As somebody who's just getting into the game but not new to TCG in anyway, this video was great! I love how you really leaned into Iden and used your standing in the community to prove her viability and worth in meta. When I published my very early version of the “Sabine Killer” deck (seeing the potential against Sabine at that time) shortly after she was revealed, the early consensus was she was a trash leader - wow how times have changed! Good stuff 👍

I've been playing a krennic version of Iden control. I don't have any vaders, so I've just been playing into relentless, walker, and just put an Avenger in there. Kinda made it my own, put 2 search your feelings to get cards I need late game. Gideon has been added, he pairs well with energy lab. Allowing me to get counters on other units. I didn't want to copy the meta, and it's been a lot of fun:]
Well done. Just ripped two boxes so gonna try to build the Boba Meta deck. Did get the Legendary Hyperspace Boba, two Leader Hypers, and a Han Solo showcase. No Legendary Vader unfortunately.

The only suggestion I would make on the iden deck is removing the 1 main decked Traitorous and putting it in your sideboard and main decking 1 "Search your feelings" instead. I do understand that by removing traitorous for this you are missing out on a possible body but 1-of in a deck is not really viable unless the card can make sense. Since search your feelings is a tutor, it basically adds to anyone of the other cards in the deck (acting like a duplicate) which makes it act as a better 1-of. Also, in order to make room in the sideboard for the 2nd traitorous (total 2 in sideboard) you can remove any one of the cards you run 2 of that you feel is the weakest in your sideboard since if you do side in the 1 copy (meaning you removed the other copy) the "Search your feelings" can act as a secondary copy of the sideboarded card. plus, it is 1 less mana

I’ve been pretty hyped about this game. Luckily got ECL in my prerelease and it did amazing w Vader. I’m gonna try to make Boba midrange and collect the rest of what I need to finish it
I actually prefer leia aggro to Sabine. It’s like 90% the same deck but I much prefer her ability since it helps you get initiative and defeat opponents units before they have a chance to use them. I think that boba green is just the best deck flat out. I don’t have any experience with iden which is its counter but I really like both boba and leia with the energy conversion. My two favorite builds so far.
I've been running a Boba aggro deck and killing it against the starter decks. I need to add these to the ai and play against them and see how it holds up.
The green is definitely the best but the red provides counterplay as you can tarkintown what they ambush in. There are some viable decks running the Tarkintown that we will cover.

I haven't tested this yet but I've been telling people they could go a little more aggro, use mercenary company in the Vader spot and use some four power guys like gammo guards and swoop racer to make your Overwhelming Barrages hit for 6 quicker

Hi! I have a few questions: How do you decide what cards to make your resources? I know it depends on your hand and your draws, but are there cards that you are quicker to resource than others? Also, with Iden, her card states “heal 1 damage from your base” if your base is at full health can you gain extra HP? Thanks for the video! I have only played prerelease and watching this has helped me understand the game a lot better!
Thanks for the questions. Resource decisions are hard and usually matchup dependent but if you have something you think won’t impact the game or a redundancy of drops I’d start there. Keep practicing and you’ll get the hang of it. We’ll cover that in more depth hopefully soon. For iden she does not get extra HP over the base
You are allowed a 10 card sideboard to alter your deck in between games of a match. Your deck has to go back to the original list in between rounds but after games 1 and 2 you can use the sideboard cards to help fight different strategies.
I'm working on an actual control deck right now that runs no units. Curious if anyone else has tried a real control deck yet with no creatures in it. We have enough removal and card draw etc to pull it off I believe with Sabine leader as your win con. Blue base. And all events

To be honest it's great to be able to have these early debates about the meta because the developers and design of the game is so well balanced. It's rare to have such a good game that comes down to the "pilot" rather than the "This is the only deck to play to win..."
playing at my shop today, I pretty much built the control deck, without seeing this list. The vader is gonna be a hard one to acquire, I've seen 3 in 2 cases so far.
I thought the green land was the best because it gave you a free unit. Unfortunately all it gives is ambush, which is good, but 5 cost to your base is hard to make up for

It’s interesting how aggro is always the “cheap” deck to build. And mid range and control piles will have you taking out a 2nd mortgage. I’m a little bummed by ECL honestly. It’s clearly the best base and it’s not even close. Sabine yellow has cool tricks but you don’t get ECL. This isn’t to say ppl won’t play off ECL ever just that you really have to find something very powerful to want to try.
I have been playing green Boba with the cards I own. 97th is SO GOOD. I did win the first prerelease tournament with Blue Boba. But I have only been playing a common 30 HP base. Is the single ambush really worth it to lose 5 HP?
Can you really play Boba Fett while your leader is Boba Fett!? Both are unique, aren't they!? So you're supposed to control only one at a time. Which is always your leader. Or am I missing something!?
I abhor that all new tcgs now have DAY 0 META shenanigans, sure energy conversion lab is good but you're shoving in green to justify its existence, it makes that aggro deck actively worse. Just play double red and win with the give everything raid 2, it's much faster.
I appreciate the feedback but you have it backwards. The green is to turn out ambush overwhelm units into burn spells, and gives us battlefield marine and a 4/3 sentinel. Rallying cry is too slow in a race, bc other decks will get to 25 faster than you can attack with everyone and control decks are actively keeping your board size small which makes rallying cry bad there too. I'm sorry you hate a DAY ZERO META but we've been playing for months.
Bobba will be banned SOOO quickly he's broken beyond belief, he has more stats on turn 5 (11 total) than any other 5 cost leader (which are 9 total), he's even better than some 6 costs. He's just too much.
@@SWU_KTOD Just stats wise there's something wrong with boba, some decks can handle him depending on RNG, but just the stats and effect alone need an errata or ban imo.

That's often what I do. The AI makes some really bad plays, but it can be good to understand how your deck works

Haven't seen many successful chewie decks because he deploys so late in the game but he's a beast with some upgrades

First of all need to get that many cards… I opened 2 displays and 1 prerelease box… no luck…

Yeah it's a little confusing at first but when you see how strong ambush can be it makes a lot of sense

In premier you play best 2 of 3. You have a 10 card sideboard and can make changes in between the games of a match.

I think it is often well worth the ambush. You're able to kill a unit before it can get buffed and do a lot more damage.
