Harley nowadays ain't what it used to be. back when that's when Harley meant something first Harley-Davidson I ever owned was the 49 Panhead I miss that bike Shoulda never sold it😢
@@CrustyCycle9317 I changed my 49 pan to an electronic ignition and got rid of the points and it would kick over like a moped first try every time I should have kept it I got that bike when I was 20 years old I'm 56 now I sold it when I was 48 the guy I sold it to it's in his garage just sitting there collecting dust😢
And I woulda bought it .Had an '81 , we may appreciate them more now than in the day,although I did ride mine year round up here in Calgary . Sometimes had to let it idle a bit to thaw out the throttle cable .

I haven't heard about flat track racing in Tenino. However, they still race in Rainier, the next town headed north on hwy 507. The swap meet is usually the 3rd Fri and Sat in August, located in the city park.
Maybe it was Rainer? Decades back, So I'm hunting near the Steam Plant and I go to the IGA grocery store in Tenino and in line in front of me was Linda Evans from Dynasty and I recognized her and she was nice and looked great ,she is a goofy Ramtha believer and has a nice spread on the river...

It always works like the flea market. Haul some absolute junk out of the wrecking yard, call it a classic, and charge like it's all in one piece and restored! So many junk yard rejects it's pitiful. And that old Honda near the end wasn't even cleaned up for 3,500! Insanity.
@unionrdr Yes, However, my experience is that if it isn't a smoking deal, it's not gonna sell. Motorcycle swap meats are usually super fun to attend and there's always some kind of good deal hiding in there.You just gotta find it and I think that's the fun part.

The most amazing thing in high school a kid rode a 125 yamaha to school it was a monoshock yz 125 c six speed,he ripped a trench going though all six gear through the soccer field and his dad built the bike to race and the sound was like music ,must have hit nearly eighty...lol.
The buyer on those was waffling at $500. As soon as I heard the asking price and expressed interest, the guy instantly opened his wallet and coughed up the dough!
The 3 obviously non original red dirt bikes are all missing the XR sticker on the side cover's, Could have simply got them reproduced at a good vinyl shop for cheap too & said machines look way better than the obnoxious Chinese knockoff condition there in now a good Chinese knockoff artist can & will make a Chinese knockoff version & it would be hard to spot, But l can smell a Chinese knockoff from miles away.

It would have sold for sure. Shovelheads are good sellers at that event. Usually 3rd week in August, Friday and Saturday.

We sold a fair amount of parts and accessories, but all my bikes came home. Overpriced, British bikes are really soft right now. Next time!
The problem with some of the bikes finding the rest of the parts. Some parts may not exist anymore.
