- The car featured here is the 2 Mazda CX5 2.2L Turbo Diesel Akera AWD pushing out 140kw and 450nm of torque. All that is mated to Mazda's well known 6 speed automatic.
This video is a 2nd video on the vehicle and its a reliability test on gravel road. The 3rd and final video will be coming soon together with a written review that I will put on changecars.co.za

Great review my brother. I normally do some gravel drive with my 2.0 Active and I can confirm it feels solid and comfortable on those roads, you really forget that you driving on gravel.

The exterior design looks amazing indeed, its a pity that they didn't bother to update the interior, but that interiors seems to be solid at least. well great video and Goodluck with the channel.

Is it running on a CVT box/transmission?
How responsive is it compared to the outgoing model?
Hi Kgothatso, Its the usual 6-speed auto. I honestly did not sense any mechanical change on the vehicle. With the Akera not having a sport mode, its always better to pull it on manual to get better and controlled response.
They just need to put panoramic sunroof on their cars and they will be perfect. I'm torn between this, Toyota Corolla Cross/RAV4, VW Tiguan/TRoc and Haval Jolion/H6
True they really are great, this one has the best engine of all CX-5. Depending on the size you are looking for, T-Roc may be the best to have fun in, H6 the best value for money.

Hi Tshegofatso, sorry for late response, been out for a while. Yoh, Lexus hardly ever responds to email requests. There are a select few who review their cars and the dealerships are very sceptical of giving those for review.

Hi MJ, yes it has. The camera did not pick it up properly for some reason. It is a projected one on the windscreen

Slightly bigger than the 3008, but which would you BUY between the two?
I haven't driven the 3008 but I am very fond of the interior styling and the 1.6T in the GT is just too good as I have experienced it elsewhere. I would take the 3008 considering the pricing as well
Surprisingly the wife Loved this more. She's been with us for 4 months. Brilliant car. Just wish it had a pan roof and bigger infotainment for the price. But great car nonetheless.
Fuel economy?
Apologies Mateye, you can get +/-8L/100km on this one since it's a diesel. If you push it harder though t will not be forgiving. It's still much better than petrol though which can return around 10L/100km so I heard
Does it have adaptive cruise control?
Unfortunately not. 😌! I think there are things they needed to include especially on top spec
