      @@jonathanmellqvist2 yea thats not true at all, dude had a successful tour with Behemoth, they dont let anybody waltz in and substitute for Inferno on a tour. Hes literally able to learn entire sets on short notice and still kill it. Also he has some of the cleanest fills in the game so idk about this sloppy nonsense.

    I love how he can still keep everything so clean while he looks like he's actually enjoying playing the song. I find a lot of blast beat drummers to look so robotic that they don't even look like they are enjoying what they are playing. I understand that they are playing super fast beats but at least show some feeling when the song breaks down.

      He is good and has his own unique sound, but i would not say he is the best. George Kollias for example is a way better. Also former Decapitated drummer, Vitek (R.I.P) was a lot better than Charn is

    That whole drum part is a song within a song, incredibly musical for such a brutal performance. Maybe JFAC were really too damn good to last long, just like Necrophagist, but their classics will be not only remembered forever, but honoured and held godlike forever too. And yes, The Charn deserved way more personal fame than he got. What a freaking butcher!

    Another note on drum triggers. They're also used to pick up fast double bass patterns, cause once you hit the 200-260bpm mark it becomes extremely difficult for mics to pick up each stroke. Also if you're playing that fast the strokes are not going to have a whole lot of power behind them, so they're not as pronounced, and that's where the triggers come in so you can here the very fast/soft strokes being played. But that's not to say that there aren't drummers who use them for shortcuts.
