I’m so sorry this isn’t a 100% run because you failed to pick up every kitty and tell them they were very pretty kitties and make smoochy noises and let them know you loved them. Easy thing to miss. Seriously though, this was delightful and I loved every second! Excellent work. I’m gonna watch the any% next, cant wait to see what crazy tricks are in that one.
"While it IS impossible to avoid talking to the squirrel as far as I know, I will be trying my hardest to avoid talking to a chicken and several frogs later" context saves the day again.
You have a really consistent, soft, smooth voice, which is pretty much required for a 6 hour commentary lol. I hope this isn't considered an insult, but this video always makes me sleepy. Its like I'm laying on a couch casually watching you 100% twilight princess in an afternoon while explaining how all the techs are performed. Recording the commentary post-run makes it more like an audiobook 🥰 a lot of others do it live and its a bit jarring when they stop mid-sentence to focus and then repeat themselves a bunch.
Glad you liked it! Yeah, I chose to do it this way because commenting while speedrunning is pretty difficult, and doing it after the fact like this allowed for rerecords and short-term on-the-fly scripting.
I did just that. Fell asleep to his soothing voice then had a strange dream about going on a date with a speedrunner to a gaming convention hosted at a zoo. 8/10 would dream again, except hold off on the del Toro-esque animals
I've been watching this + the Majora's mask 100% over the past week or two, either to fall asleep to, or as background noise while I play a game, and I think my *actual* favorite part of these commentaries is how DRY your humour is in your voiceovers. Between stuff like 3:12:18 "If your spine is ever cracking and smoking like this, you should immediately see a chiropractor" and the "And now we're going to watch a cutscene of a very large and intimidating nose" comment in MM, your humor is EXACTLY my shit. Keep up the good work and effort my dude, this is some of my favorite stuff on TH-cam right now
Your narration and explanations throughout this entire run was an absolute delight. I scared my rabbit during this run because I unexpectedly laughed really loud at your "doctor's hate him" joke and she ran for cover at the audible intrusion. Keep up the fantastic work!
I wholeheartedly agree. I've watched my fair share of speedruns alright, but this is the most fun one I've watched in times. Maybe ever. 713 subscribers is insanely low.
4:40:15 When you hear vital commentary like this, you know that this is a community with engaged, knowledgeable, and serious speedrunners that really know how to demonstrate their mastery of the game and effectively communicate it to those unfamiliar with the run. I am truly impressed!
This is turning out to be the perfect video to make Christmas cookies to. Great commentary, love the sly humorous comments slipped in. I can tell exactly what's happening from the sounds and your explanations without needing to watch the screen too much. And I get to rewind when I miss something cool!! It's things like this that restore my faith in humanity. Some guy out there doing what he loves and taking the time to share it with the world can have a direct positive impact on someone else via the internet. What an amazing world we live in where speedrunning exists and it helps me make cookies.
Running errands while someone is literally dying is such strong sibling energy even though Link and Midna definitely aren’t related. I feel like if I were dying and my brother or sisters didn’t think it was urgent, we might run some errands on the way to the magical princess to cure me 😂😂😂
Watching this video is like mining away at a huge vein of gold. It takes a while to get through, and you'll need to take breaks, but every minute is packed with value. Great run, and amazing commentary. Keep up the good work!

@@bewildebeest you wouldn’t be a speed runner if you didn’t criticize yourself an ungodly amount I love watching world record holders talk about how horrible their world record run is 😂
I really appreciate how your commentary is approachable at many levels of knowledge. Like, you explain the very basics of how/why some of the most common of skips work, but also you point out why you stay human in the desert to collect bugs, because someone who knows enough about the game to know that Wolf!Link is faster might wonder that, but it's something a total beginner probably wouldn't think to question. Not only are they so so interesting but your voice is absolutely amazing, so soft, smooth, and warm, and it makes an EXCELLENT thing to fall asleep to since i need some type of video to help me fall asleep at night. The best part is I get to go back to the part i last remember before i fall asleep and continue watching the next night to see what i missed. and I have a fresh experience and learn more! i loved watching your any% run for this game and hearing you explain all the glitches and stuff, it was so fun to learn about all the whacky mechanics of the game and how you absolutely break it lol
This was an incredible commentary. Twilight Princess was one of my favorite games as a kid, and it was amazing to watch you tear it apart. I would love to see more commentated runs.
Thank you for this great video. The commentary is great and I get to watch it bits a time while I'm in bed until I fall asleep. Then the next day I come back to the part I fell asleep at and keep watching from there, because I don't want to miss any of the explanations. It's entertaining as well as relaxing to me.
If you told me 2 days ago i’d watch a 6 hours long speedrun and actually enjoy it i would not believe you. The commentary is very good and you explain well everything in the run. Thanks for making this and have a great day.
It's absolutely crazy that this video does not have a million views such a great explanation great commentary and great game play The algorithm brought me here I hope it brings a whole lot more
I've never watched a commentated speed run, so this was really like being a kid watching my older cousins play video games all over again. Very nice and peaceful to listen to while I draw!
It's pretty cool of you to give a flashing lights warning and debrief during the epona wolf link glitch, very thoughtful. Thanks for creating this amazing, oddly calming speedrun commentary
Came to this one after watching the Majora's mask one, and I was not ready for link-thulu an hour in I must say. In seriousness, I have about the same opinion I'm seeing around the comments: the way you present the information, tone, etc are all top notch and a pleasure to watch and listen to.
This video is something that keeps popping up in my recommended page because TH-cam knows that this is one of the videos I put on when I'm winding down from the day. This is phenomenal content and I am grateful for the amount of time and effort this took, from your skills of the game, to creating a script to explain how and why things are being done, and the recording of the commentary.
Your voice-over was so calm and engaging that I enjoyed watching this whole thing. Thanks for the content, and the explanations of what could go right and wrong!!
It took me a week of watching this while falling asleep, then backtracking and beginning again; but I finally finished and I loved the gameplay, the commentary, and the whole video. Watched all 6.5 multiple times, and will now watch MM and the other TP speeding versions I saw

An absolute gem of a channel, really glad to have found this in my recommendations! For me, the voice of whoever’s commentating is make or break for whether I’ll watch through or not, and yours is perfect for this. I appreciate the effort you’ve gone to in doing the voiceover after the fact
This was so fun to watch! It's really impressive that you're able to keep this all in mind and play with such skill! Loved your commentary on it too, it was both interesting and hilarious. Thanks for the great video!

A wonderful video. I think it's the hype of TotK coming up that made me decide "Hell yea, 6 1/2 hour Twilight Princess video time," but whatever the reason truly was, I was quite glad I gave into the thought.
havent watched runs of this game since like 2015-2016 already looking at the comments and hearing your voice in the intro i am going to be enthralled for the next 6 and a half hours cannot wait to see the newish run!

Really enjoyable watch, especially right after the Majora's Mask 100% speedrun, haha. Loved your sense of humor--"This grotto sucks," the repeated and escalating "Whee!" as you went after that one heart piece, and, of course, "One weird clip, doctors hate him." The ending was a bit abrupt, but I can't complain after six hours of relaxing and watching you absolutely wreck shop in one of those Zelda games I haven't played as much as I have most of them.
Yes, I live for speedruns that are commentated. Not only do you get the cool flashy tricks but you also get an explanation and nearly always just a good voice to go with the gameplay. I remember as a kid I never liked Twilight Princess, but now I have much more respect for it.
It was so funny to watch the King bulblin 1 fight get completely trivialized by the bow and arrows XD never seen that before. I love 100%/Max% runs for this reason, so many fun things explored within the game that you would never see in an any% run
As someone with a sensitivity to flashing lights, I appreciated your warning, funny as it would've been to be able to see Wolf Link taming Epona :) Great run to watch with cool methodical and detailed commentary!
I don’t want to come across as creepy, but I use this video to fall asleep every night, something about the dark and nostalgic atmosphere of my favourite childhood game and your calm voice just makes me feel safe, thanks man.
Thanks for uploading this. I played the game in high school years ago but never got around to beating it. I felt like I beat the game vicariously through watching you lol
Your narration is wonderful and your voice is so soothing ♥️ Your delivery is at once timely, informative, and witty- What more could one want in a run-commentary?

really enjoying this commentary! i quite like watching you live, but having a deeper explanation that goes moment-by-moment is helping me understand the run a lot better. also you call castle town "clock town" at 1:37:20 lol

"I will do my best to avoid talking to a chicken and several frogs later"
Yes, I live for speedruns that are commentated. Not only do you get the cool flashy tricks but you also get an explanation and nearly always just a good voice to go with the gameplay.
I remember as a kid I never liked Twilight Princess, but now I have much more respect for it.
unironically watched this for bed to fall asleep
worked like a charm but was also informative for one of my favorite zelda games
It was so funny to watch the King bulblin 1 fight get completely trivialized by the bow and arrows XD never seen that before. I love 100%/Max% runs for this reason, so many fun things explored within the game that you would never see in an any% run
Oh, thanks for warning about flashing lights, and being precise about when it is and when it's over; that's very considerate of you.
I wish I could watch this for the first time again.
I really love how you say "oh no" like a narrator for a children's cartoon. Its a really nice little thing you do and its great!
As someone with a sensitivity to flashing lights, I appreciated your warning, funny as it would've been to be able to see Wolf Link taming Epona :) Great run to watch with cool methodical and detailed commentary!
it's just a very squished and stretched wolf link with lots of gray flickering triangles sticking out of him
maybe you could reduce the video speed. that helps me
your voice is really hot honest to god makes these commentated speedruns really nice to watch
I loved this, thank you so much. Your commentary was so insightful
Love this game so much and i love watching speedruns, good video 👍
Poggers congrats on this run!
(Also having a commentary is definitely gonna be useful for me to learn hundo so tyvm!)
im not remotely interested in speedrunning myself but these videos are delightful, thanks for making these
Your narration is wonderful and your voice is so soothing ♥️ Your delivery is at once timely, informative, and witty- What more could one want in a run-commentary?
Im getting so many TAS/speedruns commentary vids recommended and I aint complaining. These vids are so nice and interesting and this vid is one of them. Thanks for uploading :)
Love this video loads. So well done, amazing explanations, you’re so well spoken, and lots of funny and entertaining moments and comments. Genuinely have enjoyed every minute of this 💖
This video was therapeutic. I enjoyed your voice and commentary very much. Great speedrun!
4:40:20 that was so funny and unexpected, top tier commentary!
thank you so much for this amazing content. this has been an amazing companion for me during down time, lunches, and train rides. when i first played through this game, i was just a young, dumb ocarina stan, but after watching this hundo run, there's a more to TP than i remember (YETO X YETA FOREVER)!
really enjoying this commentary! i quite like watching you live, but having a deeper explanation that goes moment-by-moment is helping me understand the run a lot better.
also you call castle town "clock town" at 1:37:20 lol
Dude this is a great vid. Definetly gonna watch more vids.
