This is it. The game that re-introduced me to Puyo Puyo Tetris.
27:51 is an unused Genesis rendition of the Kraftwerk song Home Computer, scrapped due to licensing reasons
beginning of 09:10 is absolutely a bit of Home Computer too
Was used on the game gear
What would be great is to pick the best of Puyo Puyo and this version and make an ultimate soundtrack out of them.
One of the few specifically-America-oriented video games on the Sega Mega Drive that didn't use GEMS for its music.
Yes, I know this is a licensed mod of the Japan-exclusive Puyo Puyo on the Mega Drive, but Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine was not released in Japan.
By the way, the japanese gaming community dubs this game Dr. Eggman's Mean Bean Machine (Dr.エッグマンのミーンビーンマシーン) (Eggman is what Robotnik was called in Japan and still is, expect Robotnik is his real name).
The modification was made in Japan though, which kinda explains the unuse of the GEMS driver.
Sonic 3D, a british developed game used SMPS, the music was composed by a Japanese person tho.

Not a person, but basically a good chunk Sonic Team sound team.
The game had no obligation to had such awesome music
That bass and that drum is, oh, so good.
catchy bass
and also, another congrats on 3k subscribers
I have to say this one really grew on me after a few listens over the last year. Even the PCM drums, as crunchy as they end up being...
i always loved this game’s soundtrack, it had such a charm about it. especially the 2 player vs. theme.
SnooPING AS usual, I see!
PINGAS
The Tip is, always buy new shoes in the afternoon after your feet have expanded
gotta love them interruptions in the samples
Hi :)
3:58 is str8 fire.
32:13 couldve been used for the Excercise Theme (First Few Levels) And then when the Level Increases they would use Sticker of Puyo Puyo
The staff roll Gives me a Starfy Vibe
1:14 sven coop
10:22 unreal tournament 2004
i exzpeirience memory
Gives me some Dynamite Headdy vibes.
The DAC interruption made the samples sound better because it pretty much distorted the samples.
It did, but arent the samples the sc55 power kit? They have to be.. How would you replicate it with hq samples?
@@DMARtunes The SC-55 Power kit is a pled from the Roland R-8 drum kit, so you could use the original samples, remove the interruptions, and get your high quality sample.
@@nic0vide0 This makes sense, but also.. The distorted quality of the sample compression gives the effect of tons of reverb and compressor, don't know if it's just me.
27:51 its a cover of Home Computer - Kraftwerk
When you just wanna have a nice Puyo match but Robotnik shows up
Robotnik from Aosth is the best character.
"Brave" technically DID get used... but only the first few seconds and looped for Stage13 intro...
Can you do Whirlwind from Shinobi III Return of the Ninja Master for Genesis?
I’m not taking requests right now because my request list is full. Sorry for the inconvenience.
I heard that this game uses noriyuki iwadares Cube Sound driver
Should've used this driver for US titles instead of GEMS.

This actually uses the SMPS I think.
