Will carry on the legacy until Covid-19 and beyond! My cousin hid this band from me just because I love metal and he knew I would love this band and he fucked around with this for 2 months! 🤣Love him still and definitely JFAB!!!🤘🤘🤘
Ruination is my favorite because of the death metal aspect like @riffking719 said 7 years ago up there. It's almost my favorite album of all time, but there's so many other bands filling the headspace it's crazy. Obviously Entombment of a Machine is a classic banger
I saw them at a local spot called "the pit" in my hometown around the same time, was literally like an abandoned warehouse type deal lol anyway, their guitarist broke a string and played through the rest of the set. And vocals dude was hanging from the steel beams on the low ceiling by his knees. I fell in love immediately. We had other "meh" bands mostly play there. Like underoath, burry your dead, and dr. Acula.
Jabronie Johnson its true. in this type of vocals you have 2 routes to take. either work on enunciation and make the words sound clearer, or you can focus more on power and tone and lose some of that clarity. I personally can dig both ways
Jabronie Johnson Actually Jonny purposefully enunciates stuff weirdly on purpose, it really is what makes him stand out as a vocalist. Theres plenty of brutal yet easy to understand vocalists out there, however pronunciation and enunciation actually have an absurd effect on how "brutal" vocals can sound. Gotta remember Jonny uses like 12+ different vocal techniques in every song compared to most vocalists hitting 2-3 lol...
I have to sing a cover of this, its for my mate, and i have to say, this dude singing patterns are strange..... Its like he wrote the lyrics and made it fit in with the song, like really pressed them in there.....
"Because unlike most vocalists, he doesn't really try to annunciate the words. He's mentioned so in a couple interviews as well. But who cares when they're so vicious." Does anyone remember matthew chalk from psycroptic? Favourite singer that bloke....
Can’t believe how underrated this band is for having a clean production (sounds pretty nice to this day) and a deathcore reputation and it gets entire communities to overlook a band with such a distinct and heavy sound. Back then they sounded so impressive live, couldn’t believe how powerful it felt even among other bands in the same vein.
no way, their stuff get's better with age, love doom, genesis topped it by being darker heavier and more brutal, and now their even better, the guitars are sicker, its just amazing
they weren't deathcore at this point. this is death metal obviously. THE ONLY deathcore they ever put out was doom lol (yes, this is sad as fuck you posted that comment TWELVE years ago! I can't believe time goes so fast)
i saw job for a cowboy at red 7 in austin like a year or two ago..and that place is small as hell like a 2 bedroom apartment size and it was intense as shit!
Fair enough. Anyone can have a bad day. A lot of people who have met Rob Zombie I hear say he's either super chill or can be a bit of an asshole. It depends on the person. It's just a personal pet peeve of mine when an artist can't/doesn't appreciate their fans for pretty much paying to go see them, and buy their stuff at their shows, and supporting their obvious passion for performing music. You can't force a person to be more friendly or not, but it's just a shame when someone isn't.
God these guys have come such a long way since DOOM. Genesis wasn't bad, but it was SO GENERIC. None of the songs really stood out. But Ruination on the other hand. Greatest album so far. This song has really catchy parts as well. Great band, great song, great album. Only thing I can think of that can be as good as this is The Black Dahlia Murder's new album Deflorate. Epicness in a can.
still my fav album, besides genesis. Just straight forward death metal with that unique JFAC groovy note. Im missing this kind of power in their last two LPs. Anyway JFAC is the only band which survived my deathcore holiday back in 2008... I also like Doom although deathcore overall, sucks:)
Deathcore is basically dudes trying their hardest to sound brutal and heavy and end up creating a bunch of fast boomy sounds(Infant Annihilator). Thank God JFAC went into a different direction, their music is more dense because of it.
@ProgThrasher6666 right. job for a cowboy has gotten more technical from their previous albums, but just because their material varies from other artist like you stated "Deicide", doesn't make job for a cowboy a technical death metal band.
Job for a cowboy- ruination= Ruin A Nation. This politic album is so dope.bought it when released shortly after buying Genexus on cd. -R% Nitrous Demomusic
Well, deathcore is influenced by modern death metal in its speed, heaviness, and approach to colorful, mostly palm muted riffing and dissonance. Traditional death metal growls and screaming are usually used and sometimes metalcore yelling or shouting vocals are included and overlayed along with the growls. "Much of deathcore features breakdowns and melodic riffs common in metalcore." (found that part on Wiki haha) That still sounds like it could be a little vague, but if you listen to Job For a
I don't know man. A lot of people here in AZ who knew the band before they got big often say the band members were assholes. Maybe it's just their singer Johnny.
Yeah, I'm really honestly done arguing over JFAC's genre. If people want to think it's deathcore, good for them. If people want to think it's whatever else they call it, good for them. Thank you for letting me see that it's pointless to argue with people like that.
well i think a name like this gives the band attention, it's a good way to advertise. imagine you never heard the band before, and then you hear someone talking about a death metal band called job for a cowboy. it would compell you to at least give them a liste. then you hear the music, hear how awsome it is and keep listening to the band
The world so needs these guys back.
They have a new album recorded recorded a new drummer!
@@JohnDoe-mv2be that's great to hear dude 😀 👍
And change their stupid band name
Their name is great. Its fir me. But they should have leaned a little more to the technocal side
this band started to be the next Tool i guess,
"What do you want for Christmas?"
Me: I'd like Job For A Cowboy to come back
If they would come together and play Sun Eater in it's entirety live, they could end CoVid-19!!!
WE NEED YOU MORE THAN EVER, JFAC!!!!
they just announced a couple of days ago their comeback with a new album
I saw when it was just announced and I literally cried 😭
its gonna be insane, cant wait
Seriously... If I had to choose World Peace or JFAC... We'd all be getting a new album.
These dudes were a shotgun blast to the metalcore/death metal genre, influenced its current sound, and then dipped the fuck out. Legends.
Yes we do, especially after TBDM lost their lead man.
They're recording a new album right now!!! They're finally back 😤🙏🙏🙏
I felt the pain on this here. But they're back and fucking ruling it
@@gabrielmendez5655couldn’t have said it better man, sooo glad they’re back and I’m loving the new music. Hope they keep going!
@@keatoncollins2013 Hell yeaaa. I'm so ready for a concert.
I was at this show! It was actually crazier than the video portrays it.
Did they cover smash mouth?
Did they cover Tally Hall?
2019 and still beautiful.
during f-word Pandemic and still beautiful.

this dudes growls are phenomenal

One of my favorites 💜
Try Cattle Decapitation
His vocals are SUPER overly produced on this album tho. Not saying he's a bad vocalist, it's just from the production standpoint it's so overdone.
Logie He’s one of the best imo
I have yet to hear a live concert where he doesn't sound disappointing. But I haven't searched all that much, so maybe I'm wrong
2021 and still jamming to this tune :) it’s a good one. I’m so showing my kids this band in the future.

The Necrophagist is strong with that opening riff

The crowd looks like they're just having a genuinely good time. I like it.
I was there at the first Unitarian church in philly, i also have that redbull can on the amp signed by the band
One of my fav drum intros of all time. What a hectic song!
Can't believe it's already been a decade since this came out.
I got to meet them in Tucson when they opened for Kittie in 2006. Never heard of them before that. It's amazing how they got so big so fast.

I didn't understand why they switched to Death Metal. And looking back on it now I'm like wow they kick ass
that's easy, because deathcore sucks ass.
@@helltrack876 Thank you!
There are some good deathcore bands, but death metal is way better so it's not hard to say why they swiched genres.
JFAC in "Core scene" Gods, in Metal scene r.i.p. totally devalued.
Singer still singing parts with "Core" volcals...
Because they love death metal obviously
I've been listening to these for years, I have such a hard time understanding him still.

How could I ever forget this band.. This song..
I'll say it: RUINATION is the greatest death metal album of all time.
