    Thanks for this video. Just replaced my battery yesterday by watching your tutorial. Same battery wasn't available, but searching for "corsair battery" on Amazon, I was able to find what I needed.

    Worked for me too! So glad you went out of your way to post this. I have yet to test the battery life vs. the new 1800 mAh on the one I found recommended in the affiliate link (the directly linked item was out of stock) which is currently charging but I doubt it could be worse. I was getting maybe 20 minutes of battery life and the thing looked like a pillow when I pulled it out. Thank you!!

    Thanks for the walkthrough! I almost took the wrong cup off, thinking the battery would be by the charging port lol. Ordered a battery off amazon and it fit perfectly in the tray, though the wires come out of the corner and I had to finagle them a bit to get them to fit correctly (even though the tray is designed for this as well). Battery life of this new battery doesn't seem as great as the OEM one, but that's okay; these were going in the trash otherwise. This should help me get a few more years out of this headset! Thanks again!

    Great video as always. Easy to follow.

    • @KNTech
      @KNTech  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Donut Dude. thanks for the comment. yeah, it will be ok as the as the plastic shield is there to hold the battery and allow it to be removed easily, double sided tape on the inside of the ear cup is fine as it will not move, but it will make it more tricky to remove the new one, but I'm sure we will come to that in another couple of years.

    Since the old battery was puffed up even thicker than the replacement battery, why would the new battery be too thick to fit back into the ear piece? What am I missing?

    • @KNTech
      @KNTech  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Dave, I think the issue was the only double sided tape i had was the thick foam style tape which added to the thickness of it all, and don't forget that as it puffed out it will have expanded out the battery holder that was screwed in, and it will have reverted when the battery was removed. If you had thinner double sided tape it will have more than likely fitted. Thanks for the comment

    I get about 4 minutes per % charge between (5 and 6 hours usage), but I notice the battery percent drops from 100 to 88 almost within the first minute of unplugging it. As fast as I know, the replacement batteries sell on amazon Brasil. I would not recommend using a soldering iron on any battery as you can damage the cells with heat. Try and get the battery with same connector as the headset, and it’s easy to switch them out.

    I have corsair void and hs70, the battery life is only about 2 years... Now I'm re thinking about buying wireless headset anybrand more than 100 dollars

      I'm not sure about the HS70. but the void pro should be at least 10-12 hours, depending on if you have RGB on. I can see why you might be put off investing again. Hope you fond something that works for you.

    This might sound stupid... But couldn't the battery explode...? and like, take your dam ear off?

    • @KNTech
      @KNTech  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I guess technically yes, but i would imagine that battery manufacturers have to comply with construction requirements to ensure that they are safe to use, interesting thought though.

      @@KNTech i guess, but if they're products aren't designed to last which could make people throw them away before they have a chance to explode lol, also they might say tampering with the headset played a factor in it

      @@whatsupgamers4938 I hear ya. That said, would replacing one sealed unit with another be counted as tampering? Manufacturer would likely say yes, but right to repair campaigners would likely say no. It's still well worth thinking about before anyone begins repairing things if they are not comfortable with though.
