This video is a great reminder that opening boxes is worth as much as you are preppared to lose if you're just going for the monetary value. But if you go for gameplay then it can be much more worth it!
Im new to TCGs and I decided to pull the trigger and buy a box, I’m not thinking on the value side. I just want fun cards to make some cool decks, with that in mind I think I made a good decision 😊 I will grab my stuff today 😁
@@inj3ction Man enjoy that feeling, its so easy once you've bought and played for a while to rate a box on the money value of your pulls rather than what you got out of it. I see boxes as not only a way to get cards but also as an experience. I just love sealed in a lot of tcgs.
what I enjoyed the most of your video is something long gone from players of any TCG/CCG/LCG: enjoying the will of randomness when opening a booster pack. Being like a kid upon the great door of wtfuckness and having fun about it. Thank you for the vid@@Doddleran
This is by far my favorite Star Wars: Unlimited box opening. Your advice was insanely helpful, and this is definitely pushing me to buy a box since I value the opening experience and building decks over making my money back. I was really hesitant at first about buying a box, but your commentary was really insightful! Can't wait to get my first box!
Was thinking about buying a BB for a while and this convinced me to ask about it at the local card game store. Couple of guys were playing it so I bought one and joined them. Ended up pulling a foil XSOR command, Mace Windu, Vigilance, and TWO Vaders, one of which foil. I have never been this lucky with pulls in anything haha. Thanks for an informative video!!
I’ve only ever open boxes for TCG for gameplay value. The fun of opening boosters, the chance of seeing cool cards. I know that more often than not, I won’t “make money” back on the box, but I’m not selling these cards. I’m building decks and collecting them.
thanks for being honest about box openings, that being said, the only way youre reasonably going to get a nice showcase is getting lucky in an opening, the good showcases are way too high rn
I wish I could enjoy the experience. All of San Antonio has been out of stock for awhile. Hopefully I will be able to get a couple in the future. Would love to play the game even more beyond the starter decks. Great video, thanks a bunch
My first box was the first one legendary box I've seen/heard of. Still haven't heard of another yet either. Really frustrating but even more strange since the basement in all early opening videos and testimonials has been two legendaries per box. So weird.
I enjoy opening packs most with people; I'm really excited to try a SWU draft with a booster box. Splits the cost of the box but lets you pick from more cards than sealed (which is fun too).
They are meant to make it harder to counterfeit the more valuable cards - rares, legendaries and showcase cards. They also appear on common leader cards, but probably only because of how things lined up on the print sheets with the rare leader cards.
@@rubinpolizzi146 Without knowing the card name, it's hard to say, but I think the "rares" that are included in the starter decks don't have the holograms, whereas the same card in the booster pack has a hologram. Fixed rarity version isn't the same rarity.
Starter decks are a great way to start playing right away, and to see if you like the game without paying much. However, if you are familiar with TCG's, don't mind building decks before you get to play, and you are confident you like the game, I prefer booster packs. I have starters and boosters available at mastersetmadness.com/star-wars-unlimited If you need anything or have more questions about where best to start, email me at mastersetmadness@gmail.com and I'll try to help you out.
I believe that it is worth buying a box. If you buy individual single cards with this game, you're spending a whole lot more money. If you get any extras, that can help you build extra decks.
I opened up a box today. pulled a luke my first pack along with another legendary and a han leader in that same pack. I ended up getting 5 legendaries in the entire box so I’m psyched to start getting into deck building.
I cracked two boxes and ended up pulling a Showcase Sabine Ren. Also getting my friends to try it out with the starter decks and going to start to build a few decks with the other cards pulled!
Thats like 3 per box, there are 16 of them. You would need to open a ridiculous amount of boxes (like 3-4 cases) to get all your playsets. Definitely a singles game. Unless youre chasing showcase cards or master sets no reason to do sealed.
Any booster is a lottery ticket, is it worth it? well it's worth it in the same way that gambling on anything is. You should never open a box if all you care about is building a deck, boosters are gamba, if you want a deck to play with, buy singles.
Really depends on if they plan on reprinting the set, if not, I'm buying a bunch of this game because the gameplay is fantastic and it will be a great investment unless they just keep reprinting it
without even watching the video, I've spend 91 EUROS AFTER TAXES AND DELIVERY FOR A BOX SO 3.79EUROS a pack vs regular 4,90 euros a pack yeah it's worth it, tho I didn't have many luck with my opening
Nope. Game is horrible, Art is trash. Nothing to see here. As soon as they move to Disney Start Wars, game is dead for sure LOL Just another Star Wars collectible game failure. They should have just reskinned Marvel Champions for a sure fire hit.

I’m having a blast just watching you rip a “bummer box”. The art has definitely grown on me
I've opened a few more bummer boxes.
The packs for this TCG are awesome. I got crazy lucky: The Darth Vader hyperspace, and showcase palpatine (all in ONE box!).
I'm having a ton of fun opening these packs.

This is the most level-headed “should you buy a box” explanation I’ve heard

I'm all for taking a chance with a box to hit big. :)
That first Box was crazy - i opened one today with only 2 Legendarys - but it had a crazy booster with 4 Rares at least.

I hear ya, will be nice when there are more set 1 boxes at the end of the year. Looks like set 2 will be fun also!
Loved your video and was nice to see you breakthrough it! Really nice pulls 😊

Sorry that you got that box :(
I like the variance with the cards. You can pull your favorite card as a hyperspace, foil and if it is a leader showcase.
The hyperspace cards are very nice!
Great TCG , really enjoyed. Do you ship overseas from your website? I couldn't tell if yes or no. Thank you
Unfortunately I can only ship Star Wars products in the US.
@@mastersetmadness Oh sad, I couldn't find any boxes at all here. Even the new set can't preorder yet. Hopefully I can get a deck together.

Limited is a ton of fun!
you've got an extremely calming voice and a great cadence!
Out of a box of shadows of the galaxy, I pulled the showcase gar saxon
What do the little holograms on bottom mean? Some have them and some don't.

Nice boxes super stoked to open mine.
Let me know what you get!
Nice Jabba pull.
That first pack was nutty
do ppl still trade anymore in tcgs? im out of touch with that
When pokemon tcg first came out , it doesnt carry much value but then today they can worth alot. Might keep a box unopened for future
It's always nice to keep at least one box sealed.
this new tcg looks awesome!
Awesome pulls
Man said one in 8 packs is a legendary, that’s literally insane pull rates
