As far as i know mansa mousa I who was a muslim African in Mali was the richest man in history. Islam gave rights to africans, they became richer than anyone in the world and they were equal to every other muslim bc we are one ummah.

Perhaps you should read what malcom X said after he went to mecca to do hajj, he was dealing with racism all his life in the US ( he was one of the main reasons of the black rights and equality we see today) but only 2 weeks in mecca showed him that a black and a white could be brothers, equals under this religion of islam

Jizya is the protection contract of the non muslims so thaf no one can harm them to force them to accept islam.
The Muslims had to pay more (zakat) which is 2.5% of your wealth each year plus the charity they need to give all the year.
The jews had to pay waaaaay less yet they got protected but the law of jizya. They could even have tjeir own court and judge according to their own laws without the muslims bothering them

Some people hate seeing themselves as victims, so they make excuses for people's racism. It's not uncommon. It's a survival mechanism. I did that for years. But now I stand against it as it's another form of condoning injustice. Not addressing the problem makes it grow more. It doesn't serve society as a whole.
Subhanallah I just find it really sad....i hope what they're going through and seeing every religion, country and colour is fighting for them on the other side makes themselves revalued how they are to ppl in their country....shame

Ive honestly never understood the hate directed towards black people. I truly love being black and I feel so sorry for people trying to tell me/us otherwise. We are black and we are a proud people! I love us

Based on my 15 years of work experience in Dubai and having travelled a big part of Arab countries, i can tell you that racism is the main foundation pillar of Arab society. There is no law to protect non-arabs especially from third world countries. They are crazy about western nationalities. I pray to God to turn Dubai upside down for the injustice they have in their society. They are one of the most cruel nations on this planet today (including Saudis).

The Prophet said: 'Sell him to me,' and he bought him for two black slaves. Then he did not accept the pledge from anyone until he asked: 'Is he a slave?"'

Furthermore I think the world forgets who created civilisation and that was the people of Egypt and they were coloured and those egyptians educated the first Greeks who in time educated western Europe and the rest of the Mediterranean
I personally think that the original Arabs that were dark skinned obviously because they are from the desert should be treated with respect because they are the ones that created Arabic culture and language and I really don't think the term black Arab should be allowed to be used
White Arab can be used but only when referring to the fact that they are not original Arabs they were conquered, colonised and educated and taught religion by the original Arabic people

I personally am part English and one quarter Italian/Greek and one of quater Egyptian and my Egyptian relatives do look similar to African people to be honest
I personally have always believed that the original Arabs are of African decent and they mixed with the middle eastern people at that time and them people were also of colour and that mix of the two races became the original Arabic people
And I agree with you that the light skinned people that you believe are turks and Europeans are certainly not indigenous to most Arabic countries

It goes further than this ... I am half Palestinian - half Lebanese born in Lebanon ( well because family has been kicked out in 1948 ) , in Lebanon there is so much hate towards Palestinians , that they use colorism to justify it .

And the governments of these countries are satisfied with such a system.

Islam is not racist and forbids it, but this does not automatically mean that all muslims are anti-racist. Also, there is racism issue in the Arab community, but that does not mean all Arabs are racist though. There are so many kind anti-racist Arabs. However some Arabs hold racist or stereotypical ideas, that does not always mean they will go to a black person and be discriminatory, but means they wouldn't want a black person marrying their child, avoiding black people, or feeling superior than a black person.

I as an Arab, agree with your answer! Black is the definition of beauty and joy. However a majority of humans should look down at certain types of people whether their black or white, Asian or Arab, tall or short....and so on and I am greatly *disappointed* in us a s a society! I would like to tell all my brother and sister that you are beautiful whether you are blue, green, orange, or white! Furthermore, you should NOT care about what other people think because there thoughts are NOT facts, there just pointless opinions.
