There were two Chris Tavare's in English cricket. In test matches only the methodical and determined front foot blocker was usually on show. At county cricket level supporters of Kent frequently watched an enterprising and occasionally unorthodox stroke maker and dasher. Glimpses of this second Tavare can be seen here in a couple of the cover drives played to overpitched leg spinners bowled by Abdul Qadir.

I was there day 1,3 and 4
This was my first Test. While I don't remember it being a good crowd I am surprised at how many empty seats there appears to be.
Ah, Gower and the waft outside off stump. Classic. Nice to see we've always been capable of piss-poor batting collapses.
