Plastic man is already a comedic character who breaks the wall here and there, not anywhere near as much as Deadpool but ha has on occasion. On top of that plastic man is not a straight laced hero, he's also an incredibly broken and not all perfect person so you could definitely tell sum sort of comedic r rated film bout him, add sum body horror and I think you got a recipe for success
We'll rly be getting a Plastic Man film before a Green Arrow Film😑 With this said, when I heard about this fan cast I fell in love with the idea immediately! I love Ben! He's a talented voice actor, he does a great job as Sonic and Dewy from the Ducktales reboot, he looks like Plastic Man, he has a voice similar to Plastic Man. If they do introduce Plastic Man in the DCU, call up Ben, I think he'd have a lot of fun with it and he'd do a great job.
I saw Supergirl will be a short tempered not so nice good guy. Where Clark was raised on a farm, she was raised on the remains of Krypton. This makes me glad. Plastic-Man & Clayface being made. It's all just some good decisions that get me curiously excited.
I agree with this... I still think make Plastic Man kind of like Deadpool in that he's comedic, but also kind of like Ant Man in that he's also kind of the likable criminal. I think my pitch is to make him buddies with Dr. Dome, as he fakes being a hero with Dr. Dome being his archrival so that he can scam his way into the justice league and steal from them, but being around them slowly does influence him into being a real hero. (Meanwhile Dr. Dome is kind of this patsy guy that somehow gets in over his head as he gets adopted into the legion of doom and ends up being actually forced to do bad stuff and not just fake it for Plastic Man's fame, all with the hope that Plastic Man will eventually feel fulfilled and rescue him out of that situation). I also wanted to build up the obscure Batman villain Lord Deathman as Plastic Man's real arch nemesis. The pitch for that would be something like the Invincible man vs. the Unkillable man. He would be this edgelord character that wants to treated as the most terrifying villain, but most of the time gets killed in a comedic way, however coming back stronger and more powerful, eventually turning into an evil edgelord Deadpool-like character. He'd be starting out as this crime lord that takes over Plastic Man's old turf and gang, and like Plastic Man, but also opposite, falls his way up, but in the criminal underworld from this Batman villain that Batman doesn't remember into a multiversal or universal level threat that seems way over Plastic Man's head, but at the same time, the villain closest to him in understanding. I also think they could do some funny things with Booster Gold, have Plastic Man discover his secret, but in a way Plastic Man can't out because it would reveal his own secrets. Plastic Man would think that Booster Gold knows he is scamming the Justice League, being from the future so he must know when he finally springs his plan and becomes infamous for what he does to the justice league, leading to Plastic Man scheming ways to get rid of Booster Gold for good and/or having an awkward relationship when around him, but Booster Gold actually just remembers him as another great hero of the Justice League from this time.
my only wish is that a plastic man come fruition. I think the dcu have a wonderful opportunity to bring a belove character to life. he could be the Deadpool of DC studios
I keep hearing alot of actors saying I can play this role... and about a year or 2 later we get these guys with the role. Are actors picking their jobs now? 😂 Director: fu%k it, he said he'll do it... bring him in then 🤪
This movie should have been done years ago, but sadly, Jim Carrey decided to do the mask instead, which don't get me wrong It is a great movie, but let's face it is nothing like what we got in the comics and I'm sure it's not what fans of the comic wanted to see for my mask movie. Also not get upset about changing elements of the character keep telling yourself that. Fans will always get upset when you change an established character no matter how obscure the character is especially if the change is a race swap or a gender swap like they were planning to do a couple of years ago during the DCEU era when they were finally planning to bring the character to the big screen after years of being shelf since the 90's but with the twist that Leslie Jones was attached to play the lead as a gender swap version of the character with the same male codename.
mmmm I think you missed the point a little bit. Making Plastic Man a comedic wise-cracking, 4th-wall breaking, Deadpool-esque character would NOT be changing the character - he was the ORIGINAL of that archtype, created in 1941 by Jack Cole, and doing all that stuff long before Deadpool was around.
Ben Schwartz probably knows the origins of the character, and in saying that it would like DC's Deadpool, was just using a comparison point that most people would understand, to pitch the story tone - NOT to suggest that they would be changing Plastic Man
I'd like to see him play the DCU Plastic Man for sure. I find it hard to believe Kumail is the DCU Booster Gold, he's probably playing another DC character.
Ambush Bug would be more like DC's Deadpool. If DC was smart they could have used Ambush Bug as a way to explain DC's history and why the DCEU is no more but the DCU is a soft reboot.
NO. i dont want ben schwartz as plastic man. i rather have Paul Rudd take the role. Please someone get Jerry Trainer and get him to cut weight to play plastic man.
IF JIM CARREY WAS YOUNG, HE WOULD HAVE BEEN A GOOD CANDIDATE TO PLAY PLASTIC MAN
And Bruce Campbell.
He was actually supposed to play plastic man in the 90s, but he chose to play the mask instead so WB shelf the project indefinitely.

Ok, Ben Schwartz as plastic, I don't mind that. I think it works.

I don't know anything about Ben Shwartz, but the Plastic Man concept, done right, would make a fantastic movie.
I saw Supergirl will be a short tempered not so nice good guy.
Where Clark was raised on a farm, she was raised on the remains of Krypton.
This makes me glad.
Plastic-Man & Clayface being made.
It's all just some good decisions that get me curiously excited.
I would compare him to Mr Fantastic, minus the fact that Plastic man is more comedic. But I kinda see his connection with Deadpool.
I agree with this... I still think make Plastic Man kind of like Deadpool in that he's comedic, but also kind of like Ant Man in that he's also kind of the likable criminal.

It's about time for this underrated hero Plastic Man to be unleashed
I am really excited about the new DCU. Lobo and now Plastic Man.
Schwartz os comic accurate casting.
Ben Schwartz would be great with his comedic chops. But if we get a Plastic Man movie, Danny Devito as Woozy Winks.
Plastic Man is the only DC character I care about, so I'm all for a live action film as long as he's not nerfed.
*Hides my pitch that has him in a civilian identity for an extensive period, limiting his powers by wearing regular clothing.*
my only wish is that a plastic man come fruition. I think the dcu have a wonderful opportunity to bring a belove character to life. he could be the Deadpool of DC studios
MAXIMUM EFFORT!!!!!!!!!!
I keep hearing alot of actors saying I can play this role... and about a year or 2 later we get these guys with the role.
Are actors picking their jobs now? 😂
Director: fu%k it, he said he'll do it... bring him in then 🤪
As long as it''s nothing like CW version from the Flash.
he wasn't in the arrowverse

There's already a DC character who is a comedic wise-cracking 4th wall breaking character - Ambush Bug.
@ДимчоДимов-ж7е Again - Plastic Man was first: he was created in 1941 - Ambush Bug came more than 40 years later, in 1982!
We got Corenswet aka the Superman fancast for years so surely this isn't happen too right?
Have you not watched animated plastic man? He might as well already be that way
I'd like to see him play the DCU Plastic Man for sure. I find it hard to believe Kumail is the DCU Booster Gold, he's probably playing another DC character.
Give it to him or Jerry Trainor 🙏🏽
I like that character. I like that actor. I would want this film.
Ambush Bug would be more like DC's Deadpool. If DC was smart they could have used Ambush Bug as a way to explain DC's history and why the DCEU is no more but the DCU is a soft reboot.
I guess I’m that 3rd fan of Plastic Man😂
Please put Doctor Dome in the film!
Problem is are he is old for this character
I'm a lifetime Plastic Man fan. Lifetime. So there's four lol 😂
Amazing. Sonic 4 can make 2 billion dollars with a pair of sunglasses 😮. Think about it 😎
Who doesn't love Plastic Man?
I think that would be cool
Didn't Ben Schwartz already played the Shapesmith in Invincible?
✊🏿
NO. i dont want ben schwartz as plastic man. i rather have Paul Rudd take the role. Please someone get Jerry Trainer and get him to cut weight to play plastic man.
Fantastic plastic.
But then do you introduce Elongated Man?
I feel like i'm the only one that doesn't like his voice for sonic
