We bought a mobile home for $7000. Stripped it to the studs to update electrical, studs, and floors. We are about to update the roof in two weeks once I get pass my surgery and healing process.
Pretty much all mobile homes have the same layout so the fact that you're able to renovate and make upgrades to look like the first and third house really is mind blowing and extremely inspirational
Man I love how the added Sun porch in house number one with busted through walls opened up the entire house incredibly beautifully! Would I love to do that to my mobile home! And I might. I love the courage that it takes to just knock a wall down.
I love the Malibu house. Thanks! It is like my 10000 poverty trailer including the corrugated metal I added to my back deck. I don’t have double doors or a big bath but I have imagination and I am henceforth imagining that I live in a million dollar gem! Seriously! ❤️
I agree with you number one stunner! I believe the lot rent is pretty pricey also, but for that area it’s a steal!I live in the mid west and our prices are pretty low,its about location, location!
I too, like that first one. I raised my kids in Santa Monica so we were neighbors. Paradise Cove has always been on my envy list. I agree that the Colorado house is a good price for today's market and that it's geared to a camping family. Kind of fun.
You keep on posting your information about the mobile homes it is great information..and the mobile homes will be more expensive depending on where you live..I love the videos because it shows people that other affordable living options out there😁
Whooo, this was my mothers house for about 15 years! I only recognized it from the outside because of the parking spaces to the right. and the trees at the end of the deck. This is amazing!! The original coach still has alot of the same layout, they combined a 2nd tiny bedroom and the original bathroom to make that large bathroom. That price is bananas considering she bought the original coach (the renovated structure on the right side) in 84 for $28,000😲 Now Pamela Anderson and Betsy Johnson have homes in this park.
Kerry, you have wonderful content! I've enjoyed all of your videos. And, THANK YOU for helping take the stigma out of mobile homes. I know several people who are tired of being house poor, selling their brick and mortar, and choosing an easier financial life, self included. I just bought a 2002 single wide, already in excellent shape for $20,000. I'm tearing all the windows out and replacing them with huge industrial style ones and then re-side it with eclectic mixed materials, I can't wait til its done! I've gotten a lot of these ideas from your videos, so thanks again.
There are way too many haters. We know you are in Canada and prices are higher. I would never dream of telling you how much it should be. I feel bad that people post complaints. You do a great job. My husband and I are learning so much even though we are in the US.
I loved all the homes you showed. The first Malibu home is beautiful, I had an Uncle that lived on Malibu Beach in the 1960's and it was expensive then.
Hi Kerry, all three houses are nice and that's a hard choice. I have to go with#2 I can't afford any of them but I like the privacy #2 has. To me the price is the owners and no one else's business. As long as the people involved are happy that's all that need to know. Thanks for sharing have a great day
Hello, Kerry. I am doing high end mobile home renovations in Kelowna. I get the same push back on price on my channel. I have pretty much quit talking price. Great channel! Keep up the good work.
@@KerryTarnow Yes, it is pretty crazy! There are only 53 homes like these currently for sale from Lake Country to Peachland. Definitely a seller's market.
I’m late to the party, but thank you for posting this video! The real estate market here in Cali is insane, so it is no surprise that the manufactured homes ( even the not so fancy ones) are selling at high prices too. This is the new reality for first time buyers.
I’ve visited a friend’s brothers redone mobile home in exactly that park- he did his beautifully too. I really like the look of this and the use of 2 single wides instead of one dbl wide, really works for me , as it creates those cool outdoor deck spaces.
I love house number 3 remodel! You are right, that is artistry! I would never have thought to put cream cabinets on a white wall. I would never have thought to make everything so ethereal, weighted down by the gorgeous stained door. I can take a lot of lessons from that house! And I will :-)
Number 1. I own a mobile home in San Juan Capistrano CA and it would be beautiful on my home! I am working now on seeing how to add those touches to mine!!
I've heard of Paradise Cove in Malibu before. Very cool. Very exclusive. Obviously it was started way before the celebrities moved in. I love the third one! Thx.
Thank you for what you do this has been great information for me. I live in the U.S on east coast side my husband and eye are looking for a manufacturer home as a weekend getaway. I'm of the mindset to not be house poor, I want to enjoy other things in life.
Kerry, you do an awesome job! People are people. 😂 😂 Prices change. They depend heavily on location, material, transportation type, and delivery fees. They add a lot to price. Not to mention, the videos stay the same once published and prices change as times goes by. Here is a great idea: “For information on prices, please contact the manufacturer to kill your curiosity.” 😉 End of story. You rock, Dude. We’re buying a 1977 double wide in Northern California. People keep telling us all the things we can’t do to fix it up, thank you for showing all the things that can be done!! Side note. I thought the blue cabinets (kitchen) in the last house would soon look dated. Saw this video is two years old, yep, looks dated already.
Thought I would be looking at Mobile Home renovations affordable to the Middle.Class. I had no idea that there was an audience out there coming to TH-cam looking for million-dollar Mobile Home renovations. Wow! I'll just keep looking until I find some videos more in line with my pay scale.
Exactly right. I just bought a Mobile Home on a very small lot and paid $83,000 for a 1971 Champion. 720 sqft. The mobile itself is a total rebuild. Had it leveled and now taking down all the exterior walls and putting in new insulation and panels. It's a nightmare.
I've seen manufactured homes in Newport Beach CA go for $2M and still have huge HOA and Lot rent. People are shocked in other states to know what prices are for an old mobile home that needs renovated in areas considered location, location, location in different regions of the U.S.A. and amenities. The best thing is there is a mobile or manufactured home in varying $ - $$$$ ranges in an area someplace to be within an affordable price range and renovate as the budget allows.
Good point. I live n California, San Diego county. All homes are expensive here even mobile homes, I do have to say, I’d love having the freedom of living in one and not living a MH COMMUNITY or park as they say. So mortgage AND space rent
Thats true but the mortgage would likely be less because you don't have the cost to buy the land. Depending on land costs MH Communities can be a great option if you run the numbers but it's different in every area. Thanks for watching

For me it was the first one. It would be the third, it's just I can't wrap my head around spending almost 4 million and still probably have to pay lot rent and or HOAs that I would imagine is in the neighborhood of $5,000 and up.

When you become a senior you will like carpet, it's warm, quiet and easy on the aging feet. I'm so over grey weather vinyl plank. It's going to date your home just like Harvest Gold appliances did.
Older people who buy and can afford these homes, may not have the best knees. You said your not a fan of carpet, but if someone has bad knees, carpet is much better to walk on then hardwood floors. I would know, my knees are bad and I'm very grateful my house has carpet.
I like the third one. I am wondering though if the Paradise Cove homes include the land? Malibu used to tax mobile homes on a different scale than a brick & mortar home. Of course “they” didn’t like that & have changed the tax code so of course this is now astronomical.

My understanding is that the land isn’t included.
I looked one of these up on Zillow & in the description it has zero for the HOA fees & I know that can’t be right.
