Doesn't feel as premium as a 2.5cr car because it's not a 2.5 cr car. In middle east, UAE it's sold at 60-70 Lakh rupees. In India only it's super expensive thanks to the unreal taxes by government on this car.
In Nepal it’s 5.50 crore car

Unbelievable starting price at 2.1 crores. In Australia, you can get the base model GX for just around $100K or approx 55 lacs.

Legendary off roader. The indisputable king no matter what the critics say.
But Toyota is an overpriced car, being a global No.1 car they are putting hefty prices for brand value, especially in India they are selling substandard quality cars with huge prices and taxation is also a problem. The Japanese cars we get in the Middle East (forget about the US & Europe) are awesome when compared to the Indian market, of course, it is their traditional market. I am planning to change my Ford Ecosport and reviewed most of the Compact SUVs, still, I feel my car's interiors and features are at par with the latest one.
Though can't buy it but love watching it

If only it comes for a price that’s ‘reasonable’ 55 lacs for Fortuner and 2cr++ for LC is insane pricing, however reliable the car is! Toyota knows that can charge whatever and ppl will still buy (like Apple). But there is a very large and deep enthusiast market today for whom such cars are just beyond reach
you do realise that its not toyota charging whatever they want but actually because of the import taxes right? Why on earth would toyota charge 2-3x more in a price sensitive market like india? The only way toyota can sell the lc for a lesser price would be by manufacturing it in India and that would be stupid because the lc probably wont sell well at lower prices either.

Global Taxi maker Toyota thinks it is a very premium brand in India. 2.1 crore for this makes no sense. Fortuner at almost 60 lakhs… Innova at 35 lakhs.. I hope Indians too wake up and stop buying these cars. Toyota will be forced to price them right

To burst your bubble the heavy tax system was put in place by your congress regime, the Modi govt. is at least pushing to manufacture here for incentives. Despite manufacturing the Innova and Fortuner here the prices are still some of the highest which they aren't worth paying for. So as he said Toyota is ripping people off.
Toyota can never price them low because of the huge tax our government takes from each vehicle

You should put the Toyota Land Cruiser 300 up against the Lexus lx and Mercedes Benz gls and bmw x7 and Audi Q7 and Land Rover Range Rover Vogue to see how it stacks up
LC is not competing with that segment. Those are luxury SUV, this is hardcore SUV with luxury features

It will outlive its owner , only if government would allow its owner to keep it at his own home and use it as well on road. Considering the new rules everywhere , it's getting nuisance out there. The automotive culture is dipping because of stupid rules out there , without much thought into things.
