- Welcome back! We're Katie and Cody, a.k.a. Highboy LA! In this video, we’re decorating our client’s 570 sq ft studio apartment. We worked on this project for a total of 3 months, sourcing all of the items (both new and secondhand) and installing/styling everything. What started as a very white and gray blank box turned into a cozy, modern, minimal space with pops of color he can call home. We hope this can serve as inspiration for those living in a studio apartment, or any space that’s in need of some versatility! Hope you enjoy :)

It’s impressive how creative you are to take the place from a white and gray box into a cozy, dimensional space that feels like a home. I’m sure as it gets more and more lived in it will only improve. Something I think could benefit the space is doubling up on the curtain panels so the window area looks and feels grandiose whether curtains are open or closed. Great job!!

hey! our client wanted it blank. he's pretty minimal, and couldn't decide on any art to hang above so he kept it bare for now.

Chyba nigdy nie zrozumiem amerykańskiej potrzeby ustawiania w małym wnętrzu wielkiego łóżka. Są przecież w sprzedaży bardzo funkcjonalne, wygodne kanapy, na których można równie dobrze się wyspać. Ale jeśli już w jednopokojowym wnętrzu musi być takie łóżko, to dlaczego prawie wszyscy amerykanie ustawiają je tuż przy wejściu do pokoju??? Miejsce do spania powinno być maksymalnie odosobnione i przytulne, a nie być centralnym punktem w mieszkaniu
Hi! This is actually quite large for a studio apartment, so we were able to fit a queen bed AND couch (and much more!) with plenty of room. Correct, it’s the first thing you pass when entering the living space. However, all other options meant the bed would be by the window which is very bright and not as cozy for sleeping. We also chose to close off the bed with the shelf/room divider to keep it isolated. The layout we chose provided maximal living area for non-sleeping activities, which is what our client wanted as well 😊

Our client is quite minimal so we hung his artwork and left a lot blank as he preferred!

You leveled that art next to the window but it was way far off to the right wall wtf
The reason we left more space on the left is because when the right curtain panel is gathered it lays on that wall. We wanted the art to appear centered from that setting.
