"‘The Agony Seeping Storm’ gives a slice of our upcoming concept record. Regarding the video, the band collaborated extensively with director K. Hunter Lumar (Digital Mile), while our bassist, Nick Schendzielos, co-directed. The concept was inspired by a close friend who embarked on a relentless quest for profound enlightenment through the incessant abuse of hallucinogenic drugs. However, as they delved deeper into their religious-like experimentation they began exhibiting symptoms of bipolar disorder and schizophrenia. They came to believe that they could access an alternate, esoteric reality through hallucinogenic intoxication, where they encountered gnostic and biblical figures and imagery. These songs reflect their thoughts, ideas, and experiences.” - Jonny Davy
JOB FOR A COWBOY:
Jonny Davy - vocals
Al Glassman - guitar
Nick Schendzielos - bass
Tony Sannicandro - guitar
Drums performed by Navene Koperweis @nkoperweis
LYRICS:
As above, so below;
As within, so without;
As the universe, so the soul
I find myself infectiously waiting for a glimpse at the dismal sun
But instead, possessed is my shadow from the moonlight as the night begun
My now mutating silhouette, to swell and embody a monolith which seeps agony
It rains a bubbling storm with thousands of eyes agazed, spellbound by its stagnancy
An intoxicating froth spews below its mist, igniting a delicate illumination
The overseers are drugged from a god adrift, from my unforeseen creation
I find myself infectiously waiting for a glimpse at the dismal sun
But instead, possessed is my shadow from the moonlight as the night begun
My now mutating silhouette, to swell and embody a monolith which seeps agony
It rains a bubbling storm with thousands of eyes agazed, spellbound by its stagnancy
The fog enshrouds the sun with a cosmic shame
An ancient faith rebirthed through a patient flame
As above, so below;
As within, so without;
As the universe, so the soul
An intoxicating froth spews below its mist, igniting a delicate illumination
The overseers are drugged from a god adrift, from my unforeseen creation

Damn, Navene Koperweis is killing it on drums! I swear, he's the go-to guy in modern death metal when you need a solid ass drummer that delivers! Entheos rips too!
I didn't know that - Fleshwrought reunion right here!
Maybe he could check into playing for Fallujah since their drummer left the band this year
bro is a master guitarist too 😂
@@Elmothefuzzle Yeah he's a beast! Writes some siiiiiiiick riffs for sure.
This was the first band of this genre of metal and they will always remain in that special little place in my heart!!! Nobody compares to Job For A Cowboy!!! They're literally on their own playing field in the metal scene!!!
Feels like I've waited a lifetime for this moment. My soul needs this now more than ever. Welcome back boys.
dude i knowwwwwwww :') and the album seems to be called Moon Eater ?!?!?! I remember watching the metal blade instagram live during the pandemic and Johny said "hypothetically speaking, if there was a follow up to Sun Eater, hypothetically speaking, its done." and here we are 3 years later, and i am not disappointed AT ALL :'D
IT'S HAPPENING OMG IS THIS REAL LIFE
Edit: Also catch me playing drums for JFAC at Blue Ridge Rock Fest this year!!!!!!
You filling in for a show? And what happened with bos? Joining a new band? Starting one?
I’ll be there at BRRF
I was about to ask who the drummer was. Great job!! Kudos as always to Jason for the amazing sound on everything he hands on. I've known him for years and he definitely has his sound on point more now than ever before.

Noooo way! JFAC is back!!!! I was just thinking the other day, Daath is back, Dethklok is back, Wretched is back, Texas in July is back, wouldn't be awesome if Job for a Cowboy also released a new album after almost 10 years? And here we are!!
Wretched is back??
Yeah! We just signed Wretched! Announcement went out on July 20th, so still pretty recent news.
Yeahhhh both of them plus Cryptopsy. This must just be the year of grand returns
What a time to be alive...
At least they came back before the end of my schools summer break
The chorus is the most amazing thing I have heard in the metal scene in a LONG time.
I remember seeing these guys play at Nightmare Fest back in 2006 or 2007. Their drummer was a minor. It's crazy to hear new music from them after so many years.
Yea I remember seeing them one night on tour and it was his birthday. He was turning 16 I believe lol crazy
She nightmare fest fursure 06 !
The riffs, of my god the riffs. That tone in the solo is exquisite, and the outro is just pummeling. Glad theyre keeping the bass high in the mix still, really interested to hear more in this direction, a good evolution from Sun Eater
Nick is a damn good bassist
Listen to Carrion Vael then xd
The bass kinda ruins it for me. Maybe with a bit more distortion.
I am a great fan of making the bass guitar audible as well, but not in this particular way.
I'VE BEEN WAITING NEARLY 10 YEARS. I was still in high school when Sun Eater dropped. JFAC was the band that got me into metal. Plus, they're from my hometown. I'm so happy they are back again.
Holy Mackerel, I was in High School when Doom dropped. JFAC also got me into metal. That is rad as fuck dude.
@@NeedITDeathHeated Regardless of me favoring only one or two songs per album - the transition of sound/composition between Doom and Sun Eater is one of the best evolutions in metal history
Their album Genesis still blew my mind away probably the first technical deathcore I've heard back in 2007 they are ahead of their time
Still one of my favorite albums of all time. Learned so much as a guitarist just from learning to play that album.
Genesis doesn't get the credit it deserves. I love that album.
The song is a masterpiece!! I can't wait for the whole album to come out
I have waited almost a decade for this moment. They've been my favorite band ever since 2006. Great job to everyone that worked on this album, I hope this album blows the F up!
Hard same, except 2008 for me.
Glad to see them keeping shredding guitar solos a thing, I don't hear that enough anymore
I totally lived this in a LSD overdose...now,I quit the psychedelics,I watched all I needed to watch.
I wore my job for a cowboy shirt to the Pantera show in San Diego a few days ago and multiple people were like dude I remember that band! I love JFAC wish they'd make more music. And then I see they drop a new song 👀🤯
I'm just going to say it's your fault I have to spend money buying this album next year then. Also thank you 😂 Really happy they're coming back!

@@mancollins9478 yeah it was fucking badass! they still got it for sure. Stoked they had Zakk Wylde shredding like he does to honor Dimebag too

@@Guaguadeath YOU did this!
:D
The mix on this is Incredible.
Bass tone, vocals and the guitar riffs are Sick!
Would be sick if they brought Elliot from the Doom album back.
Agreed, Elliott was a beast
The ending is chilling. Through cycles of rebirth, we are this massive creature experiencing itself over and over and over - much like leaves to a tree. We are ageless; traveling through dimensions transfigured.
I met these guys more than a decade ago when I started playing guitar, still absolutely love them today \m/ I'll never forget them bringing a man in a wheelchair straight to the front of the line for the meet and greet, outstanding musicians and gentlemen
I’m a 31 year old grown ass man and die hard metal head and when I saw this song and heard it, I teared up. What this band meant to me as a young man and even now along with this new song is just indescribable. I can’t wait for more brutality from JFAC! Love these guys!

I have listened to this song so many times today. I have lost count. New job for a cowboy is a miracle. Love it so much.
I don't play any instruments, so I don't understand very much about it, but it seems to me that the bass in this song is ridiculously good! What do you guys think about it? Btw, GREAT RETURN, JFAC! Awesome song!

With my brother, many years ago, we listened again and again the EP "Doom" when it was released, and especially the track Entombment of a Machine. Welcome back boys !!!!! \m/

I was talking to Navene when Entheos played the TechTrek tour last year, he said he had already tracked the drums for the new JFAC album but he couldn't share any details yet. So stoked to hear the new stuff!!
This band just gets better and better and better. You know the riffs are sick when it's actually hard to learn by ear
Instrumentally this is a gem, very nice melodies in the guitar solo and the bass is counterpointing very well while keeping his role.
Yeah, the instrumentals are fucking fire, but what is up with the mix on the vocals? They're suuuuuper pushed back and I can't really hear any consonants at all.
Amazing! Brilliant new song!
They just keep getting better and better. Nick really evolved their sound over his time with them. Job for a Cowboy are lucky to have such a formidable bass player.
Today is a good day. What a great song. I'm glad the bass still sounds just as awesome as it did on Sun Eater
