Thank you for posting this video, very useful for my research. Yes, there were too many sad things happened during the festive season, hope that things will get better in Korea and the rest of the world in 2025 and beyond. Happy New Year!
Sorry to hear about your grandfather-in-law. I'm glad to know you and your family are doing well during this time, supported by your strong foundation in faith. That being said, I really love the new studio look! Your format for these comparisons is really coming together, and it’s inspiring. You've motivated me to drop the ISO on my Pocket 3 to 1600. By the way, I’ve heard the newer batches of the Action 5 have tighter USB-C doors, which is a great improvement. I’ve also come across rumors about a DJI 360-degree camera coming soon-exciting! I'm not too thrilled about the idea of an "Action 6" unless it’s compact like the Insta Go 3s. Then maybe... Anyway, I think this is one of your best camera comparison videos yet. Keep up the great work! And don't stress too much about the views on your standard vlogs-I know how that can feel. If I focused solely on camera reviews, I'd burn out quickly too. Looking forward to seeing more travel videos! I really enjoyed your trip to Thailand content and am excited to see what’s next.
Hey Tim, thank you 🙏 Yeah, it was super sad, but at the same time we are grateful for having him in our life! He was in his mid-90's...so he experienced a whole lot of life! Glad to hear I was able to help you with the ISO Pocket 3 issue. I'm still learning how to use it even though I basically had it since the inception 😂 Yeah, I heard about the 360 camera. Would love to get it, but it has to be a pretty vast improvement on my current 360 camera. Good point about mixing it up with videos. While the camera gear gets more views, it's nice to do other things on the channel!
Thanks for this Adam! I'm in the market for an action camera. Not really interested in the pocket3 since I'm not in the market for a vlogging camera. Surprised to see the results. I prefer the action 5 actually. Much more natural
Hey Noi, yeah...I really enjoy the Action 5. What made me stick with DJI is their fluid integration with the DJI Mic's! The Insta solution is clunky at best. How's the Muay Thai going these days?
@@TravelingAhn That's really good to know! I'm also looking at the Instas, but I'm gravitating to the DJI's. I have the action 2 is it? The square one. I love the look and build of that but I hate the overheating and battery life. I have the additional battery attachment but it makes it super heavy :(
Thank you, I appreciate your kind words and will take your suggestion to heart regarding the location of my commentary. I'll see what I can do with the Action 4.
Man p3 is blowing out all those lights/signs so badly 😢 would love to see this exact test but with the addition of dlog m and exposure down a notch, the a5 looking awesome but would have been better without the gimbal to get a realistic view of what most people would get, would it get micro jitters in low light without a gimbal that would have been good to see from the comparison
Hello, I have done previous tests with the actions not using the gimbal and in a more recent video I did a few examples of just that! Thank you for your thoughts and insights, really appreciate it 🙏
Of course you can simply reduce the ISO/exposure on the DJI Osmo Pocket 3. Also, if you want your face exposed correctly or that bright you'll blow-out the other highlights. If you were just filming the street you'd simply tap once on the brightest sign in the viewfinder which will then sort matters. Of course right out of the box this is what's going to happen but this isn't an out of the box review because the Action Cam is on a gimbal which aids it. Personally I find the Osmo Pocket 3 bundle to be a far superior purchase - it's such a good around setup - with a Mini Pro 4 you've effectively got a full one-man production kit
Normal been better on the OP3. Some of us get too caught in aesthetics. Prioritizing the face is always more important. Just like the story and audio of a video is more important than picture quality.
Yes, when vlogging to capture memories...I completely agree with you that normal color profile exposes the face best! I recommended that setting if you're vlogging or vacationing to capture memories in one of my previous videos! Thank you for your input 🙏
Чтобы судить о вывесках сначала нужно уровнять яркость на тротуаре. Это называется экспозиция. Если на кармане она завышена то конечно в пересвеченных вывесках не останется деталей.
Happy new year! I just bought a Action 4 for Christmas and your videos inspired me to also get a gimbal for it so I can shoot better at night. I hope it will work out well
The comparison of the two cameras should be done as out of the box, not with an added gimbal on the Action 5 Pro. The added gimbal cancels out the internal stabilization, which is the problem producer of all action cameras in low light. The stabilization function degrades the video in low light and this should be shown on the Action 5 Pro instead of using a gimbal to minimize the problem. Very few people will ever use a gimbal on their action camera, and is why the Pocket 3 was designed by DJI in the first place.
Hello Dennis, I appreciate your thoughts regarding the gimbal usage. I have posted previous videos of comparing the pocket 3 with the action five and four without using a gimbal. I like to add variations to my comparisons!
I use my Action 5 with a Hohem gimbal. The Action 5 + gimbal is still cheaper than the Pocket 3. And it means you can turn off EIS and have zero crop, as well as lessening the jumpy lights at night.
Yeah put right but this comparison is really helpful for niche interests! I want to get an action cam fully snowboarding and use it to vlog the rest of my holiday on a gimbal
Hello, I appreciate your thoughts. The purpose of having the Gimbal is to show people the versatility the Action series has over the Pocket if you are unable to afford the Pocket but yet want times when you want the extra smooth video without no micro jitters. And for many people, Action camera's are targeted towards vloggers these days.
Action cameras are not supposed to be used for walking at night as digital stabilisation doesn't really work at low shutter speeds. That said they are cheap and offer good video quality so I don't see why you wouldn't want to put them on a gimbal. Gimbals these days start at 50€, so it's not a huge added cost
You are such a boss for making this vid 🙏🙏🙏
Thank you and really appreciate your comments!
Def DJI action 5 pro ! (Especially working with the D-Log M)😍 Great review
Thank you for your kind word's 🙏

Glad to hear this video helped. Thank you for your kind words 🙏
It is what it is! Happy New Year!
Happy New Year to you too! And thank you for commenting 🙏
Great review! Could you please tell me what stabilization settings you used when shooting with the Action 5?
Thank you! Yes, in conjunction with the Gimbal...I did use Horizon Balancing / Standard (Dewarp).

Nice video sorry for your loss. Maybe the black mist filter can help out with the blowout issue on the p3
Yeah, I should have put that on. I'm thinking of doing another video to iron out the issues 😂
6:14 the focus on the dji is a bit soft on the face
Yes, I agree and thank you for sharing your thoughts 🙏
I am sorry for your loss. ❤ Happy new year!
Thank you Janna 🙏 Happy new year to you too!
Pocket 3 is my go to.. Action 5 is great as well i use it if am attaching it to a bike on rainy days as its waterproof.
Nice, thanks for sharing how you use both!
WTF 31MIN VIDEO, I SAW IT WAS 31MIN AND x the video right away haha, maybe make shorit videos dude
Good point, 👍... I like to share bonus footage at the end 😀
have you tried that Shure mv7 plus mic connected directly to the Osmo pocket 3 like as a quick studio setup? its such a good combo I think
Yeah that's not a bad idea, I'll have to try that out!
Nice video bro. U got a sub
Hi Elijah, I really appreciate it 🙏
very good comparison. please do this with the action 4 as well. action 4 vs pocket 3
also, kindly move your commentator cam on the bottom
Thank you, I appreciate your kind words and will take your suggestion to heart regarding the location of my commentary. I'll see what I can do with the Action 4.

Very good comparison 🫡
Thank you 🙏
Super bro
🙏
I still think I made the right choice in getting the Action 5 Pro.
For sure it's such a great versatile camera!
Вывески на OP3 не размыты, а пересвечены. На кармане нужно -1 поставить компенсацию экспозиции.
Great suggestion, I was actually thinking of doing that! I appreciate it 🙏

Hello, yeah...they both are great to preserving memories with such a small footprint!

Going to Japan to snowboard in Hokkaido
Wow, sounds amazing! Hope you are able to get great videos to remember your trip!

1inch sensor don't lie
Yeah, hopefully the 1inch sensor will be coming to the next iteration of action cameras!
@TravelingAhn yess with significant price up
Using a gimbal for action 5 pro making no sense. It's killing its purpose itself.
