As the mother of a baby who had infantile spasms that were dismissed by the pediatrician and went untreated for weeks, I wish there were more emphasis on the mother trusting her gut and getting her child checked out. Also, infantile spasms are not necessarily rhythmic. They can actually look very similar to the mother’s video. I am glad that this baby turned out to be perfectly fine. But I would encourage mothers to trust their gut and advocate for their child and Request an EEG to confirm.

What did the doctors end up doing? Did they just medicate to stop your baby from spasming? Or did they do something truly beneficial?

Here because the last few days I've noticed (3 seperate times now) my 6 month old woke up shaking. It only lasted a few seconds each time, but in the moment he was quiet but awake, within moments of waking up and he just sort of froze and then got really shaky all over. I've never seen behavior like this with my children (baby is the youngest of 5) so it's got me a bit concerned.

Hy my son fell when he was 5 months old, he showed no signs of discomfort or concussion I only gave him pain killers and he was perfectly fine until now that he is 7 months old his arms and legs started stiffening for a second then he would be fine so now this jerking thing has been happening constantly now 😔😔 I hope it's not seizure

I have been thinking this too. I wouldn't be surprised if it was vaccine linked.

There is no cure for epilepsy unfortunately. I have the condition and have had it since birth. I would love to get rid of it if it was possible. I’m sure he has some great tips on how to manage it though!
