but I suggest comparing the regular version to the instrumental video version, where Kanami is going so fast, it almost looks like they sped up the film. (Of course they didn't, but it looks so spectacular, hardly possible!) Thanks Jake! 🤘🤩🤘

I think it's time someone introduced you to some Harajukucore. It's a blend of metal, punk, pop, and rap. Oh, and fashion, but that's more for the videos and live shows. Check out the song 'We Love Sweets' by Hanabie (ha-na-be-ay). It means "cold flowers" or sudden cold weather in spring. Beware the tiny GIANT, Yukina!

@@GaryHolloway-810 An emotional time Gary..getting a little angry at things..myself included...My head is full of doubt in my ability to pull off a trip to Japan...not really unexpected...I still can't take in I got a ticket...seems sureal...I feel I want to gets things booked asap..so as to know it's done and all I have to do is wait..as I know how much I procrasinate and I don't want to leave it to the last minute then fail...Starting now means more time to sort things if problems arise...But I have so many question flying about in my head as to whether it should be a "get there, concert, get back" trip...To save on money and less to think about. But it might be (very likely to be) the only time ever get to go to Japan so wouldn't want to miss out on the chance to see something of it...I know the short trip is the more sensible option..considering my problems....But to come home and think.."woulda, coulda, shoulda" would be a real let down, as it would bug me bad knowing I was there and didn't do anything!..I would like to at least see something!...like crossing the "Shibuya Scramble Crossing". To be able to say "I've done that"..even if it would be just to myself...And to visit the shrine where "Real Exsistance" MV was filmed...I know the weather in Japan in Jan is not gonna be great...This is my main concern for whether I should try a little site seeing...Thinking.." get to Japan a day inadvance of concert..so as to get barings depending on where I am so as to scope out the venue so a know where I need to go, next day, day of concert, next day, recovery & pack what ever, next day fly home."..so like actually 3 days in Japan and 2 days travels?..That I think is the most straight forward...though I could fly back the next day after the concert instead of staying the extra day... Anyway..this is the most sensible option..BUT!!...IF!..this is gonna be my only chance to visit Japan...do I go the whole hog?....Book to get to Japan early in the new year, spend say 5 days site seeing...then the concert..then say 5 days AFTER the concert for more site seeing?..As I so would like to visit Kyoto and Hiroshima..possibly Osaka...just go mad!...But considering I have barely even booked a taxi!...it's a long shot for sure that this would really be an option...And as I say..the weather might really put a dampner on things....Then again...IF!..I do the sensible option...there is a very very slim chance (if money situ allows) I could visit again when the weather is better just for the site seeing...And maybe catch another B-M concert if they are touring near by. (fat chance but hey ho!.)...If I was going with someone else..then I feel the site seeing might be on. But as I will be alone..I have to think sensibly..Then again the fact I am in the situation where by I have the opportunity to see the ladies in Japan is crazy in itself!.....Feels like my head will explode...Decisions, decisions..something I am not good at making...Sorry for waffling....And thank you for asking Gary.

I personally gravitate towards their compositions, because I generally think they are better than the early songs composed for them. That’s only because all things are relative… the early songs are fantastic as well! And, in this instance, i will go with Freezer. -Yeah that live video is just hard to hear. That said, there are a couple fancams out there, mostly by Vladimir Chupin, a favorite of Maidiacs, that has some decent recordings. Nowhere near pro quality, but definitely much better than this, especially because you can feel the energy and the crowd singalongs are just fantastic.
