I've been a part of this community since before Wrong Warping was discovered. ("Wrong Warp" used to be what we called Fairy Fountain Alternative Exits in MM which is hilarious to think about.) I watched the first MM 2 Pause the month it came out. I remember watching OOT 100% 3 Pause all day at my uncle's house live on Feb. 21st all those years ago. Ever since, I've made every single Feb. 21st stream and love to rewatch these demonstrations. This is basically a national holiday for me now. Thanks for keeping it alive, Keeta. Here's to ten years next time!
I don't think fairy fountain alternative exits are the same as wrong warping? With the alternative exits you're just getting to another exit and then right-warping.

We used to call it a "Wrong Warp" before Wrong Warping was in either OOT/MM, but then actual Wrong Warping was discovered ~2012 and we realized "Alternate Exit" was probably a better name for the fairy fountain trick. Look up "Wrong Warp glitch with Fairy Fountains" and you'll find a video from Mr. Grunz (a legendary OOT/MM TASer who discovered things like the HESS) explaining his new discovery. Every strategy and tutorial video from 2009-2012 called it the "Wrong Warp."

For anybody seriously asking about 0.5 c presses: It is impossible to have 0.5 button presses in a full game run. You can only have half presses inside of a segmented run, where you expect that a button press has already been done previously, but has been held the whole time. So you could say that a level (or a dungeon in this case) has 0.5 presses if it only needs the button to be held from a previous level. But the game still has 1 whole press, from the previously pressed and then held button

Only had time to finish this now, but this was super sick. Lots of really cool tricks in the run, and I don't know if the c button challenge will have any other evolutions like different categories that will be interesting enough to watch (IE: not 500 c presses for 100%), but still this was crazy cool. Question about when the game is reset at 2:16:05. Adult had Sold Out on B when entering the child segment. I'm not the most knowledgeable when it comes to these mechanics, but I thought Adult gets stick on B when the game is reset and he doesn't have a proper sword on B. I know Sold Out functions as Master Sword for combat, is it also considered a proper sword that is remembered and given back to him after a game reset? If not, then what causes the BA that is done to work when child goes back to adult?
the game only runs this logic for the age that you reset as. as in, if you have non sword items on B as both child and adult, and save reset, then only the age you were in will get stick/blank on B. the other age will keep whatever was on its B.
I love ZFG, but god, it always sounds like he's disinterested in these collabs. Probably not really the case, but at the end of this one especially, it got me. No one is obligated to express their excitement or joy in a way that’s foreign or uncomfortable to them. He’s expressing it in his own chill way, which is exactly how I and many other people do it.
To put the half-press memes to rest, is there any situation where entering a loading zone with a c button held down allows you to do any helpful action you wouldn't be able to do normally? If yes, then entering that loading zone, doing the action, and then exiting would likely be the closest OoT equivalent of a half-press. If no, and c press holding is only ever useful while the item in the c button is currently in use due to the press itself, then OoT likely doesn't have any half-press functionality.
honestly even doing IL-type stuff with a run like this doesn't make a lot of sense. the route is a lot more complex than something like SM64, and major rerouting would be likely if new developments are made in the future. like the major route differences in the OoT low-pause LOTADs.
I had a thought about saving a C press but I realized you equip swap the hookshot long before ever using it but my thought was, and idk if this even works in OOT, but my thought was could you press down the C button to equip the hookshot, but keep it held down and leave the pause screen and would that cause you to use the hookshot immediately and then you could just equip it at the same time you need to use it so it's all in one C press? But idk if OOT even works like that when holding a button and unpausing, and plus I realized after I thought about it and idk how equip swap works in the run and I assume you equip swap it over the bottle so early because of some shenanigans I don't understand. Idk, just a thought I had for trying to save a C press. OOT all dungeons in 5 C presses when?
