I owned my 2002 C5 for 21 yrs & 1 month & felt like doing what you did after dealing with typical C5 DIC’s, part replacements, just aggravating chasing down normal everyday problems. Said enough was enough & got tired of not trusting it after throwing $$$ at it. Walked into my local used car dealer & they bought it. I was sad but also relieved that I’d cut my losses. Can’t Waite for the install , thanks for re motivating me to do a last build I’m 60, watchin You , And Dan ( Hotrod Jesus LOL ) at DD Speed Shop , about to start on my life dream car ,it’s kinda long story, but I stroked , Dr Told my wife if Iwas showin cars they all had to go , she sold them , so I wouldn’t be working on cars anymore , anyway after about 12 yrs I found a 48 chev 2 Dr that had been frame off 4 link rear suspension done mustang 2 front clip, and fuel cell and floors done but a ton left to do , had been 350ci and turbo 350 , Guy I got it from kept that an sold me the rest , I Got it all home covered waiting for the temp outside to go up and quit raining ( Washington state ) anyway I see this 56 chev 2 door wagon Handyman 150 wagon , when I was ten I bought a model of that car and swore one day , well it was between4,999. And 5,000, I’d bought the 48 for 4 k less , I ask about a swap guy came out looked , said I’ll be back tomorrow, and he was , so I’ve got the job of my life comin ( rockers floor patch panels ) for me that’s a lot as I’m not even a no is welder , but bought one I’ll figure out mig , any way have a 325, 300hp to build , and bought a 305 runner and turbo 350 gonna try and be at Harbor Freight Local Friday sat show and shine by Summer , so wanted to Thankyou , for fixing in me what was Broken , Home Built Hotrod . Thank You William

Derek, there's a guy up in G-dale Alberta who has a couple vidyas on how to pull engines. He has some great helpful hints.

Yeah, you could have gotten an LS from a recycler cheaper but you would have cheated your fans of all this great content! You motivate me to keep at my frustrating and never ending jeep project.

Derek, I have a funny feeling you are going to use this motor for your next “burn out competition” hot rod!…. nothin’ like an LT-1 motor for the next generation of smoke’n tires and free stylin’ burn outs! Great entertainment and I learn so much from you!
