Thoroughly enjoyed this video and it's a perfect example of how bikers interact, they're all willing to lend a hand or offer up advice to help eachother out.
like your video my wife and i were there too had a blast our first time we saw ourselves in video when you were watching the bikes in the black dome we were by the yellow flag i have white beard and she has a burnt orange shirt . next year we will have to say hi
I bought a moped when I was a 14 year old teenager, 25 dollars, from a friend of mine. It looked new, but no one was trying to get it running because the instructions were in Korean, and all the bolts were metric. This was 1978. I had to figure it out and fix it. Basically replaced plug, changed out sparkplug wire, cleaned up the fuel line. It was fun, had a 2 cycle engine. I drove it all over the place, would show up at family houses and they were surprised to see me riding a moped. They all gave me the "how dangerous a motor bike is" speech, my mother especially, thinking it was like a normal motorcycle, but it only did like 30-35 mph downhill. I would have kept it, but the guy who sold it to me wanted to buy it back since I got it running better. I charged him $35. Well, he pulled a fast one on me, he sold right off to another dude for double what I sold it for. I didn't care, got my money back. Coolest thing about it, the spark plug, wire, and entire expenditdure for gas was under 8 bucks total. Plugs were about a dollar back then, the plug wire was about 2 bucks, 2 cycle oil was about 2 bucks. Gas was 79 cents a gallon. it held a gallon. IT got close to 120 mpg, since it was pedal assist. I replaced some bolts because dude was using vice grips instead of getting some metrics to fit the bolts correctly. I couldn't tell you the brand name on the moped, it was pretty obscure. Like something you would buy in FingerHut catalog or Montgomery Wards way back then. I really want a Vespa. Would be very economical to have it now. Good Luck with all the bikes!
Thank you! What a story! We enjoyed having it at Barber and riding it around. It’s super light and easy to ride. This one just needed a little fuel to get it going again.
Im enjoying the longer weekend adventures videos. Keep up the great work. The race bike is so awesome. It would be cool to set up next to the street bike at your show. to see the differences
What a young couple can do with little money and lots of ambition . Keep up the good work and lots of lock. Love the oldsmobile steering on the ford truck 52:02
I'd love to attend one year. Got the bike bug at 13 years old, been through dozens of bikes, mostly barn and pasture finds, rescues, but I have purchased three brand new bikes in my time
It's a great event, if you get the chance to attend its definitely worth the drive. Sweet! That's one of our video wish lists items - to find a motorcycle in the woods or field and bring it back to life again.
It’s a Peugeot “poo-joe”. There isn’t a R in the name. That company makes cars in Europe. Looks like y’all had a great time there. Keep up the great work!!!!!
In 1979 while on sales call for auto test equipment, I spotted an identical green Honda Express in a box at a auto repair shop. The forks were bent as was the frame tube. It had been backed over while parked at curb. I bought it for $35, straightened the forks on a press and notched the frame, rewelded and straightened it. My wife rode it 10K over the years.
Howdy folks! I'm up here in northern Maine and I used to do what y'all are currently doing. Unfortunately, I'm now a disabled Army veteran. I was a Tank commander for many years. I grew up on the family farm and learned about life and how to fix the things in life that make life great! I'll be subscribing and praying for you two! God bless!!
Thank you Bobbie for your service !! Father in law was a farm boy then army and back to farming He never bought any thing new and could fix anything !!
That dude helped lift the second bike into your pickup.
A True Biker.

Thanks! This was one of the coolest things we’ve had.
show the Pacer. Back in the day my friends Mom drove one. I always thought it was cool.
Sweet! I’ll capture it in our next video.
Nice haul, the Peugeot forks look bent unless it's your lens. Some good projects there!
Thanks! I don't remember if they were bent or not, we didn't have it very long until it found a new home.
I had a yellow pacer . I loved it .
Sweet! The pacer is next on our "get it running list".
Congratulations for this Peugeot moped than you catch. Even here in France, it's a bit difficult to found one in the same state.
Thank you!

Daniel and Brittany Anderson, we are located in GA in the US. We will try to keep some feelers out, we run across things from time to time.
Very good except you moved the camera way too fast.
Thanks, we will try to work on that.
yikes, do these have titles?
Ga doesn’t require titles on anything pre 1986. Just requires a bill of sale.
@@ResurrectedGarage ah! good to know!
Be nice to see the prices on bikes. Slow down
I didn't think about that when I was shooting the video, will make note of that for next year at Barber.
Gewoon niet doen kost veel te veel
Yea mate , hoarding all the bargains so no one gets a look
