I was blessed to do the same thing last year, after paying the movers to relocate it and fixing and cleaning the inside I would say it is well worth it. I want to see the finished product. 😊
My family did this!! We bought a couple of acres of land and a fixer-upper double-wide :) 1 year and 7? Months later we have a nicer kitchen! New walls and floor:) a beautiful front and back porch!! And more.
My husband posed the idea of us purchasing one, near his favorite fishing spot, for vacationing. I know we'd save money, in the long run. Question. Since a mobile home doesn't appreciate in value, what're some ideas to recover the upfront costs we'd have to sink into it?
@@Solutions3000 mobile homes can appreciate especially double wides to get top value out of it you need to set it up on concrete slabs and you need to brick the bottom rather than standard underpinning. The concrete slabs is just strips of concrete the blocks set on this practically guarantees easy financing for potential buyers. Also the home obviously needs to be in great shape like any other home the nicer and more professionally its done the more valuable it will be. The problem with mobile homes is most of the parts are not standard home stuff the electrical outlets are different the bathtubs are different sizes the sheetrock is thinner so compensating for these differences can destroy the value of the home so just do a professional job get the right size stuff dont "make it work" so to speak and if its a double wide in a nice location it will certainly appreciate. Oh and big porches with nice roofs like the one in this video really help out too.
Does it have water damage? I’m in similar situation except in the desert and older about to retire. Money and decent help are scarce!!! I wish you good luck and great results!!
Congrats, my family did the same thing and even though it was extremely hard because we did all the work ourselves. But it was beautiful when we finished!!!! Good Luck guys!!
I actually put a post on Facebook, kind of explaining what I was looking for. One of my Facebook connections shared my post, and someone they knew owned it and reached out to me via Facebook. They asked if I wanted to meet them to go look at it! I think we just got real lucky!
@@lacresiafalls I see. I currently have a realitor helping me a buy for forecloser house. just east of bakersfield. not even sure its helping the buying process. It’s actually not that bad. We have put a new roof on it, fixed the flooring and ceiling issues from leaks, bought new floor covering, put in some new doors, and are almost ready to paint and have spent $15,000. Much cheaper than buying a new mobile home… 😉
Congratulations. I wouldn't call it a mobile home.... simply call it home. Which it is
"Mobile" doesn’t make a home less than. "Mobile" means we can take our home with us, if we want. Great feature, sometimes.
Modular home? Manufactured home? Either of those would fit.
@@Sonsie66I have read that the most updated correct terminology is now "manufactured home."

Great ! Awesome! Wonderful! Home!
Love it! I grew up in fixer upper moble homes with lots of land! Best memories as a young kid! Your family is so blessed.
Has a lot of potential! Congrats!

We did too but there's water damage on the floor
My son bought a manufactured home and completely renovated it. He lived there for a year and sold for $90,000 profit to upgrade to another home.
Congrats!! Just found and started following you a few days ago!!! Me and my husband want to be a part of what your doing, we live in Georgia😊
Subbed. Congrats!! May God bless your new home. ❤

Thank you! There is some water damage in one room from a leaky roof. The first thing we are doing is putting a new roof on! Good luck!
Same here in AZ

Pace yourself. I jumped all in and it’s costly.
Your home looks large. Best of luck to you.
Very exciting
Add a 3rd bathroom to it
Working on one right now.. that’s an extra 1200 a month for me
Goo
Nice steel
Looks like lots of work but it’ll definitely be worth it
I’m from the city and will be moving to the country after Christmas and will be buying a mobile home I’m so nervous. May I ask for tips plz
Sure thing! We are not experts by any means but I can share with you what has worked or not worked for us! 🥰
Did you move, after Christmas 2021 and buy a mobile home?
It's not bad at all
Good work. Am looking to find something like this as well. How did you find it. zillow or redfin?

I am doing the same .
Wow I would love to find something like that
It can be done!
@@lacresiafalls where we're you able to find something like this ?
NIce size
What state if you don’t mind me asking ??
How can I get mine
This is what I'd like..a couple of acres and a small home I can live in while I fix it or build a new home.
Well it was quiet till this video
Only problem is see with mobile homes is you have to lease the land monthly for $500 or $400. But if no one minds, better than paying lots on rent.
Mobile don't go up in value like houses
the acreage can offset that issue most times...
Paint job and floor job in roof job room job bathroom job kitchen job and you go to go
Need more of this
Just keep your Big City politics out of our peaceful Country and we will be fine. 👍
It has terrible damage, would be cheaper to buy a new single wide.
