I’ve opened 9packs and I’ve gotten darth vader, cunning, hyperspace foil millennium falcon, a mother ledge derby u wing re enforcement, the rare he pulled that was worth 11 and 3packs of the 2nd set and got Kyle ren and a hollow dark saber idk what my luck is but the cards I’ve got is worth over 300 when I’ve only spend like 100 pounds on it
Second best box I've ever seen, I had one with a showcase, a vader and a boba but most of mine have been garbage, barely scratching half their value. It's very spikey.
I opened two two days ago with only 3 legendaries and no Vader, boba or luke I’ll probably post those with the value counter to so folks get a sense of the good and bad. I agree though you can have some wild boxes and some really rough ones especially with current prices.
@@PhilosopherCards Totally, prices are spiking all over the place, like luke is actually tanking a little bit but on the flipside dark is spiking even more it's bonkers. His foil hyper is worth more than showcases
APR 18th 2024 = Vader 100 Luke(HP) 140 Vigilance 30 K2S0(F) 16 U-Wing 10 7th Sister 7 MaceW 18 emperor = Total $328 The Luke pack was a 170 dollar pack.
I got a booster pack that came with the right amount of cards, but one of them had a full black front with the word DISCARD on it. Apparently its like a "warning card" the printers make after a batch is done or something. The question is, is it worth anything or was I robbed of 1 playing card 😅?
Oh that is worth something in misprint groups on Facebook - I'm not an expert in that world but it could be a 100 bucks to even 1000s depending on the set and the pattern 😊 congrats on the pull I've never pulled one!
Hyperspace don't count towards the allotted rarity. So if you get a hyperspace Rare or Legendary then expect to get another Rare or Legendary in the same pack. It is possible to get 3 Legendary in one pack - 1 regular, 1 hyperspace, 1 foil
I know, I’m not going big on Star Wars like I’m 20 foils from a full beta set and I plan to continue going very heavy in sorcery. - I’m not committing to anything here with Star Wars, however the game play is fun.
@@PhilosopherCardsyeah, i will finish my sorcery beta non foil set, and that’s the only one i am after next to mtg atm. my tcg box of shame is too full already 😂
The fact that this first set wasn't branded as ALPHA set and ain't limited print run but still sells only proves people are really buying it and playing the game and not just HOARDING.
I actually sell on tcgplayer! Fees on starwars are around 12%. I always try to break even after fees as a min, but in star wars case I have been actually making money!
I use tcg player because that's where I sell. For a game like this I'll either grab the lowest list or the market price in the case of Vader the market is under the lowest because the price is rising so fast so I'd grab lowest
@@PhilosopherCards I think it’ll do fine. I just think some of the cards of a just released game going for $500 is way higher than the true market value of those cards. I’d think in a year you’ll be seeing them for $100. I think the strategy is to sell those cards right now at top dollar and use those funds to buy the next set and so on. Once a bunch of those cards are out in the wild over the coming months and years they’ll decrease in price and you can pick them up cheaper to complete your sets.
Hi , new subscriber here I am enjoying your content and I have a question/request Would it be possible to do a quick video on how to sort and store all these cards ? I am new to ccg’s and this game
Thank you! I've actually had quite a few folks reach out and ask to see more behind the scenes type work. I sell a lot of volume on TCG and efficiency is key. I'm talking I fulfill roughly 40,000 orders annually! I'll see if I can put something together. Folks would be SHOCKED to see how little space I require to ship 40,000 orders.
Before they came out I was thinking of collecting them as I do with MtG, but I find the cards so ugly. I always enjoy a good pack opening video though, cheers and thanks
If they build on the animated series like this first set from most rebells, they will also find the Collectors fans. Haters love to see this one fail, its most of their living. LOTR had no good history either but was one of Wizards most selling sets. If you think they loose Money you have no idea What an strong IP does , they can fail on one bransch and another grows out.
Definitely leans player friendly over collector. And thats great since thats rare for tcgs these days 😂
I love the value counter :)
I opened up a second box today. Got the same legendaries but not complaining since I got a second luke.
First box. I got showcase palpatine, vader, boba and luke. I was dumbfounded. Palp is going for around 400 currently
I have had the worst boxes ever. I am mad you got that lucky but also good for you
Showcase Vader and Luke 😅
@@rec1pher no only palp was showcase. I freaking wish
They definitely look cool. Thanks for sharing

Loving the game so far :) it has been great to us 🎉 tons of fun to play!

Yeah I was watching prices a little - if the management makes the right moves this game could do really well
The statement about hyperspace Luke aged like fine wine. Also that was a 100 dollar value pack cause HP Luke AND that Vigilance
🔥 I have one more sealed box left I was contemplating cracking for may the 4th!

That’s crazy. I have one box unopened I feel the urge to crack it

i’m still refusing to start another tcg, but it looks cool 😁👊🏻!
I feel the same

It's worth it. Super fun. Also easier to get friends who dont play tcgs to play compared to MTG because it's not as convoluted and intricate.
I’m just getting into it. Does it still seem to be holding its popularity?
I've exited a bit due to the bannings, and the printing behaviors, but its a great game
really fun game/art. Doing strong so far!
There might be a lot of sellers right now, each inflating the prices, but will there be long term buyers and players is the real question
I think the next few sets have to be very successful or else everything can fizzle quickly. I agree
The fact that this first set wasn't branded as ALPHA set and ain't limited print run but still sells only proves people are really buying it and playing the game and not just HOARDING.
after Ebay fees assuming you actually sell the cheaper cards you might be aat break even !

Hyperspace foils = Awesome!
It’s just new game hype. In a year these prices will all be a fraction of what they are today.
Maybe! But I hope it does well. A rising tide rises all ships

@@PhilosopherCards Awesome I will look forward to it 😃
It might take me a little while, but I’ll do it
Something has to happen.... Either the cards go down or the boxes go way up. Infinite ev glitch 😂
Hahahaha I know right! It’s broken…
it is a good game the game play could be a bit better but over all i like it i think the game could last at least 2 possibly 3 years

🔥🔥thank you!!
Oh man, I think they look awesome save for a few like chewie and han
Showcase takes the spot of ur leader so it's the very first card. I pulled 2 in 2 boxes. It was crazy. My pulls will never get better than that
Thanks for telling me, I’ve been curious and haven’t seen one pulled. You pulled 2 in 2 boxes!?
@PhilosopherCards ya it was insane. Pulled cassion n thrawn. 1 in each box
Should of just not opened the box at all and sat on it
I am sitting on some but have bad outlook right now
all be worth zero in 2 years. lol
Star wars tcgs haven't had a great track record. Lol very true
