Slavery to land owners is a system propblem in Pakistan, where land owning elites used Islam to prevent any land reforms. It is good that you used your own money to free a slave, but then this systemic problem won't go away until laws could be enacted that would put a ceiling on the land that one can own

Many of these people who are of a certain cast in Pakistan I witnessed that they would only marry the woman who also is poor if they would agree to work in such places making bricks so they owners pay half of the salary which would be agreed upon as to how many bricks they will produce and the men then gamble the money totally so the women have no choice but to toil in very hot weather conditions even I’ve seen young children,all families giving hand to finish off quickly..!
