    I am 11 days post op. I had lipo, facetight and Morpheus 8 done at the same time. My chin and neck area is still numb and seems to be full of fluid. When I’m looking left or right is a tight pulling sensation. Had my post op appointment today the Dr he said no need to wear the head wrap 24hours anymore. Just to use at night- but when it’s not on it feels so loose and jiggly!! I also was given the go ahead to massage which is so weird since everything still is numb I don’t know if I’m rubbing hard enough. I am discouraged seeing so many before and after pictures two weeks out with a huge difference mine looks the same if not worse with the fluid/swelling.

    Massage therapist here, who is licensed in Manual Lymphatic Drainage. I'm sure I'll get blocked, but if I can help anyone on here, I have a duty to.
    Lymphatic drainage should absolutely NEVER hurt. It is the pressure of a nickel on the skin. If you do deep massage, you are completely bypassing the lymphatic system, which is just underneath the skin. It should almost feel like tickling. Please disregard what he is saying, it is absolutely "necessary" to go see a licensed therapist in manual lymphatic drainage.
    I'm disappointed that a professional surgeon isn't providing the correct information for his patients, and causing more harm than good.

    • @deebirdee
      @deebirdee 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @jns51408 I visited a couple of websites and also videos on this platform to see exact method - the important thing is to massage towards the neck, so you are pushing the lymph build-up downwards. also if you feel hard nodules, rub them between your thumb and index to squash them (this part really hurts, but they are fat remnants that need to be loosened). you will also feel stinging and like electrical pain - don't worry, this is your nerves (flesh) reattaching themselves to the dermis (skin). Good luck with your recovery xx
